As I drifted to sleep yesterday, I had a lot on my mind.

I thought about how life was for everyone of us while growing up and how it is now.

The truth is that, whether we fail to admit it or not, then was better. It was peaceful. Even if you came from a humble background, it was not this bad.

Let me refresh your memory a bit.

- There was a time that 1000 could last for two days, for even a family.

- Remember these sweet games we played back then: Monkey post, Bread and butter, If your mama cook Ogbono soup, Tinko tinko, police and thief? Remember?

- There was a time when N200 could get you the biggest size of bread.

- There was a time that we could walk freely at night without the fear of being nabbed.

- There was a time when the prices of goods were affordable and friendly to the common man.

- There was a time when our electricity wasn’t at its best but was good.

- There was a time when one cup of rice was N50 and sardines was 150

- There was a time when a dollar was just N150.

- There was a time when we used “promise card” during Christmas to get free money and items.

- There was a time when graduates land huge jobs in their final year to secure their future.

Even..

- There was a time when the best way to win a girl is to write her a letter with a beautiful handwriting or even a card.

Someone. Anyone . Do you remember these times

As a young man, just know that yuh MUST settle bills whether yuh like it or not!

While walking along the street today, this particular man that was Putting on a slightly dirty corporate which was drenched with Sweats

I smiled to myself, as I walked over to Oga EMA's shop to buy Bread which I will use to download my Hot Bean's at home...

While I bought the bread I was still watching this man, as he was still advertising his Agbo products under the hot sun while he was sweating profusely

"Oga and Madam no commot this market without buying this product, Because the next Time u fit see me I fit Aso Rock... Better come buy this my Ogbenge herbal Drink Wey go make your body and system strong kakaraka...and you go strong kankwe!!!"

I kept on Laughing at this man from Oga EMA's shop "with the current Hardshíps of the country na who strong and don chop belefull dey get Strength to Knack"

I paid for my bread and headed home

Boom "I heard someone shout *2mins man stop there"
No my ears might mistaken,no it can't be me...who will call me that when I never had any Intercourse with any girl in this street

The last statement was Soo paínful to me that I couldn't stand it any longer, I looked around and all I could find was one empty 501 bottle, I took it and tried Bréaking it on my head just like lagosians do when they wanna show how angered they are, the man run for his life when he saw me lift the bottle,I landed it on my head to smash it,but the thing no break rather na my head break,and bloód started oozing out.

I covered it with my hand, and headed for home
I was doubled with pain

I reconciled with the Agbor seller the next week,and bought one of his herbal drink, I invited a girl over to my place after having the drink

This is real issue

My mum owns a provision store she only sell credit to does she knows..even at that some rain insult on her if she decides not to sell .they will normally say it's not only her that is selling that they will go to another shop and buy it.so in order to suceed in business you have to accept insult for you to sell your goods.

Just because I have the money to buy an iPhone does not mean I must buy an iPhone.

Just because I have the money to buy the latest designers wears doesn't mean I must buy it.

Just because I have the money to lodge the best hotels doesn't mean I must lodge it.

Just because I have the money to be going out on dates with ladies, friends and families does not mean I must go out.

Just because I have the money to give doesn't mean I must give you.



Until you realise that having money and having enough money are two different things, you won't really know how to manage money.

People spend unwisely and are heavily in debt because they don't know this
