ribegav:It seems you don't really know op. He is an old member here and very legit. And I have worked with him severally. You can also assume I am his friend or same person with him. You re free to do that. I have done several deals with him but yet to trade cards. I will do that asap and drop feedback. |

Twisted headlines. Ipobs and their penchant for stvpidity. |
A paid writer that is unsure whether to praise of curse Tinubu. Talking about confusion. |
post=100246752:As usual, truckload of rubbish without no sense. Who is stoping east from using cargo ships to access their lands? Is it not that the water is shallow? Is that not the major argument for dredging? Why do you guys want to dredge if you can use the water to access the sea? And you guys are the aggressor here against the international law covering the water. You are the one trying to dredge the water to the disadvantage of others. You are the ones trying to unbalance the biodiversity if the fresh water bodies cos of greed. But that is by the way, in reality, no one will allow u to do that. And even if you want to do it and kill all the Deltans, you won't still have the necessary resources to make it happen. |
post=100246558:Covered with international laws is not the same "international trading route" you wanted to be wise by half. The law you are talking about is to protect the water from misuse by some people (which your people are trying very hard to do) to the disadvantage of others. I have come to know that ipob people have no logics. What they have is emotional sentiments and at best, half truths. |
Parachoko:Yes it will have effects. |
Parachoko:You are right and he is wrong. Modify your post |
Parachoko:Abi... Kogi sef can decide to dam both at their side. Let's see who mad pass ![]() |
Nigeriabiafra82:How did I lose the argument? Are you the judge? So far I have being bringing facts and logical point here and what you guys have being saying is coming from an emotional and biased point of view (I understand tho. The emotional attachment to ones tribe). But outside that, fact is fact no matter the amount of emotions put in play to change it. Rail transport = You have a point. There is nothing stopping fg in doing that. Enugu airport = I think they are working on it. And as for now, only Lagos is much more effective, even more effective than Abuja (you will have to agree with me on that). Seaport in East = You and I know it is not feasible as it is not economical. Assuming east have a coastline, there won't be any tangible excuse for fg to seclude you. It is just like a settlement based on rocky terrain fighting for good road network (Idanre in still at disadvantage on that till date in SW). Bridges in East = Buhari is working to provide second Niger bridge which may be delivered before he ends his tenure. I hope you are clear? You guys should put sentiments aside and fight for those things that are reasonable to get. Govt is a business not a charity organization that distribute redundant projects with no economical values. |
Nigeriabiafra82:This is what you guys should have said. This is feasible. Rivers and Akwa Ibom can handle that effectively. Just a few upgrade here and there and you have fully operational ports. |
Gbagura:Apart from world powers stuffs. I want to stay on verifiable evidences. I don't think the world powers have interest in river Niger as it is not a local trading route not to talk of international. But the fact that the dream is a fake one provided they will need to dredge SS which those states will never allow. And the cost of dredging, the whole five eastern states pulled together can't raise a liquidified $5bn not to talk of tens of billions of dollars for something unsure to carter for their 5 states alone. |
kettykin:And any of those states mentioned cried to east to help them dredge the Niger? Everyone knows it is a pipe dream, only the east is hooked up on such things. Nigeria have enough ports to carter for her needs. Upgrading of SS deep seaports is more feasible than sinking billions of dollars in shallow waters with limited volume of waters. |
Nigeriabiafra82:Don't be sentimental. I called it wishful thinking cos no one will ever put in his money for such projects. What is the economic importance? Suez is connected to sea at both end... Whatever dredging happens will be filled up with sea water at both ends to balance the sea level without any biodiversity effects (as the canal itself is filled with sea water). Same can't be said of River Niger that is fresh water with limited volume coming from the source. Moreover, the Deltans will never allow u to fload their lands with sea water cos of your selfish dreams even if at all u re ready to dredge the Deltans lands as well. |
Nigeriabiafra82:I addressed the bolded in one of my posts here. That means sea waters will find its way to the Deltans displacing the fresh water and unbalancing the bio diversity therein. Also, forgetting that most communities in the riverine areas depend on the fresh waters for survival. You are ready to destroy the whole Deltans because of your wishful thinking. That apart, even if sea water displaces the fresh water in Deltans, ships can't still sail through it to Onitsha. Those areas will need to be dredged as well, and I am sure you don't have such money even if those SS allows you. |
Igbochief001:Login ur other moniker to reply my last post if u can engage it with facts. I know it is your alternate. You have your signature written all over it. |
