PoliticsRe: Ondo Governorship: Borrofice Favoured To Pick APC's Ticket by Blastos(m): 9:36am On Jul 14, 2016
Oshoboy01:
Ahead of the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, the pulse of majority stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sahel Standard gathered is swayed towards the emergence of Senator Ajayi Borrofice as the flag bearer of the party.

Though the party in the state had denied anointing any of the aspirants for its ticket, feelers in the party is that leaders are wary of fielding a less popular candidate that will affect its chances of forming the next government in the state.

According to sources in the party, the scheming within the party, which are largely subtle is directed at the emergence of a candidate that will guarantee the party victory at the poll.

The arrangement will consolidate the party’s growing strength in the state, placed the Oka-Akoko born politician at a pole position to picks the party’s ticket as most of the party’s leader agreed will produce a victory.

While other aspirants jostling for the ticket of the party were as well considered, the general consensus by most leaders of the party who considered the advantage of the party taking over the Alagbaka Government House, favoured Borrofice.

The Professor of Zoology, who is currently representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the senate for the second term, is believed by most of the leaders to have the necessary political wherewithal to deliver victory for the party.

He noted that ” he (Borrofice) is considered by many as the ideal candidate that can give our party (APC) victory in the governorship election. Not only is he well entrenched among electorates in the state, the manner which he dared Mimiko and went ahead to win his re-election to the senate is intimidating and cannot be easily ignored.

The source stressed that to ensure Borrofice emerge the party’s flag bearer, there have been moves by some leaders within the party to mobilise their structures to back him, noting that some other aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket may as well backed down and throw their weight behind Borrofice, following the intervention of the leaders working

“Everyone knows this time is our best shot at taking over Ondo State and we must be cautious not to throw away that chance. Listen, all those aspiring to fly our party’s ticket are good, that remains incontrovertible.

“But what Ondo State electorate want is the best and we must not give them the contrary. Borrofice happens to be our best shot and I think everyone, including our leaders are seeing that fact. I share the reasoning that he would pick our party’s ticket, if otherwise, the 2012 experience may reoccur,” he said.

FamilyRe: I Suspect My Mom Is Cheating, Help Me!! by Blastos(m): 7:06pm On Jul 10, 2016
Jackpal:
This is a fact based on what is happening in my family presently.

Around last week Fridays afternoon i saw my mom hiding her phone from me at first, i didn't even bother but when I discovered she was sending messages to a unknown number i started putting notice to it. This happened till late in the night like around 2 am, i was awake and I went to the sitting room only to see her washing clothes in the laundry and simultaneously chatting with someone and this is very unusual of her but my father didn't notice notice anyways.

On Saturday Last week the following morning i heard her making calls that she will be there by afternoon i felt like confronting her but i felt that she might just be going to her place of work. Afternoon came and she said she was going to another town for a naming ceremony we didn't mind. I left the house and i came back around 9pm and discovered that she wasn't back yet so i called her and she told me she won't be coming back that night then i knew she was up to something. I listened to the background very much and I noticed it isn't a party stuff or anything.

On Sunday she came back and I was mad but i just kept mute as i thought that I was not in a position to confront her.

Fast forward to today's early morning around 4 am. I heard my dad's angry voice he was very angry with my mum at first I thought she broke something in the room but i later heard my mum pleading that he didn't have sex with the man. After much contemplating, i went out of my room to the sitting room where they were and i saw my mom holding her phone i sensed that, her act has been exposed. My father left us there and went to his room. I confronted my mom and told her that i knew she didn't go for a naming ceremony the previous week and she was kind of surprised and she asked me how i got to know but I didn't reply her.
My dad came out of his room and asked her to come inside. Like after about two hours, my mom came to call me and I went to their room and dad sat me down and told me that he saw a text message on my mom phone the sender said they were to meet the day before but she my mom didn't meet him. My mom said the man is just a boss at his office and nothing more. So dad told me that I am his witness that if such happens again that he is going to divorce my mom. Well, my mom insisted that she didn't have sex with the man

I have 3 siblings and but they are still small am the first born am about clocking 20 years of age.

