bashr8:. Bashr8 it is your father and hopeless mother that came from a Gorilla. You can never stand toe to toe with an Igbo man without wrangling your way around things like Yorubas do. I don't give a Bleep if you love or hate Igbos. We don't go around begging food from your likes like Awolowo planned. God punish all of u a million times. I spit on all your faces. BASTARDS. |
Igbos and Yorubas? Well they seem to have the greatest rivalry. The British colonialists described the Hausa/Fulani as similar to the Arabs, the Yorubas as the English men of Africa and the Igbos as the Jews of Africa. That hatred would always be there. No amount of "Intergration" can obscure that. We are too different. |
Dauchman:Why the Yorubas no go talk? You are the real parasites. You take too much and give to little. Yorubas are in charge of the press, banks, oil companies and the labour unions. We Igbos have only ourselves to fend for. When Awolowo was released from Calabar prison by Ojukwu in 1967 Awo promised to declare oduduwa republic. He never did. What he did was to recommend an economic blocade that caused hundreds of thousands of children in the present day SE & SS to die. After the war as minister of finance this same Awo gave each man (irrespective of millions one may have) 20 pounds each. Yorubas are the real tribalists. For a region your wicked Awolowo gave a paltry 20 pounds we should be the ones carrying bowls begging u guys food. But you people will wait forever for that to happen. Mtcheeoooooow! Ndi Apari! |
Gmilad:. @ Gmilad He will be so honoured that you will die of shame. Your pathological hatred for other tribes be they Igbos or minorities is a clear reason why this Country is a mere geographic expression. Thank God we don't beg for food from your likes we work for it. We shall sit at home like there is no tomorrow. ![]() |
dagboss:Dagboss it is Uwazurike and not "Nwazurike". . This event is more important than the Awolowo inspired economic blocade that left hundreds of thousands of BIAFRAN kids dead and the 20 pounds/per head post- war policy. The leopard doesn't change his spots. We have not forgotten you Yorubas who take so much and give too little. |
I will rather observe the sit at home order by MASSOB than listen to the ranting of my enemies. If Isaac Boro, Ken Saro Wiwa, Tafawa Balewa and the in-glorious Awolowo can be venerated by their people why should I not extend same to the man who saw the trap called NIGERIA? Ndi Obi Akor! Mtscheeeeeeeeeeeooow. ![]() |
Olodostein:The people of the South South by now I think should know who their true foes are. To many Weterners and Northerners in this "NAIRALAND" the killing of people by Boho Haram is okay as long as it is Igbo or South/ South is okay. As for me I can only be true to my Igbo nature. No apologies for that. |
![]() emmatok:IGBOPHOBIA! That is what I call the sickness in this Country. We are murdered and have our property and businesses taken away and the PARASITES of this nation blame us for staying. Now they blame us again for not playing an active role on street protests. Who protested against the 20 pounds Awolowo used to improverish Igbos in 1970? Who protested against the blocade that wiped out hundreds of thousands of Igbo kids (no thanks to Awolowo)? Who protested against the genocide that occured in the North just recently? If the Yorubas were a separate nation where would they channel their protests on subsidy if not Cocoa? When Niger Deltans were agitating for resource control they were told to keep quiet. I don't need the west nor the north to dictate to me or my people on how to pursue our destiny as if they are ones who make the most sacrifice. Some of my relatives were murdered in the North and here you are asking me to show solidarity without recourse to condolence. We have nothing in common except being glued together as Nigeria. The Nigerian State and its people should purge themselves of IGBOPHOBIA. |
![]() M16:M16 if the Oil, seaports and small scale businesses that drive your economy were not accessible (no thanks to Nigeria) you wouldn't have a life. |
![]() DECOtech:Dagboss I will rather protest against the killing and looting of IGBO lives and property than join in the subsidy protests. I am happy you recognise the fact the removal affects others first before Igbos. We are mostly in the private sector. Your fore fathers did not protest against the Nigerian State for short changing our people, giving them 20 pounds per head back in 1970 (no thanks to Awolowo). If this oil was found in Lagos, Ekiti and other Ofe mmanu areas you Yorubas would have severed your relationship from this Country long ago, of course you have the sea port and access to Benin republic which makes your people fortunate. If we can survive the killings of our IGBO people since 1920s (and the civil war) we can survive any other challenge. I support resource contol whever it is found. You may remove the subsidy on Cocoa or Amala I would not object. |
KenGali:Alj Haram or is it Harem you are already playing the ethnic card in the removal of fuel subsidy. Did you blame the people of the South East and South South when Obasanjo, Shonekan, Abacha and IBB when their regimes witnessed fuel increase? If this is your sorry excuse for killing of Igbos and other southerners then I will rather demonstate against that than on the fuel subsidy removal. You said that we live in the best places in other parts of the Country but after the loss of millions of live btw (1966-1970) the people of the East were given 20 pounds per head to start life and yet the North is riddled in poverty and disease. I suggest you remove the subsidy on groundnut and beef before you accuse others of resource control. We know who the bread winners are in this Union called Naija. Enuff can never be said. |
![]() rhymz:My brother never mind them. When similar protests happened under OBJ, Abacha & Babangida regimes why didn't the HATERS accuse IGBOS of tribalism? Its because we IGBOS are far less reliant on Government (being republican in nature) that is why we are always put on the front burner by the people whom we are forcefully joined together. If it were the Yorubas of Hausas that had the Oil we for no hear word. The killing, looting, raping and maiming of our kinsmen continues while everybody looks the other way. Of course it is the parasites of this Country that shout the loudest having giving too little and taken too much. |
It is diappointing that calumnious assertions can be made by faceless enemies of Ututu via the internet, thereby misinforming people who don't even know anything about the place. Some people in this forum alledged that Ututu people are cannibals, have no Schools, electricity or churches. When Ututu was mentioned in this forum as a village in Abia State and reference made to villages in Akwa Ibom State without mentioning the said villages can only tell you the target of the conspirator who goes by the name Hanson. This faceless hanson goes further to taunt Ututu in his second post by saying "Is there no one in this forum that comes from this area"? It does not help any intellectual discourse in a forum of this nature for others to speculate hypothetically that the topic initiator Hanson has made a valid point by being the first person to make this comment. Ututu has produced many men and women that have excelled in Commerce, Religion, Politics and other areas at home and abroad. All the talk about cannibalism or lacking in civilization causes me to suspect that HANSON is either a member of a neighbouring community or has a feud between an indigene of Ututu hence decides to use a cheap ploy on the informed and guillible commentators on this forum. Rejoinders are welcome. |
