Iran launched direct attacks at Isreal and expects the consequences.. so the U.S. or any other body will be wrong not to expect a similar response...
Bibi too may not have handled issues well since October 7 last year especially the hostage release negotiation efforts but this is going to set the tune for relationships in the middle east for a long time...Iran has been looking for an opportunity to directly enter this war in an effort to disrupt the peace process being brokered by Saudis, Qatar, UAE, Jordan etc ...in a bid to securing the long awaited 2 states agreement between Palestine and Israel....but that would have meant Iran will lose support of most of its proxies in that region....as they too have recently restored ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia...
This is going to escalate no doubt unless Bibi is voted out or impeached and a moderate leader replaces him...and unless there's closure to those held since last October 7, dead or alive ...
