Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.” (Luke 9: 31) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus, they spoke of His death which He should accomplish in Jerusalem. Jesus’ death was the end of His earthly mission as a mortal being; His decease was His end. So Moses and Elijah announced that Jesus would end in Jerusalem. ‘Jerusalem’ means ‘peace’; so Moses and Elijah affirmed that Jesus’ end would be in 'peace'. Friend, God says, your end shall be in peace. Your destiny shall end in peace; your marriage will end in peace; your battles and travails will end in peace; your struggles will end in peace; your efforts will end in peace; your journey to the next level will end in peace. Your race in destiny shall end in peace; your career, business, ministry, academics, health, finances, etc will end in peace. God says, everything about you will end in peace. The road to Jesus’ crucifixion was tortuous and laced with pain and shame, but it still happened in Jerusalem, the city of peace. When your path is tortuous and your journey is laden with pain and shame, God says, in the end, there shall be peace. Your marriage may look set to hit the rocks, your business may be on the brink of collapse, your life may seem to be on a downward slide, but if Jehovah is involved, it will end in peace. Peace comes from a Hebrew word ‘shalom’. One phrase that explains ‘shalom’ is ‘nothing missing, nothing broken’. God says, concerning your life, family, future, plans, projects, prospects, etc. there shall be nothing missing and nothing broken. Isaiah 32 vs. 18 sums it up: “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;” Prayer : Lord, everything concerning me shall end in peace, nothing missing and nothing broken, in Jesus’ name!Amen Enjoy A Super Sunday |

YOUR PAST WILL WORK FOR YOU “...there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:” (Luke 9: 30) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Jesus was transfigured, Moses and Elijah appeared to Him. Moses and Elijah lived on earth before Jesus was born into mortality; they belonged to His past, and they spoke to Him about His death which would be accomplished in Jerusalem; they spoke about His future. They came from Jesus’ past and worked for His future. Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: something from your past will work for your future, and people from your past will work for your next level. God will use people you met in the past to do new things in your future; efforts you made in the past will work for your tomorrow; good deeds and favours you did in time past will come back to work for your future; elements of your past will work to move you forward. Moses and Elijah were from a past generation, but God sent them to work for Jesus’ future. God says, forgotten elements of your past will be platforms for divine remembrance. The efforts, applications, investments, proposals, relationships, etc you may have forgotten in your past will come back to work in your favour. When Jehovah is involved, forgotten aspects of your past become raw materials for higher levels and platforms for future accomplishments. God says, the ideas, visions, discussions, sacrificial seeds, prayers, fasting, etc of the past will come back to lift you higher in your tomorrow. Moses and Elijah were positive elements of a ‘today’ that later became Jesus’ yesterday. Fill your today with positives that will be a positive past in your tomorrow; your positive ‘today’ will be a positive ‘past’ that will work for you in your future. Prayer : Lord, cause my past to work for my future, in Jesus name, Amen Enjoy A Restful Saturday. |
Goodmrn to every one on the thread ,may God bless us all in jesus name |
GO FOR GOD'S WORD “...there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:” (Luke 9: 30) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Jesus was transfigured, Moses and Elijah appeared to Him. The first five books of the bible are called the books of Moses. Moses was symbolic of God’s word. So before Jesus fulfilled His mission on earth, He needed ‘God’s word’. God’s word showed up before Jesus transited to a new phase. Friend, God’s word will prepare you for higher levels. The declaration of God’s word will enhance your progress; the speaking and confession of God’s word will open doors that are shut against you; God’s word will break the opposition against your future; God’s word is your bridge to the next level. When you declare God’s word, you have sent it on an errand, and it will come back with results. God’s word is spirit and life; the declaration of God's word transcends positive confession. Living by God’s word positions you for blessings; believing and confessing God’s word positions you for miracles. Your eloquence may fail sometimes; your connections, abilities and efforts may fail you; your well spoken words may fail you; anything may fail you, but God’s word will never fail. God’s word is like a fire, and like a hammer that breaks the rocks into pieces. God’s word brings light to dark situations; God’s word is quick and powerful, and is sharper than a double edged sword; God’s word shall stand forever. Hold on to God’s word in all your ways. The Word will open doors for you and set you on a high mountain; God’s word will give you greater results. Isaiah 55: 11 says: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it. Prayer : Lord, I will hold on to Your word; may Your word take me to higher levels, in Jesus’ name! Amen. Enjoy A Fabulous Friday. |

CHANGE FROM WITHIN “And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.” (Luke 9: 29) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. While Jesus prayed on the mountain, the fashion of His countenance was altered. His appearance was altered, changed, transformed, and reformed in the course of prayer; His personality was changed and transformed while he prayed; and in a matter of time, His garment became white and glistering. Jesus’ garments didn’t become white before He was transformed; He was transformed before His garments became white. His garment changed after His body changed. External change came after internal change. What caused Jesus' garment to become white and glittering came from within. Friend, if your garment must glitter, you must first be transformed. Your garment will glitter because of what God has done in you that manifests outwardly. Your greatness and future are both tied to divine deposits in you; your next level will come because of what God put in you that is good enough for a new level. People may or may not like you, your environment may not be conducive for you to dazzle; but God says, when you have it in you, and when He works in you, you will dazzle despite who or what is not in support of your dazzle. If you have God's greatness in you, you will shine despite the limitations. Like Joseph, you can dazzle everywhere, in ‘Potiphar’s house’, in ‘prison’, and in the ‘palace’. Nothing and no man can stop your greatness when it begins within you. The seed of greatness God planted in you can thrive even in the desert. Focus on your ‘transfiguration’, and your garment will dazzle in a matter of time. Psalm 92 vs. 13 sums it up: “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.” Prayer : Lord, transform me from within, and cause my garment to shine, in Jesus’ name! Amen . Enjoy A Splendid Thursday. |

PRAY ON, DON'T STOP “And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.” (Luke 9: 29) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, Jesus prayed until the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His garment became white. He prayed until something visible happened. He prayed until heaven responded. There may not have been an immediate response from heaven when He began praying, but He prayed until change happened. Friend, as the first half of 2015 ends, Jesus says, pray on, and don’t stop until your change happens. Pray until things turn around for good in your life; pray until you get that job; pray until you get married, conceive and have children; pray until you receive uncommon favours; pray until doors that are shut against you are opened; pray until your next level manifests. If you are yet to see the results of your prayers, and if you are yet to see God's glory in your life, keep praying and don’t stop; if you are yet to hit your target, reach your destinations or achieve what you want to achieve, don’t stop praying; if you are stuck in struggles that have kept you at a spot, keep praying. If you have not got results yet, don’t stop praying. If you stop praying, lose focus, get discouraged, etc because your prayers are not yet answered, you may end up empty handed, and you are making the devil happy. Unanswered prayers are no excuses to stop praying. Elijah prayed and there was no rain; his prayers altered the course of nature in his territory. Jesus prayed until He was transfigured. If you keep praying, your prayers will be answered, your glory will manifest, your victory will become a reality, and your level will change. James 5 vs. 16 sums it up: “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Prayer : Lord, I choose to pray on; I won’t stop praying, in Jesus name! Amen Enjoy A Splendid Tuesday. |
