You better go for the food science. If you're a guy then that goes double as you have no need to hurry to get it right. Don't let anyone deceive you that first class in Zoology beats a third class in Food Science.
Well, except by the grace of God, you don't want to spend your time roaming the streets with a certificate without relevance. Many of our university courses in Nigeria today ought to be scrapped. No wonder alot of people are unemployable and unemployed. You're not in Sweden or France, you know.
Thanks

Hey Nairalanders,

I'm currently in a state of confusion now and i thought i could reach out to the knowledgeable ones on this forum who can help clear my mind.

On applying for admission last year i was given zoology to study, but i didn't like the course. Although i went ahead to take the opportunity, i tried for another admission this year into pharmacy. But my course was changed again on getting admitted and i was given food science instead.

I initially wanted to just go ahead with the one I'm doing already (zoology), but i met some people who informed me that food science is better. Now I'm confused on which one to pick.

Please I'd like any professionals in the above fields to enlighten me more on them including the prospects and which is better in our economic climate. I tried researching on both but i didn't come up with much. I hope i can find answers here.

I don't know the mods in charge but I'd like if this topic can be pushed forward for more coverage.

Science/TechnologyRe: What Will Our World Look Like In A Thousand Years From Now? by blaquebelle: 7:07am On Nov 20, 2017
DanseMacabre:
I just got thinking about what our world will look like in a 1000 years.

You can answer from any POV or perspective you want, but mine's gonna be from an archaelogical one.
This is because I believe that this current civilisation, epoch if you will, will not exceed the next 5000 years, and that's giving it a long long time. One short reason: technological advancement + advanced sociopaths = nuclear weapons capable of obliterating human existence as we know it.

So, I feel that in a millenium, archaelogists (if they're still called by that appelation then). will sift through the ruins of this epoch and find plastic bottles, used condoms, carcasses of electronic appliances, hectares upon heaps of car, train, plane and ship scrapyards, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Wutang CDs, polythene bags; in short all these biodegradable materials with half-lives of thousands of years.

So, what's your take on what the world as we know it would look like in a thousand years?

shocked

Na wa,
This is exactly why my first date with any woman is to take her swimming.
These are my reasons;

1). The water will wash away her makeup and reveal her 'real face'.

2). I can ascertain her true assets.... No push-up bras or yansh pads.

3). From the way she reacts to the water, you can tell if she has a marine spirit.

4). Lastly, I can tap current like crazy...just incase she doesn't let me debbé at the end of the day
There is waterproof makeup and as for your second point, some swimsuits nd bikinis have push up pads in them

RomanceFrance Delibrates On 13 As Legal Age For Sexual Consent by blaquebelle(op): 5:54pm On Nov 14, 2017
A bill being prepared by the French government could set a minimum legal age for sexual consent for the first time, and the country's justice minister said that she thinks 13 years old could be a reasonable age. Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet told France's RTL radio network that age 13 was a "limit that is worth considering" for the upcoming legislation, but noted that judges should also have the ability to assess whether someone was old enough to give consent in individual situations.

"The question of the age below which the minor's consent is presumed not to exist is crucial because there are obviously extremely shocking and unacceptable situations," Belloubet said. One of her colleagues in the French government has said that a minimum age for sexual consent has not been set for the bill. Marlene Schiappa, a junior minister for gender equality, said Sunday that the cutoff could be between the ages of 13 and 15.

A minimum age of sexual consent does not currently exist in French law. The law only says that an adult who performs a sexual act with a person under the age of 15 "without violence, coercion, threat or surprise" can be prosecuted for "sexual abuse," not rape.
