naijaismyown: Good morning. Please I requested for a reference letter from first bank to contain average balance over the past 6 months as well as closing balance, but they said all I can get is the letter stating when it was opened without the average balance nor closing balance. They say that that’s what they giving me the statement for.
Please I would like to know if there’s anything I can do or if the big of them would suffice.
Would really appreciate responses. Thanks First bank gives reference letters in CIC format. Just try ginger .For me, I simply took my brother's own to the bank to show them it's possible. Shekinah. Case closed. |

Newmum0615: Good morning our lawyers,
I need info for someone. She has LLB and LLM in Oil & Gas Law. The LLM is from a foreign school. Can she use WES to evaluate just her Masters to save time, considering the strike and how it will affect her getting OAU transcript for her LLB? She is currently not practicing law but works in a Bank as a loan review officer and would like to start the evaluation as soon as possible. Or must it be IQAS for any type of law degree? She can evaluate her LL.M only with WES. It is not a must to use IQAS |

Please o Your LL.B certificate is sufficient as it has same ranking with masters degree. Please don't evaluate your B.L . Do your ECA with IQAS using LL.B certificate. IQAS recognizes our certificate as a first professional university degree in law while WES is a bit blurry in their own recognition hence Lawyers in this forum go for the clearer one to avoid stories that touch. However, you will still evaluate your credentials with WES should you choose to work with your certificates when you eventually migrate to Canada but then, as one would say, first things first. When we get to that bridge , we go cross am Please start from page 0 and read up to familiarise yourself adequately Shalom P.S what's your CRS score with your IELTS result |

yemdogg: Boss, Study Permit is a TRV. Tick yes. Very very important. Study Permit is in the category of Temporary Resident Visa. Be properly guided. A study permit is not a TRV. These are two different documents . Basically, you need a Study permit in order to study in Canada while TRV in order to be admitted in Canada and Yes, they belong under the Temporary Residence category. Not everyone requires a TRV. Citizens of visa-exempt countries do not require a TRV to travel to Canada as a temporary resident (visitor, student, or temporary worker). Now what usually happens is this, When you apply for an initial study permit, you do not need to apply separately for a TRV. If your study permit is approved and a TRV is required, you will be issued a TRV along with your study permit. See the below links http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/index.asphttps://students.ubc.ca/international-student-guide/immigration/temporary-resident-visa-trvShalom |

Naturalized: I am not sure of the case you are responding to but in your case you should have answered yes to b0th questions since the Canadian visa issued you when applying to study is a TRV, and Study/work permit is only given at the POE. I'm not trying to imply anything regarding your application, just pointing out something that might be useful for some other persons. I was not issued any TRV . I applied for study permit and application was denied. End of story . I can not in my case, start ticking YES to any trv i don't know about (GCMS note only mentioned study permit). Anyways, I've moved past this stage a 'lonnng' time . Was just trying to imply that because you have been denied visa in the past doesn't make you tick YES to both questions. Know the peculiarity of your case. Shalom. |

nkigirl: Hello all. Please for the ita application form, the statutory questions part... If you had a visa refusal in the past, do you answer yes to both questions? We answered yes to only one..the lower one. Now we are wondering if we should say yes to both. I'll use my case as an example. I applied for Canadian study permit some years back but was denied. So i answered thus below, 1. Has X been refused refugee status or an immigrant or permanent residence visa (including a certificate de selection du Quebec or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary residence visa, to Canada or any other Country ? NO2. has X been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country ? YESNote the operative word for me is PERMIT, hence my NO in No.1 . In conclusion, if your case fits the both scenarios, then it's a YES. |

ken2sure: I do not know my visa office yet. Just chilling for further updates. @ken2sure , kindly check if status of Additional Documents has changed to " We do not need any documents" . I know someone in similar situation. She received that letter 3days ago and review of documents changed to " we do not need any documents" . AOR in Oct 7 . If yours changes to that, then you're nearer to IP2 and PPR shortly after, in a matter of 2-4weeks according to commenters on canadavisa ( depending on the VO though) . All the best bro.. |

ken2sure: Good day house. So I got a mail in my cic account this evening(image attached) about how to get a job in canada. I'll like to know what this implies in relation to d application. AOR was Oct 10 while Med passed was NOV 6. Thanks. Do you know your VO yet ? Someone, a few pages back, propounded that LVO sends such letters as an 'intro' say your file de their hand . Oh well, I'd like to think that your file is being worked on, favourably if i might add. It'll definitely end in praise. |

Boss13: Hmmm - you are joking with fire here. Please attached your employment letter, your promotion letter (if you have), letter of confirmation, letter of redeployment (if any), commendation letter (if any), payslips, tax clearance certificate, pictures of you at work, pictures of you at the facade of your office and the office logo is conspicuously displayed, a copy of your staff ID card and then your reference letter.
The above is not up for debate. You are clearly informing the program assistant and the Visa Officer that you actually work in your Organisation. Even if you had worked in different organizations - the above should be used for your present work place. It will solidify your application that you are sincere. Also, if your company’s website isn’t working; please go and beg the MD to resuscitate the website (though with the above you can clear doubts). Also, try to see if your company is actually registered on CAC website.
What I have written above - not everyone did it and they were successful. However, nobody will tell your how emotional traumatic it is waiting because your eligibility is yet to be confirmed. To save that time, please get the above There's no joking with any fire here. Read the statement carefully..." Reference letter is mandatory". If you like include all these supporting docs and fail to include Reference letter. Na OYO for you . Having said that, seriously, we need to allay these fears of putting too much documents. I know our risk level differ as individuals but fellas, it's OK to put ONLY what was asked and nothing more... |

cochtrane: Letter of employment is a mandatory requirement. Or you could use an alternative as some have pointed out here. But you absolutely need to prove your years of experience. Yes, there are those who have attached those other supporting docs and got PPR. Letter of employment is not mandatory. What's mandatory is Reference letter. |