What should I do please?
my people, dis story resemblle all those stories wey I dey read 4 magazine ooo.
My advice, am from a Divorced home, and its not funny at all. For ur siblings who are still growing up, its going to be horrible. Get ur mom and Dad, dnt be afraid when telling them about d dangers of broken homes, make them understand dat they are supposed to be partners 4 life and role models 2 u and ur siblings. Then u ask them 2 get rid of dia smart phones and use one collective laptop for their internet activities. Then they should also have a benchmark partaining to d time each parent should be at home, deending on their Jobs. Encourage them to always socialize most times.. D acquintance grows dat way... God bless Nigeria! Happy sunday to u.. And God bless ur family.

Read with a clear mind not as a party member!
Now Ebonyi State Government calling back it citizens Hawking in Lagos on radio without any system on ground that this people will get in and get their daily bread and you are applauding Mr Umahi it just like Buhari Stopping importation if Paper while we don't have a paper mill that can produce enough papers Nigerians use, Now about IGr, Ebonyi state kept touts along Enugu Abakaliki road in the name of Agricultural Tax whatever; that is extortion, the Passenger manifest that made transport fares hike is part if your beloved Governors IGR generation scheme. Truth be yolf, the cars were expensive and very uncalled for, He (governor) comes out on TV and tells us that allocation from Abuja has reduced. that salaries of civil servants needs to be reduced in other for government to run, what about his security votes, how much is it? if he is a saint let him declare how much is it. in summary Umahis Government is the more you look, the less you see!
I am a card carrying member of PDP but I did not support d emergence of H.E Engr. David Nweze Umahi as d PDP standard bearer in d 2015 elections (because he camaigned against an administration which he was part and parcel of *as PDP state chairman and later Deputy Governor*). The truth be told my dear brother DNU has only just focused on d capital teritory development because dats wat attracts most investors to a state. On agricultural tax, I stand to correct u.. Its d ministry of commerce toll point which is situated at the Ebonyi/Enugu boundary. This is meant for agro-products brought in to b sold in d state. Transport fares? C'mon bro, d tax was imposed on d transport companies who have ripped Ebonyians off endlessly. Ai to Afk used to cost us #300 or #350 but its now #500(but d tax charged on these companies are only #50 per passenger). He plans to work on d state owned transport company, lets wait until dat gets done. The total cost of d cars given to these legislators is placed at about #390 million which dey would pay back (although it would be subsidized on a 60:40% basis with d govt incurring d cost of d latter). This was passed into law in Ebonyi state by d RT. Hon Christopher Omo Isu led House of Assembly in 2004. After buying for them dis month would he buy again for dem until dia tenure runs out?. Lets not crucify d Governor, but question d HOA members who earlier rejected d IVM made in Nigeria SUV(s) he presented to them last year. His Security vote is #350 million per month(way lesser than dat of Gombe state Deputy Governor) but he provides adequate financial environment for d police, civil defence, Immigration, customs, peace corps and even d community vigilante (ask any Ebonyian d kind of tough security dat we have in d capital territory and even d rural areas). My Governor no perfect but at least him try pass others. lets channel our criticism to d appropriate quaters. Governance sweet but e no easy.
On the aspect of d more u look d less u see, I agree with u because his govt (contract-wise) is a scam. I love all Ebonyians as much as I love all Nigerians but I love mercysam23 pass.. Peace... Like my people would always say.. UNU JOKWA!

ugohemma its 'BLASTOS' not blatos... As for d car gifts, I still stand with my story. Its captured as a loan which d house members payback into d coffers of d HOA through out their tenure. although d price is subsidized Dis money is used to take care of d HOA's overhead expenditure, so as to make d HOA financially independent. mercysam23 u never give me dat number ooo.

The reasons you gave for the governor purchasing cars for the HOA members is as lame as they are ridiculous.
It's just been revealed the cars were gifts. Perhaps you care to point to the part of the constitution that brought about such bogus gifts at austere times such as this?

For your info, a member of the HOA has admitted the cars were gifts, and she has decided to sell hers, according to her words, "in order to use the proceeds to empower her constituents" Obviously, one cannot sell such cars if they were for official purpose.
The story just hit FP. See it here: https://www.nairaland.com/3215895/maria-ude-nwachi-sell-suv
