Before you all crucify me. Kindly look at the average cost of Chinese Construction of railines from the well respected Railway Finance website http://www.railway-technical.com/finance.shtmlMr right, did you check the part where they said" it will cover all the seaport enroute? What of the fact that those people that will construct it are expartrate and dia charges will be different? What of the raw materials, can ds nation boast of all the rawmaterial to finance ds project.....add up the import rates, expatrate and Nigeria factor. And tell me ao on earth it will be the same thing with dos ones you showed earlier. A |

1 LAUGHING AT MY PAINS PART ONE by whatdnewssay · February 15, 2016 A TALE OF DAPO BELLO (@BLARKRAIMEZ) Chapter 1: Approximately five years after my graduation from the university. Fixing me in any company’s pay roll seems so difficult like parting the Red sea. There are fierce looking employers that would not stop bombarding me with useless questions during interviews; “what have you been doing since 2010?…Are you saying in, the last 5 years you cannot come up with a plan that will put food on your table?” Are they not aware Barclay’s premiership and UEFA Champions league have been engaging thousands of Nigerian graduates? Please tell this man to check my CV again; I’m from Osun State. Our dear Governor, Aregbesola, did not pay a dime since eight months. How can you say “We are so sorry, 25 is the maximum age for this position” if you are not foolish enough to check my graduating age, NYSC, Msc. and PhD in view status? Do you still need to be told I was just 22 when I had my first degree? To avoid interviews and fake vacancies on the social network, my uncle forced me to register with a recruiting firm called PSS at Okota. Excluding N2000 transportation from Ikorodu, this company promised to give me four job postings at N3,500. What is Hmm?…Yea I lied to my uncle, the tfare is not more than N900 to and fro. U wan blame me? How I wan buy lacasera and gala in scotching sun and bobo for his battalion kids? God should postpone his coming back to at least when I got a job, then the judgment couldn’t be fairer. Unlike every recruiting firm with queues, my first day at PSS was somehow different. Just a stone throw from the popular Cele bustop via mile 2 badagary expressway, I spent almost 30 minute locating the office. It is not as big as my Uncle and his friend portrayed it… “Dapo this company will surely get you a job, they have found job for more than 50 people I know, if this company couldn’t get you a job, it means it is a spiritual attack from home and you should just stop looking for job.” If you knew my uncle you would not believe this statement. He once told me I couldn’t get a job in access bank because I dint do accounting. He could have fixed me in fly emirate if only I was a woman. His friend could have given me a job but am over qualified. Zenon oil was recruiting if only I had a first class blah blah blah………………. Uncle, please! Am jobless today because Nigeria is not doing something right, plus you are not connected sir. Inside the PSS office, I met only the owner. If I cannot see the other staff how do I access the workforce? In front of him, I saw avalanche of CVs and he keep scratching the legions of pimples that used his face as abode. I thought within me, do I stand a job position with this man’s pimples population and oversized suit? Well, don’t let me judge the book by the cover. After the total payment, he told me to go home and before evening my first posting will be sent to my mail. With so much enthusiasm, I waited for the mail like the astrologers awaiting the emergence of the eclipse. The first posting was Montaigne’s place opposite four point Sheraton, Sand field, Victoria Island Lagos. I used almost all my data to check what they do. Gosh! They are beautician and major in distribution of some designers’ products. In my mind, I was like, will securing a job here fulfill my dream of owning a range rover sport, will I be selling whitening cream, perfumes in buses and Molue, considering the location they should pay well, is it truly that am finally getting a job after all this years? |

EDUCATION IS A TRAP! DONT DO It by whatdnewssay · September 16, 2015 Few months to my 3rd decade on planet earth, being a Nigerian boy that has never for once steeped his feet outside the shores of this country, I think I have seen it all when it comes to the issues of government in the country called Nigeria. I was still a toddler in the IBB regime, but the scars on my knee, really proved, I actually dint crawl on a marble or rugged apartment and the street accent coupled with the way I jump when I see boiled egg up till now, showed silver spoon was not part of my parents possession. I point the accusing fingers to my parents for my entire ordeal in life, especially not able to get myself registered in any companies pay roll in Nigeria. I mean, of all the money making ventures in this country, why will the two