“There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?”
(John 6: 9)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

The lad in our Focal Scripture had five loaves and two fishes, which Jesus later used to feed the multitude. The resources that fed the multitude were in the hands of a lad; the resources that became raw materials to feed the multitude lay in his hands. He did not need to go and buy bread and fish; he already had them in his hands.

Beloved, God says, what you need to feed your generation is already in you; what you need to make a difference in the lives of multitudes is in you; what you need to move your nation forward is in you; what you need to fulfill your destiny is already in you; what you need to be useful to people around you is in you; what you need to be distinguished in life is already in you.

You have resources that your generation needs. The ideas that will turn the world around are already in you; the abilities that will solve problems for multitudes around you are already in you.

What God has planted in you may look like it is meant for you alone, but there are multitudes waiting to be fed from your ‘five loaves’ and ‘two fishes’. What you have may be little, but it will do much for you and people around you.

The multitudes around you may underrate you but they will still come for what you have in you. People may remind you that you are small while they are big, but there is something in you that they need, and they cannot do without you. The abilities/skills/ideas that will announce you to the world are already in you.

Dig deep within you and discover what God has planted in you; use what you already have within you and you will shine like a million stars.

Prayer : Lord, help me to discover what I have in me that will distinguish me, in Jesus’ name!Amen

Our Focal Scripture speaks of a lad (young boy) who had the five loaves and two small fishes which Jesus multiplied to feed the multitude. This lad was the carrier of resources that fed a multitude; he may have been small, but what he had solved the problem of a multitude; he was a small, but possessed huge resources.

Friend, are there ‘small’ sources, opportunities, relationships, ideas, visions, resources, etc that God has brought your way, but you are not taking them serious because they seem too small to make a significant difference?

Today, God says, pay attention to your small sources. Pay attention to opportunities that appear small in your eyes; pay attention to dreams and visions that look small compared to what you want to achieve; pay attention to people around you whom you consider to be too small to help you; pay attention to strategic relationships that seem too small to make any difference in your life. Pay attention to your small skills.

Philip found the lad with five loaves and two fishes, and Jesus took over. The small source got divine backing, and the result was an amazing miracle. God says, your small sources, ideas, skills, etc shall receive divine backing that will bring greater results.

Don't despise anything around you that appears small today. The big things of today mostly began from small things yesterday. The big things in the future will also begin in small things you may overlook today.

Ask God to show you the small things that hold the key to your resounding results; ask God to open your eyes to see the small things with great potentials.

Prayer : Lord, show me the small things that hold the key to my future greatness, in Jesus’ name!Amen

DISCUSSIONS ON YOUR BEHALF

When the multitude came to Jesus, they didn’t ask to be fed by Him; they just came to Him, and He began having discussions on how to feed them. The people were not aware that Jesus was making plans for their feeding; discussions were held in their favour, and they enjoyed a mega celebration they did not anticipate.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: discussions shall be held in your favour; men shall hold discussions to favour you; discussions shall be held in high places, and the outcome will be in your favour; discussions will be held in the corridors of power, and in the end, you shall have cause to smile.

Men prefer discussions that will be directly beneficial to them; but when Jehovah is involved, men will leave their own matters and begin discussions on your own matters. When Jehovah is involved, even the haters of your destiny may be part of the discussions but everything will turn out in your favour.

When Jehovah is involved, He will plant your worries and needs in the hearts of men, and they will discuss in your best interest.

You may not know the discussions that are going on right now, but God says, relax, they will discuss on how to favour you. Discussions will go on in heaven on how to favour you; discussions will take place on earth on how to favour you.

Discussions will take place among your haters, and they will favour you; strangers will hold discussions, and in the end, it will work in your favour.

Ask God to stir up discussions that will work in your favour; ask God to cause men to hold discussions that will work for your good.

Prayer : Lord, stir up discussions that will work in my favour, in Jesus’ name!Amen

A man gave testimony of how he came to cct 3weeks ago and that same day he got a job ,and he was still praying for another because that one was far from him and God gave him another that was nearer and better last week ....


Another woman gave a testimony of how she has been separated from the hubby and she was invited to cct 2weeks ago and the husband called her for the first time since they separated and was saying he is not going back because his home is with his family ....

Another woman gave a testimony of hw she was visited after coming to cct ,that she dream God gave her 2pot and everyone in her house was so happy ,but the mum was so angry with her !

Another woman was doing renunciation yesterday and a demon manifested saying she don't want her to renounce because she don't want the woman to be fruitful in her husband home .after interrogation the demon was the father mother behind her case ,she so much hate this woman mother because she is not in their witchcraft ..she stagnated the son wife and don't want the grand daughter to give birth...

Another woman ,when the man of God put the fire water on her a demon manifested that he is the senior brother to the woman husband ..that he is the one in charge of the woman problem ,he made the woman sons to be useless ,drinking, smoking and doing bad things just because he is jealous of the woman....

