Nairaland General › Houston 19-month-old Burned To Death In Oven - 13 WTHR Indianapolis by blueAgent(op): 6:06pm On Nov 30, 2015
A 19-month-old girl was found burned to death inside a northeast Houston apartment early Tuesday. According to homicide detectives with the Houston Police Department, the mother was at work and left her three children with her boyfriend at the Angel Ridge Apartments off the 8600 block of Sterlingshire Street. During the night, the children were home alone when they started to play with the oven. Emergency crews arrived after midnight, but there was nothing they could do to save the baby, J'zyra Thompson. "Upon their arrival they found a deceased 1-year- old," said HPD homicide detective Ronda Pemberton. "We found the baby next to the oven. It appears to be accidental." she said. "She was a sweet baby," said Gina Dennis, the child's grandmother. "This is unexplainable. I have no words," she said. The other two children are 5 and 4 years old. The child's mother and her boyfriend were taken in for questioning. It is unknown if any charges will be filed. Meanwhile, three of the toddler's siblings were placed in foster care the next day. Case workers from Child Protective Services filed an emergency hearing to take custody of the three children. According to CPS, there have been previous reports made concerning the mother. The children's grandfather is now seeking custody.

There is a drop of greatness in every Nigerian. This exclusive list mirrors the great endeavor of Nigerian scientists both living and dead who have left indelible marks in their respective fields both nationally and internationally. This list is not arranged in any particular order and data was sourced from credible and verified bodies both offline and online.

PHILIP EMEAGWALI

Philip Emeagwali who may well be the greatest scientist of all time is a Nigerian inventor and scientist. He has been living in the United States of America for many years. Philip Emeagwali is recognized worldwide and has been voted “Father of Super-computing,” he is ranked #1 in computing. And ranked FIRST by Google for “contribution to the development of the computer.”
The TIME magazine sees him as: The “Unsung Hero” Behind the Internet. We at amebo are proud of you sir.
Did you know Philip Emeagwali has a higher IQ than Albert Einstein? Okay, now you know.

BART NNAJI

A one time Presidential aspirant and Enugu state born Prof Bartholomew Nnaji, is an erstwhile Minister of Power of the Federal republic who holds a Doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the United States. As a researcher, he focused on: Computer Aided Design, Robotics and Computer Aided Engineering. Using the knowledge he gained from his research pursuits, he created the term Geometric reasoning, the idea that most things we operate has a geometric configuration. He is also credited as one of the innovators of the E-design concept. He is also the founder of the first indigenous owned power generating company in Nigeria and was also a former minister for Science and Technology in the country.

MOHAMMED BAH ABBA

Necessity as they say, is the mother of invention. Mohamed Bah Abba from a rural area of northern Nigeria developed the pot-in-pot refrigerator i,e, Pot-in-Pot Preservation Cooling System in the 1990s. Northern Nigeria is an impoverished region where people in rural communities eke out a living from subsistence farming. In rural northern Nigeria, there are no refrigerators. Most people don’t even have electricity. So perishable food must be eaten immediately, or it will go to waste. He received the Rolex Award for Enterprise in 2001 and used his $75,000 award to make the invention available throughout Nigeria.

COLONEL OVIEMO OVADJE

There are many Nigerians who have made the country proud, either by their personal achievements or their contributions to the development of the country. But, permit me to say that, there is this one with very intimidating credentials; one who has made his mark nationally and internationally. As a medical doctor and a soldier, he has effectively combined the two for the good of humanity in solving the problem of blood salvage from body cavities by pioneering and creating a design- the EATSET to replace and improve on the gauze filtration technique as practiced in developing countries. This great son of is from the Isoko extraction of Delta State. He was declared the Best African Scientist in 1995 before African Heads of States when he won the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and Organisation of African Unity (OAU) Gold Medal for scientific work designed to save women who usually die from abnormal pregnancy (ECTOPIC GESTATION).

