Built on the unprecedented success of its first edition, the Akwa-Ocha fashion show has again made a second debut. The second edition which took place on 4th December, 2021 at Sweet Spirit Hotel, Okpanam Road, Asaba in Delta State gathered eminent sons and daughters of Anioma nation, clothed with spectacular designs that were made strictly from Akwa-Ocha. The Akwa-Ocha Fashion Show is basically a programme aimed at rebranding, and preserving the cultural heritage of the people of Anioma by fostering creativity through the use of Akwaocha attire. The convener, Anthonia Oguah who described the cultural fashion show as a tourism stated that the fashion show is targeted towards creating global awareness, recognition and acceptance of the Akwa-Ocha in the international fashion industry for economic breakthrough. The event also showcased the best of Anioma personalities thereby encouraging unity and progress of the Anioma people worldwide. Chairman Of the occasion was , Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei a former speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and the current executive director maritime , labour and cabotage services at NIMASA, a patriot son of Anioma nation, and lover of the Akwa-Ocha, Other special guest of honour includes Chief Mrs Josephine Kachikwu the Ochiligwe of Onicha-Ugbo as the mother of the occasion, High Chief Mike Nwaukoni the Iyase of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom as Father of the day, Prof. Mrs Stella Chiemeke the V. C of Delta State University Agbor as the Keynote speaker for the Occasion, Barr. Eugene Uzum the Director-General of the Delta State Orientation Bureau, also, Chief Mrs Theodore Giwa-Amu the Omeifeoma of Ahaba as Grand Matron for the occasion, His Royal Majesty, Obi Kikachukwu Afamefune, Royal Father of the day. CG NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi Inspects Portharcourt Garment Factory Owned By JIMCO Global Concept Limited Few days ago, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni and his team paid an inspection visit to the multifunctional and world-class Garment Factory, designed also for the production and manufacturing of para-military garments. The inspection exercise was led by the CEO of Jimco Global Concept, Hon. Jim Okolo, alongside other members of Staff of the Factory. On arrival, Hon. Jim Okolo took them around the well-spaced factory, as he showed them around the world class facilities, machineries and vibrant human resource structure, as well as the technologies which is implored in the day to day productions of garments and other paramilitary wears in the factory. According to reports, the CG of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, expressed how impressed he was with the standards and other technological facilities used in the garment factory. He commended the CEO, Hon. Jim Okolo for such creative investment, with emphasis on their capacity and world-class machineries. Although, Okolo also expressed appreciation to the CG of NSCDC and his team for the visit to inspect and prospectively establish partnership with his organization. The impressive garment factory is designed and built by Jimco Global Concept under the Chairmanship of Hon. Jim Okolo. Few months ago Heads of several Military and Paramilitary agencies visited the Garment factory for inspection. A fast growing and impact-making non governmental organization, known as Faith Aigbe Foundation had few days ago hosted a Women and Youth Empowerment Program organised for Women and Youths who are vulnerable and in need. The program was held on the 18th to 20th of November 2021 at the Restoration Prayer City and Skill Acquisition Center, behind Sahara Fynestone Estate Gwarinpa, Abuja. According to reports, the event which was tagged Operation Wipe Out Poverty, witnessed several, empowerment trainings, deliverance encounter and spiritual enhancement ministeration, prayers and gift presentations. Some of the notable personalities at the occasion included Mr. Lai Musa, the Deputy Director of Youth Empowerment, Social Development Service in the FCT, Mrs. Maria Ogbonnaya, PA to Minister of State and Barr Fidel Ugbo, a former governorship Aspirant in Cross River State. During the program, youths and women where trained and empowered with starter packs, including cash to support their new skills. Some of the skills includes fish farming, fashion designa, website design, catering, bag making, fascinator and bead making training sessions and donation of food stuffs and wrappers to all participants. However, Participants of the training session have expressed appreciation to Faith Aigbe Foundation and her Partners for empowering them with creative abilities and opportunities. The Founder of Faith Aigbe Foundation is a Spiritual Consultant, a renowned Prophetess and G.O of Christ Restoration Bible Church International(CRBCI). Her prophetic grace has helped in the deliverance of several persons across Nigeria and beyond. INDIGENOUS AWARD NIGERIA 2021 HOLDS 5TH EDITION, HONOURS PERSONS FROM SEVERAL SECTORS The event of the recently held 5th Indigenous Award Nigeria was indeed one of the most colourful, well attended and prestigious award occasion in 2021, recording the distinguished presence and honour of reputable personalities and institutions from across Nigeria. The award ceremony was held on the 15th of December 2021 at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Abuja. According to reports, the 5th edition of Indigenous Award Nigeria 2021 had recognised and decorated the likes of state governors, senators, members of the house of representative, and other executives in the public and private sectors, although several VIPs where duely represented. Bello Masari Decorated Most Proactive Governor In Nigeria by National Peace Award In recognition of his proactiveness in securing the lives and property of indigenes and residents of Katsina, the state Governor, Bello Masari has been honoured and awarded as the Most Proactive Governor in by Nigeria by the National Peace Awards committee. Recall that in December 2020, the swift intervention of the governor had led to the rescue of about 300 pupils abducted and kidnapped from a boys' secondary boarding school on the outskirts of Kankara, Katsina State. This followed an attack by a gang of gunmen on motorcycles at the Government Science Secondary School, where more than 800 pupils reside. At the decoration which took place at Katsina State governor's lodge in Abuja, the National President of the messengers of peace ,convener s of the prestigious National Peace Awards , Dr. Suleiman Adejoh said the leadership sagacity Gov. Bello Masari has shown helped in bringing security challenges in the state under control that lead to the rescue of all the kidnapped boys Joined by some of the committee Executives and the Queen of Peace International, Dr. Adejoh congratulated the governor for redefining public service with excellent performance where he has put the security and welfare of the people of Katsina at the forefront in his leadership. He called on leaders across the country to take a cue from the dedication, proactiveness and high political will Gov. Masari has exhibited in putting Katsina on the map. The governor who was earlier unveiled as a Patron of Messengers of Peace organization at Abuja expressed gratitude to the leadership of National Peace Awards for finding him worthy of the honour. The long awaited Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja Grand Finale has come and gone with Miss Comfort M. Iraya emerging the winner of the 2021 most popular pageant show in Abuja. At the Grand Finale which took place at Sheraton Hotels Abuja, Miss Lilian Obodo emerged the first runner up as Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja Tourism. Also, at the event organised by Dolce Entertainment, Miss Tiara D. Damilola grabbed Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja Advocate with her second runner up position. Others who smiled home Miss Princess Gambo who emerged as Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja Ambassador 2021, Miss Promise Ogah who is now the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja Model and Miss Lois Christian who grabbed the coveted position of Face of Dolce Entertainment Ltd 2021.