of them be a teacher? That crime was a premeditated one, someborry pls get me a lawyer, let us sue my ancestors. My frustrations abounds on a daily basis, as I watch all my talents, dreams and suppose enterprises ,either collapse or no longer realistic. take for instance i was the best football player in the whole of my school during the university days and everybody can attest to that, I have the whole page of the school magazines covered with pictures from my performances in shows and events, I can even make a person on a death row laugh. But all this talents faded away because of only one thing, Degree. Education they said made things easier, that is why I became the best I can be educationally. A masters degree at hand and a Phd in view really qualified me to be at the fore front of enjoyment, but brother it is the other way around. My own observation in Nigeria now shows, the more educated you are in this country, the less rich you are. If you are a medical doctor, a lecturer, an accountant or whatsoever all you can have is having access to all the good things of life but never should you dream of getting richer than the footballers, musicians, comedians, faragon owners, our politicians and in some cases commercial sex workers. Telecommunication companies and bank pay musicians and comedians in millions while university graduates in their establishment can actually calculate their salaries in 10 years, so tell me, why get educated? As a matter of fact those enjoying the huge, non-probable money in Nigeria still has their university degree pending till further notice or berra still totally drop out, mind you I wasnt talking about Bill and Mark. Anytime I look at the naked wire in my electrical junction box or I see this mysterious rope dangling around my ceiling fan, I tinks I should just make use of it and end it all, but then I remember those teachers that call themselves my parents, I think they believe more in me. They gave me education as an exchange for their pension, that will be like cheating if I commit suicide, without paying them back all their investments. So Oladapo no go kill himself However I take succor in the fact that Education promise me a brighter future and a platform to excel anyday, anytime and anywhere, so forget all those nonsense I said in the former paragraph, I was just fooling around and besides, I must get you to read this. You can become anything coupled with education as a matter of fact you will be different and all those long way of sleeping under the bridge, begging producers, washing the marketers car will be avoided, why? Because you are educated, u know 1000 ways to go about it, So my brother if you are still in my shoes, I mean the kasun kajis, hold on and keep trying, those certificates with you, will still feed you, its just a matter of time, not all of us will sing and play football because some of us need to make planes, make ships, save lifes, construct houses, feed the nation, become ministers and permanent secretaries e.t.c neither the best footballer in the world nor the best voices can do it even if they have the capital to finance it, they cannot do it without you . So we all need we blarkraimez |
Why will anyone want to sign a 4th main bridge.. claiming it is 38km. the link is just only 4km bridge, why would anyone call it 38km. we are look at it from satellite picture. It is a 4km bridge. The most important bridge is a 2km bridge linking from the end of the naval base apapa linking the 3rd mainland bridge. to save people lifes. You want to stop them from killing innocent people all the time, by moving them away from resident area. Why would you spent billion of naira, breaking down people houses and making nearly 10,000 people homeless. when you can just link ondo state. If you dont link ondo state, you are going to continue to spend billions forever, just building bridge. and wasting tax payers money, which you can save the people. why bring suffering on the people. If your house is one of them, will you like it. No. beautification of lagos does not mean, you have to break up people homes. In ondo state. the government gave the people paint, roofing sheet. It is the same thing you just see anambra did. and they are showing you the picture, making anambra look good. You just have to provide paint and roofing sheet for the people. And make laws to make them clean up. [I will not blame you because u dont av an idea of wat people in ikorodu face daily to reach the island. Most people wake up by 3am to get to work and wont come bak home until 12. Using even masef a case study. Belif u me the passage of the bridge has little effect on d reaidential areas as seen. Bro am suo u were one of dos people dat blamed d peevious lag govt for demolishing road for brt. Believ u me we all know it was worth it. All ds inflation dint get to lagos tranaport cos d blue brt broke their monopoly. Pls thinj outside d box, the 4 th mainlabd bridr will remove traffic in all the major lagos road. |