So many things happened ,that same God is still available in cct ...saturday the 25th of this month which is tomorrow God himself is coming into the mist of his people for deliverance and healing ...do not miss it for anything ,tell ur friends ,relatives ,family ,about cct .
For everyone that will be coming the God of elisha will do what only him knows how to do in ur life in Jesus name and ur coming will not be in vain.....God is not wicked

I am grateful o lord 2x ,for what u have done for me .I am grateful o lord...good mrn to all the conquerors on the thread both new and old yesterday service was wow ,so many testimony and deliverance took place . God I am so so grateful and joy fill my heart ....
Fulfilling destiny - continuing from last week ,destiny is God purpose for ur life on this earth .the reason why u were created is for a purpose .microphone was created for a purpose
So many people in the bible didn't fulfill destiny because of one reason or the other ,for example solomon was a great man ,very rich and has wisdom but he didn't fulfill destiny because of women ,also paul ,samson and others in the bible...
And there are so many people that fulfill destiny in the bible ,(1)Joseph -he was sold into slavery by his brothers ,had so Many challenge and even went to prison but at the end he fulfill destiny (2)another person was daniel and his troop which are the 3 hebrew boys -they were throw into the burning furnace because dey refuse to bow to other god .they fulfill destiny . (3)elijah also fulfill destiny,he is the prophet of fire . (4)rebecca (5)ruth they also fulfill destiny (6)jabez was a child of sorrow and he cried to God to change his story ,so he won't cause pain and God granted his request ,he also fulfill destiny (7)the man with the infirmity for 38yrs ,he also fulfill destiny (the one leper that return to testify in luk 17v16 ,that was made whole
Charaterlistic of people that fulfill destiny -
(1) They fear the lord
(2) They walk before God 12v1
(3)They serve God
(4)They are honorable people,good people
(5)They are prayerful
(6)They live for others ,lik abraham
(7)They were not selfish

UNEXPECTED CELEBRATIONS

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Jesus fed the multitude that came to Him, the Passover was near. The Passover was a known feast that every Jew knew about and expected; the Passover was an appointed feast. Everyone knew when the celebration of Passover would happen; everyone knew when it would begin and end.

The multitude came to Jesus, and He gave them a feast that came before the appointed feast of Passover. Jesus gave them a celebration before the appointed celebration they were expecting. Jesus brought a feast for the multitude ahead of the Passover feast they were expecting.

Friend, God says, before your ‘Passover’, you shall have a feast you did not ask for. Before the appointed celebrations you are aware of, God will spring a pleasant surprise that will cause you to celebrate; before the time of your promotion, God will grant you big favours that will attract celebrations; before the expected celebrations, you shall have unexpected celebrations.

God is in the business of bringing consistent celebrations. Some celebrations may be appointed ahead of time; but some will come without notice. Get set for unappointed celebrations; get set for financial increase that will come before your wages; get set for unexpected lifting that will come from God.

If all your celebrations are predictable and appointed celebrations, where then is the place of God’s grace and favour upon you? If Jehovah is truly involved, you may not expect it, you may not prepare for it, you may not even pray for it, but it will come as an unexpected celebration.

Prayer : Lord, bring me unexpected celebrations before my appointed celebrations, in Jesus’ name!Amen

FORGET THE CALCULATIONS

“Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.” (John 6: 7)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Jesus asked Philip where bread could be bought for the multitude, Philip replied that two hundred penny worth of bread won’t be enough. Philip made calculations on how to feed the multitude; for Philip, it was a matter of calculations.

Jesus eventually fed the multitude, but not by Philip’s calculation. Philip’s calculation was not needed to solve the problem; Philip’s calculation was needless, weightless and pointless; Philip’s calculation was at the level of mortality, but Jesus’ intervention was at the supernatural level of divinity.

Friend, are there calculations you have made concerning your challenges, and it seems your efforts won’t be enough? God says, forget the calculations; forget your calculations on how you will become great, get married, have children, survive austerity, complete your projects, break forth among competitors, etc.

Your calculations may make sense to you, but God doesn’t need them to make you who He wants you to be. You may not have enough money or connections to make things work, you may not have all you need, but forget your calculations- God has it all figured out.

The puzzles in your life don’t need calculations; they need Jehovah to get involved; God’s intervention is bigger than your calculations and imaginations; God’s intervention is higher than what your mortal mind can figure out.

Focus on God and forget the calculations. Your destiny is not by calculations.

Jeremiah 29 vs. 11 sums it up: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Prayer : Lord, I choose to depend on You and forget the calculations, in Jesus’ name!Amen

BEYOND CALCULATIONS

“Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them...” (John 6: 7)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Philip told Jesus that two hundred penny worth of bread won't suffice for the multitude. Philip made calculations for what Jesus should do for the multitude; Philip's calculations only factored in bread. By Philip’s calculation, the only thing that was expected in the menu was bread.

When Jesus intervened, He multiplied bread and fish. Jesus added fish which Philip didn't even calculate; He went beyond Philip’s calculation; He did something bigger than Philip’s calculation. He exceeded Philip's expectations. Philip’s calculation was not enough, but when Jesus stepped in, He did more than enough.

Friend, are there calculations you have made for yourself? Get set: God will go beyond your calculations to favour you; God will do more than you calculated for yourself; God will do more than your human mind can ever imagine; God will exceed your expectations, and give you more than you bargained for; God will bring the ‘fish’ that will spice up your ‘bread’.

The hungry multitude would have been grateful if all they got was bread, but Jesus came with an extra. God will bring an extra package to surprise you in your career, business, ministry, etc. If Jehovah is involved, you shall have both ‘bread’ and ‘fish’; you shall have a complete package.

Ask God to bring you the extra you did not bargain for; ask God for a complete package; ask God to exceed your expectations; ask God to go beyond your calculations to surprise you.

Ephesians 3 vs. 20 describes God as “...him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”.

Prayer : Lord, go beyond my calculations and bring me things I did not bargain for, in Jesus name!Amen
