Food Experts, Organic Champions Charge Nigerians On Healthy Alternatives To Poisinous Diets


In the face of rising health challenges and death rates from food related illnesses, Nigerians have been advised to cultivate of a habit of Healthy Living by paying close, attention to the content and composition of what they eat and drink.

The theme of the exibition was our food our medicine is to draw attention to the dangers, inherent in chemically processed food and to challenge both government and the people to pay close attention to what food and drinks they consume.
Lady Green who expressed a great concern over the way Nigerians eat, was particularly disturbed by the choices we make of chemically processed food over pro-biotic food supplies.

She argued that regular food such as chicken, yams, or even jollof or coconut rice, grilled fish and prawns can be organically grown and made into consumable food without being contaminated.

According to her: you are what you eat. You can start a small farm behind your house and ensure that you know the source of your food. If you are eating out, make sure you know the source and be satisfied that it is truly organic even from the farm. We do that and we cannot eat or sell inorganic food to people because we want them to remain healthy. We believe that food is medicine and if you are able to get it right in your guts, you will get it right with the rest of your body’

Lady Green who is the founder of QEI a health and wellness initiative also harped on the need to balance what what we eat with Organic foods and drinks. And reduce the over dependence on Chemically processed foods and drinks.

Candidate of New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP in Isiala Mbano Constituency in Imo State, Chief Louis Onyedeke Iwule has said if elected a member of the state House of Assembly, he will ensure effective representation of the people.

HRH Eze Damian Obianigwe Emerges Grand Patron First Amity United Friends Club

A traditional ruler, His Royal Highness Eze Amb. Damian E. Obianigwe has been inducted as the Grand Patron of First Amity United Friends Development Club of Abuja.

"Young people are tired. They want to build a world class nation they can call their own. We are doing it in the areas of ICT, entertainment and other critical sectors it's only in leadership that we are backward. It won't be business as usual."

According to Dr utchay Odims, youths have shown resilience to make the difference with their voting power and ability to vote for credible leaders who have what it takes to change the narratives for good.

He said, "THE NIGERIA YOUTH DECIDE"platform is non political and doesn't intend to be one in future. It is a platform to actively participate in choosing who becomes the PRESIDENT of the Federal Republic of NIGERIA, individuals who become GOVERNORS as well as the National and States ASSEMBLY members.

"Our vision is to positively influence the election for true leaders to emerge, the kind of leaders Nigeria have been waiting for all these years and mobilising the Nigerian youths across the States to participate fully in the electioneering process" he said.

According to Dr utchay, the discourse around politics should be moved away from social media to the street where the decision is made.

He insists that the people's lives and destinies will no longer be molested by power brokers who do not have much to offer the people, urging that all should stand up and be counted.

Participation is open to all youth leaders, youth advocates at home and in Diaspora to decide the future of the nation.

This event which is first of its kinds will have millions of participants from across the world both in-person and virtual.

23 years old Uniport Student Wins 2022 Miss Port Harcourt City Pageant.

Stephanie Nkechinyere Chukwuemeka who represented D-Line, Port Harcourt has won the 2022 Miss Port Harcourt City Beauty Pageant held on Sunday at Aztec Arcum Event center in Port Harcourt.

She beat other 18 contestants to emerge winner.

Stephanie is from Abia State, Born in 12th June, 1999. She is 300 level undergraduate student of the University of Port Harcourt, Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management.
