Some people say they are staying in the UK and saying what will happen in Nigeria; not possible.
Everything is possible dear, never limit urself but broaden your horizon. I can understand your emotions about the prospect of a female president for Nigeria but u have to ask urself why Nigeria sent for a person living in far away America and bestowed on her the mammoth responsibilities of Finance Minister(Chancellor of the Exchequer) not once but twice.

Surely the next time she should be promoted since we find her competent, otherwise we start to look like a nation of sexist that oppress women, even wen they are up to the challenge and will perform better than male counterparts. It is time for Nigerians to embrace their destiny and somebody needs to demonstrate the act of good governance.

haha. this has nothing to do with tribalism. haba my sister

you did not even talk of ngige, soludo, fashola or as things are going now rochas you are talking of Ngozi.lol

fashola has changed the face of lagos and i am a living witness to this.

rochas just started and frankly i have not see anything from him except from he gave some people money

soludo is not bad but we have a better candidate if soludo is picked and he is sanusi

Ngige is another great Nigerian. For the mere fact that he is one of the few detribalised igbos I have seen in the political affires of the country, I would give him thumbs up for that.
There is a single factor that looms in Nigeria Politics and dat is corruption. Successive government have all been corrupt and it is my opinion that picking a candidate that comes from a disciplined background with a reputation to maintain domestically and internationally would go a long way to remedy that problem.

I can't help but wonder wat Nigeria would look like in just a tenure of government that is corruption free. I can't help but wonder wat Nigeria would look like in just one tenure of ehanced fiscal governance and monetary management. I can't help but wonder wat type of education facilities and child provisions would be made available for the future generation.

Let us try change for the better of our nation and for lasting peace.

you are drunk

go sleep and wake up again. it is like you slept on the wrong side of the bed wink
ROFLMAO! Why? Is it becos of my foresight and ability to know the best for our future generation. Don't u want economic success for Nigeria and less fighting like we see almost on a dailly bases in Nigeria? Don't u want our currency to return to its former glory in the early 1970s and late 60s?

Don't u want better fiscal and monetary policy and infrastructures? Don't u want foreign inward investment and competitive development of our infant industries? Please let us observe change becos that is the only formular dependable in life and see.

Let us move away from the path of war and tribalism to a path of success.

Well, that is the challenge that has been set for them to overcome. Poverty is not the problem but the inability for Nigerian to apply wisdom and think creatively with the mind dat i know they have, to get something good for themselves and their children. Nigerians should rise to the challenge and prepare themselves for change. They should place the welfare of themselves and future generations yet unborn over sentiments and tribal mirage.

Lets face it, all the president we have voted for out of sentiment, did not achieve nothing for Tribe but themselves and cronies, dat ain't even from the same tribe as them. So the only people that are tribal seems not to be the elite but the common man, misconception or miss-education. It is time we also looked after our welfare and the welfare of our children's and generations unborn instead of tribes.

Nigerians need to realize dat they are at a special place in their history and really need to start making wise decision on who they place the mantle of leadership. Good leadership is never about tribe/ ethnicity nor personal wealth. It is about character and experience.

We see candidate with character and experience come to the lime light but turn our backs on them over superficial and ancient beliefs. We as Nigerians need to understand that the only formula constant is change and until we apply that formula, we remain backward and failures. We migrate to distant land were we really are not wanted and many lose their life in various unthinkable ways in the search for greener pastures.

Let me affirm that their are no land on earth with greener pastures than our Nigeria and we as Nigerians need to start considering our future in a way we have never done before to attain our true potentials. History is ours for the making and it is time we in Nigeria had our Obama moment in our life time.

2015 lets vote Ngozi Iweala Okonjo as our President. The first female President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Dat is not a church but business. I have long said it. May God anger visit all the people that have turned his house into a market place. Yorubas are the most astute business people and Igbo's their patrons.

Onlytruth:
I would also advise my Igbo brothers and sisters to spend their time reflecting and changing their mindset in preparation for a next time.
Nigeria is always full of drama. There will be a next time, and current political events point to a soon encore.
Instead of wasting our time here, we could spend that time (individually) looking inwards and asking ourselves for instance how and why we let thousands of Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba leave Eastern Nigeria unharmed when they were busy murdering everyone of us in their enclaves.

The stoooopidity of that act has given me many sleepless nights. And I fear we may repeat that stooopidity again.
Onlytruth to be honest, the ignorance of our men sometimes puzzles me. Maybe they just underestimate the kind of people they are dealing with or overestimate their positions and abilities. The type of mistake they make even an illiterate won't reason like that.

Yes the problem is over education and thinking their excellent command of the English language or swagger makes them invisible or exempt them from the envy of their adversary. Something need to be done about their miss-education. They need to understand that, these are not human beings but savages that they are dealing with here. An eye for an eye is the norm and we don't need to forgive or forget anything. Payback is overdue, so lets get busy and plan them.

Eh! Na total war be that because we no go agree. Let God punish them with that Igbo Army Chief  in position.

The onslaught will make second world war look like child's play. In the case of the Hausa, it will be a return to the good old dayz of poverty if there are any left from our onslaught. They won't use our seaport or come anywhere near our borders without drawing fire to themselves.

Famine and Poverty will finish them after we impose a total blockade on them in the desert North.

As long as they are not claiming PH, it shall be of no concern for the Ndigbo. Let them seek their frustration West of the River Niger.
Port Harcourt is on Igboland and they know dat, but we have to understand that it is also a city. We need various ethnic groups contributing various talent for the success of the city. The Ijaw amongst many can share port harcourt with us as home.

The Ijaws are not a Problem to Ndiigbo. They have never been a Problem to Ndiigbo. So let us leave them to their devices as they have left us to ours. In terms of mutual interest we deal and their after everybody to your devices.
It is better to go by accomplishments of past to judge the potentials for future. If in 2002 fracas Ijaw backpedaled in the face of heat, what makes anyone now think they will not repeat a retreat if a firestorm breaks out?  The 2002 bloodshed was so rapid and effective even Igbos fled home; and they were not even the direct target but what they witnessed was too powerful for their "megaphone bravery" to withstand, they abandoned everything and took off.

That's action, not all this mouth!
In simple terms, the mighty Igbo empire runs from no entity. angry
