Mama twins sorry about what you're going through. I also expereienced this with one of my twins around that age too. After trying all sorts like you did, my last resort was to get abidec. I was giving it to only the twin rejecting food and that helped him to eat whatever comes his way,no selection. That was what i did at that time when i was about resuming and it helped.
Thanks my fellow twin mama I tried the syringe method yesterday and it was better however I think I should worry less cos when I checked their weight today at 12 weeks she weighed 5.5kg while her twin weighed 6kg meaning she is still adding weight even without food I just fear what will happen in crèche. Thanks to everybody that contributed

Get a syringe, the biggest size and feed her with it. Also please give her B-complex to boost her appetite. She probably may not be hungry that's why she is not eating. Pele. Being mama ibeji eez not an easy something grin
Thanks dear,

But I know she is hungry o infact it was worse on Saturday that she was vomiting yellow bitter substance and yet she didn't want to eat.

Mama twins, sorry dear...Try expressing and feed her with the bottle. You will need to do a lot of experiment o..Try different bottles; avent, tommee tippee, dr.brown... If she refuses all, try spoon. If spoon does not work, try syringe. Also, you will need to try another milk; probably she does not like the one she's taking now. DO NOT FORCE FEED.

I had same dilemma when I was going to resume work too, my daughter refused formula. I bought different bottles try, changed milk...finally we ended up giving her lactogen with syringe till she turned 4 months and I started supplementing with Heinz cereals.
Thanks so much ma'am she takes breast milk but it's not enough for her cos they are two. I've tried Sma gold and lactogen (those are the one I can afford) but it's still same story. I've used Tommy tippee and a nameless bottle no changes, the only thing I've not tried here is syringe feeding.

hunniesuzie:
Have you tried expressing? Please do not force feed her. What you can try though is to let someone apart from you offer her when you're not in the room (MIL isn't an option since force feeding has occured to her, maybe your DH), otherwise express BM for her to take when you're not there
She takes breast milk well but it's not enough, DH, SIL and different people have tried feeding and atimes we are so lucky she might just take very little. Now DH is joining Mil to say we should force-feed. I'll keep trying thanks ma'am.

Please my 11 weeks old daughter just won't take formulae she wants only breast milk, I was advised here to get other types and which I did but after first trial she won't take it again.
I'm so bothered right now cos I'm resuming work next week Monday. Been having issues with mil cos she wants us to force-feed her which I feel the baby might get used to and in turn cause problem when they start crèche.
Her twin bro takes between 75-100 mls which my daughter struggles with 25mls. Please what can I do about this

Congrats Giddyperson. Wishing u a healthy n happy preggy journey. Hope giddybaby is good now. Weldone
Anugod n spiceeamiee I feel u mamas. The after CS pain no be small tin. I thought the pain wld never end. If not that my first was a vaginal birth, maybe I wldnt want more babies sef. In fact, I said it after my CS that thank God we have two kids already ; a boy n a girl so any which way i'm good if we decide to hang booth o grin Thank God the whole ordeal is a distant memory now sha.....n i'm open to the "another serving, please?" option wink but we'r taking a long sabbatical for now. My baby is almost 8mths old. I wonder why ppl used to say CS is the easier way out. The after surgery pain can put the fear of God in somborri
I thought I was the only one who felt like this, the pain is out of this world though it's a life saver for both mother and child, your last sentence is so on point.

na so I see am. Well I've just gotten two period. Hopefully the next one will be after 28 days or more.

Good thing is no MP for the first time in my life, and the flow is 2 days, very light too.
Mine lasted for 5 days only that it came after I had the family planning procedure so I felt it's one of the side effects. Also came without pain too, hopefully will go back to 28 days except you are on FP.

It's usually the same. 6, 10, 14. Also I suggest you take it where you are cos the 4 week interval is important, otherwise you take it next week and push the 14 week forward by 1 week if you're not comfortable with the health centres where you are
debby516:
I think there must be a gap of 4 weeks each for the 3 PENTA vaccines at 6, 10 and 14 weeks. While you can take the 10 weeks vaccine schedule at 11 weeks, i advise that you take the 14 weeks followup vaccine at 15 weeks.
Thanks mamas we have taken it will go for the rota next week.
