My aunt uses royan for her kids and gave good reviews about them yesterday same with my colleague so I think they are ok.

Its preterm contraction and i see you are carrying multiples. Salbutamol is holding it in check and the drip form of it works faster and better than the tablet. We pray it finally subsides with or without the salbutamol drip so that you can be switched back to the tablets. It's well with you and your babies.

I started contracting at 23weeks and there's nothing the doctors did not try to stop it, it will only stop for a day or two after being given pain relief injection and it continues like that till 29weeks, I mean everyday that once it started I will be rolling and crying and today we are 34wks+ so I will say rest well, takes lots of water and erase fear. Wow, so you mean you still contract up till now and they could not do anything about it? Mine is not even painful at all just the hardening and it's quiet frequent. I know it will surely stop and I'll carry to term by his grace.

Sorry to bother you, the contration started few hours after the drip and I was ask to continue with salbutalmo tabs, now I'm back on drip and it has stopped again. Pls what could be responsible for this, I'm so tired.

I think its perfectly normal dear! They won't weigh same kg, also they are still growing and adding up daily......my singleton weighed 1.8 @33weeks so rest ur mind and eat well

Hello teamie, sorry about that. I experienced it too like two weeks ago, I first thought it was braxton hicks but it became really intense last week and fortunately it was my ANC. I complained and my Dr said it could be preterm labour, and asked why I managed it for a week and didn't come to the clinic. I told him it wasn't painful that's why I didn't bother. He examined me and said I should just rest well and stay hydrated. He said I should drink water always and stay off all forms of stress. I feel better now sha.

Thanks teamie, I'm relieved I'm not the only one experiencing this. I think it has stopped now self but I'm still on drip sha, I'll try stay off stress too and rest more.

Please enough bedrest, when they do scan be sure to let them know that they should check the cervix if it has begun to dilate.
I hope your hospital has the necessary facilities to handle a preterm birth.


Drink lots of water and avoid food that triggers contractions.

Good morning dear mamas,

I'm 28 weeks and my stomach has been tightening and releasing after a while for like 2 days now and I just concluded it must be Braxton Hicks but it became frequent yesterday night that I had to see a doc this morning.
Now doc is admitting me for preterm contraction, pls help me understand this o cos I don't know why I'm contracting st 28 weeks. Been taking Ventolin tablets along side my routine drugs for a while now.

I don't think avomine is ok o, I had severe morning sickness too and my doc warned me not to use it, I tried getting it from a pharmacy too and the pharmacist ask if I'm not pregnant before she will sell it for me, when I told her I was 7 weeks she told me it's not ok for me.
You can wait to hear from other mamas though but I'll say DO NOT USE avomine.

Can't remember the tablet my doc gave me again in place of it.

It's safe nne. Salbutamol is a tocolytic as well. That is it relaxes the uterus. It's used in cases of preterm contraction, to stop it. It's safe ok. Cheers

Hello ma'am, please I'll like to know if salbutamol tabs does same thing as Ventolin? My doc placed me on Ventolin tab 3x daily since 24 weeks and didn't tell me when I'll stop it.

I've often wondered how the kicks feel like since you're carrying two babies..how do they feel?

My teamie how body? Sure you are feeling very ok now, thank God for keeping you.

My babies no too dey kick o except when I lie down to sleep then they start punching me, infact I rely on scan and my growing tummy to know they are developing fine. Happy bumping to us.
