Well said about the species but their are black mambas in Nigeria. They have a scanty distribution pattern however in the north Eastern part of Nigeria.

It must be a recent introduction.

All information on the black mambas restrict it to Southern Africa. Only the Green mambas have been found in Western Africa including Nigeria.