Ogbuu101:You ended up sounding stvpid. I made a rational post about how it can never be possible but you only throw insults instead of countering the post intelligently. Well you can't give what you don't have! Back to the post, there are things impossible, as you can't regain a lost second in time. It is a fallacy used to encourage people not that it is true. Also Suez canal or whatever serves economical importance to several continents. Of what use is dredging of River Niger to Nigeria when there are several feasible ports to be upgrade for lesser costs? Expanding Suez canal will cost additional $9bn (which is not the amount for the initial dredging). How do you expect the Nigeria govt to sink such amount of money on wild elephant chase when they can just upgrade the deep seaports in SS area with less than a quarter of $9bn? I can bet my balls even Igbo businessmen will not want to invest a kobo on such projects that is not feasible. Authority: It is not about having port, it is about the economic importance of having it. Next time, engage your brain before quoting me cos I will flaw you with logics and commonsense. |
tishbite41:Ignorance! Say what you know. It seems to me you re the illiterate here. River Niger passed through Edo North (Agenebode) Etsako East Local Govt. The river is the border that separates Edo and Kogi at the northern part. |
YoungBlackRico:They have both in abundance. Greed to take over others people's possessions and lands. And intentional ignorance inorder to make empty chest beatings. |
Christistruth00:Which means north have more access to sea when compared to east ![]() |
All I am seeing here is just some people's greed and ignorance. Greed because they don't care whatever happens to the riverine areas of the Niger Deltans. Later they will be doing attaché by force using SS/SE. Ignorance because they don't know water always finds its level. Dredging the River Niger is a big deal. Except the volume of water getting to the Onitsha part can be increased at the source (wherever the rivers flows from). 1. Dredging doesn't mean increase in water volume, you are only increasing the container to hold the water available. In which case, dredging the River amounts to expanding a bucket of water to take the shape of a tank without increasing the volume of the water. Dredging the base of the river will only make the banks of such rivers go down (no additional increment of water). 2. If you still go ahead to dredge thinking the water will fill up the hole (damming) which will means increasing the content of the bucket to fill up the shape of tank expanded to... U will be starving the people at the lower side of Niger waters (selfishness). Which none of those communities will never agree to. 3. If you go ahead and dredge it against the shout and cries of the Deltans. There will be scarcity of water to allow a cargo ship sail through the deltas in order to make its way to the dredged Onitsha part of the river. Except you have enough money to also dredge your passage through the Deltan areas. 4. If you have the money to dredge your passage through the Deltans. Then, for the water to meet sea levels, sea water will have to mix up with the Deltans fresh water. I am sure you know the amount of havoc salinity of sea water will do to the Deltans fresh waters and whatever is living inside it. No matter how u look at it, dredging east small rivers is a fool's errand. It is a pipe dream that can never be achieved. |
Buhari should first fight his Fulani herdsmen. Then everyone will see that he is serious. |
danielous:O boi, that wife is wicked o. Now, that man won't be able to leave because of his investment. This is why it is good to know your wife's movement and who she talks to. But some men will argue against it. Look out for yourself first ahead of everyone, whether friends, wife or family members. At the end, nobody but you can take care of yourself. |
supercase1:Lol... Aboki why the fears? Decentralised police is good. It is the right step in the right direction towards state police. |
gidgiddy:First time I will have to agree with you. By the way, tell your goons to stop obsessing about Yorubaland and our leaders. Ire o |
Another Tinubu thread. These children of hate across the Niger will soon die on this man matter. He is responsible for their bad governance. ![]() |
Thread created by ipob yoots to spite Yoruba that always being haunting their dreams. The north and west are doing well on their parts and doesn't need any dic*k measuring like some sections of the country that can't validate itself except when compared to another. Low self esteemed lots. |
Pigs grunting on the affairs of the westerners ![]() They wish our lands is as divided as theirs. I have Muslims friends and families.... Even traditionalists, but we all coexist without posing threats to one another. If all tribes are like Yoruba, there won't be any civil unrest in this country. That is the fact. |
Oh ye wailers. Food don land. Those from eroded lands will soon fly in ![]() |
Some people will be in severe pains by now. Wailing no be better career. ![]() |
rottennaija:Yes, it was a commendable move. I am sure Tinubu and oshiomole were carried along. That accounts for calm in their camp. The foo'lish govs and their giadom lost out in the NEC they called ![]() |
Yobabad:I heard Tinubu is tormenting you and your village kings in your dreams. Sorry eh. But he will still rule over you lots. ![]() |
