Video: Asked about poor economic performance, Buhari says ‘return to farm’ The president says "all I know is that we have to allow people have access to the farm. We just have to go back to the land." Buhari's Channels TV Interview QUESTION. Channels Seun: When you took over in 2015, our debt stock at the time was about 12 trillion, now it's about 32 trillion. Inflation rate was about 9%, it's now sitting at about 15%, unemployment rate was about 9.2%, it's now at about 32.2%, exchange was about 197 to a dollar, now it's way over 400 naira to a dollar. Now people would look back and say before you took over some of these indicators are fair, and now the figures are not friendly at all. ANSWER: Buhari : Well, I am not sure how correct your calculations are, but all I know is that we have to allow people have access to the farm. We just have to go back to the land. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mJfWuyoytY |
Five Wrongfully dismissed Police Officers send SOS to Senator Bassey Albert By Osondu Ahirika Five wrongfully dismissed Police Officers have sent a petition to the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan to intervene on their behalf and ensure they obtain justice from the Nigeria Police. The five officers are Sunday Okon, Anthony Ebong, Joseph Edem, Victor Ebe and Uduak Sampson with Force Nos. 403284, 400058, 412050, 410355 and 029629 respectively who were recruited into the Nigeria Police as specialists in 2003 after undergoing police training and found worthy both in character, physical fitness and education and were posted to Akwa lbom State Command where they diligently discharged their duties without issue. The five officers told newsmen they were however, by a police wireiess message dated 1 January 2007 disengaged from the service on the ground that they are illiterates, which they refuted by writing various letters to the Inspector-General of Police, the Chairman Police Service Commission and the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, zone 6, Calabar praying to be reinstated to no avail. In a copy of the petition to Senator Albert which was seen by newsmen, the officers resorted to the industrial Court when nothing was done in response to their appeal to be reinstated, instituting a case against the Force and the Police Service Commission with Suit No. NICN/UY/08/2018, praying the Court for orders of reinstatement and payment of arrears of their salaries and allowances. In her verdict delivered on 21 November, 2019, the Honourable Court declared the purported disengagement of the five Officers from the Force null and void and ordered that they be reinstated into the ranks they would have been but for their disengagement and that all arrears of their salaries and allowances be paid to them. Video: Police Arrest Four Abuja "Rogue Officers" In Viral Extortion Video The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, on Wednesday, says the officers who were involved in extortion while on duty in Abuja have been taken into custody. A trending video had captured the officers extorting money from a commuter at Area 11, Abuja. In the video, the victim had withdrawn some money from a GT Bank ATM located within the area and was seen handing the cash to some police officers waiting by a police van parked across the street. The trending video has attracted the attention of the police authorities. The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Sunday Babaji, in a statement issued on Wednesday by the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, ordered an investigation into the matter. The statement urged residents who know the victim of the alleged extortion to reach out to the authority, particularly the office of the Police Public Relations Officer of the command for investigations. The statement read, “The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Sunday Babaji, has ordered the immediate arrest and investigation of police officers in the viral extortion video. The officers who were on traffic duty along Area 11, where a young man whose identity has yet to be identified, was intercepted and extorted, have been taken into custody and are currently under investigation to unravel facts surrounding the situation.” Babaji described the attitude of the officers as ‘a discreditable conduct, an act unbecoming of police officers,’ and noted that disciplinary action would be taken against the erring officers. “The Command wishes to call on anyone who has a way of reaching out to the young man in the video to avail the command with his contact details or to relay a message of invitation to the Public Relations Officer of the Command. “The CP, while reinstating the assurance of the Command’s unflinching commitment towards service in line with standard best practices, wishes to remind residents of the availability of the Public Complaints Bureau line: 0902 222 2352, a number specially created for members of the public to report any unprofessional conduct of police officers while discharging their duties," the statement added. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWXzhY34i2I Please, subscribe to help me grow, thanks.

SHOCKING: Man stops daughter's wedding over son-in-law's N70k bride price debt in Akwa Ibom A young lady In Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State (name withheld by me) whose pre-wedding pictures had trended on social media, slumped this evening on the day of her traditional marriage as her biological father canceled the TM in a broad daylight. As early as 4pm, family members and friends of the bride and her husband to-be, who came from far and near, had thronged the Government Primary School, venue of the traditional marriage, which is a stone's throw from the State Police Command's Headquarters. Live band was performing, entertaining guests while waiting for the commencement of the traditional rites. But to the surprise of everyone, the bride's father walked into the arena and insisted that the traditional marriage would not hold because his son in-law's was owing him N70,000 bride price balance. On hearing of her dad's action, the bride collapsed with her friends battling to revive her and the traditional marriage ended in a fiasco.