PROFESSOR GABRIEL OYIBO

There are always two sides to the coin” and so it is for the most controversial scientist on this list, Gabriel Oyibo, a Professor of Mathematics whose theory – “God Almighty Grand Unified Theorem (GAGUT)” has been heavily criticised by some scholars. Some see him as a madman others see him as a Genius but that notwithstanding this professor boasts of a very rich credential. Professor Gabriel Audu Oyibo obtained his Ph. D. in Aeronautics and Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Troy, New York where he worked for four (4) years on NASA/AFOSR sponsored research and made several contributions in aircraft design, aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, mathematics and taught several courses. Dr. Oyibo received Knighthood by His Royal Highness, Attah of the Igala Kingdom.

Thank you for taking time to read, corrections are welcomed. You can also name notable Nigerian scientists in The comment section below.

If not for Emeagwali, computers, smart phones and wireless networks would be slow globally. His invention made possible processor speeds up to Dual-core, Quad-core, Deca-core, octa-core, e.t.c even the potential to build faster computers or smart phones.

If you're enjoying a fast 8GB RAM on your computer or phone, it's all because of Philip Emegwali. Without his invention, nothing would've been as fast as is enjoyed today. IBM and all the computer companies already gave up on the possibility before he did.

If he was a white man he would've possibly won a nobel prize.

Why do you think Indians are not being killed compared to blacks? Because they focus on education and hard work compared to many black communities in america where they drop out of school and get into drugs.

Please tell me how many of the blacks killed were educated people who worked hard and abide by the rules. the boy Laquan Mcdonald for whom there are protests going on in Chicago now, was he a law abiding boy taking advantage of the free education available? Were his parents people to look up to in society? Didn't he just rob a store?

besides I find the black lives matter movement to be discriminatory. a few white people have been killed by the police in the last few months as well and not one single peep from them, but when a black criminal is killed they bring out his best and most innocent photo and start protesting. i think the police shootings have more to do with police heavy handedness and over reaction that racism. Not saying there are not racially motivated killings but it's more a case of heavy handedness.

Please tell me of one black person who was law abiding working hard who got shot by the police. I have been treated far better by the police in the US than I have ever been in Nigeria. They greet me how you doing sir? You know why? because I do not go around committing crimes and acting dodgy and threatening people.

No matter how great Nigeria will be there will always be people moving in and out of the country. I have not said do not develop Nigeria but the reason should not be because you claim everyone is a second class citizen abroad and will automatically be a first class citizen in Nigeria. Also how do you expect people to sacrifice to help develop the country when we have a such an unbalanced society where it is not based on justice or fairness but on who has more money or knows the right people. I will gladly sacrifice for Nigeria if I know my sacrifice will be allowed to make a difference not wasted by some selfish tribalists all after their own personal gain.
Nigeria were u have over half of the inmates have spent over 20 years still on awaiting trail.is that what is called 1st class citizen

Politics › What Obama's Brother Wrote About Africa ,whites And Southafrica by blueAgent(op): 6:33pm On Nov 27, 2015
Recently, Barack Obama’s own brother, George Obama, wrote a book entitled Homeland: An Extraordinary Story of Hope and Survival. In the book he documents the dismal state of disarray his own country Kenya is in. George goes so far as claiming that Kenya would have been better off if its people had allowed the Whites to rule over them for a longer period of time: ‘…let me tell you something. Look at South Africa they were under the whites until the 1990s, and look where they are now. They’re practically a developed nation. The corruption there is nothing like it is here. So who is better off? Maybe if we’d let the whites stay a bit longer, we’d be where South Africa is today.’ a native Kenyono recognizes that White rule is the key to becoming a successful African state. Just think how horrible Kenya must be if George Obama can only dream of Kenya being more like SouthAfrica.

what do you think .is he right?
Crime › News Cops: Mother Of 8 Killed By Ex After Fight Over Diaper Money by blueAgent(op): 4:50pm On Nov 20, 2015
A single mother of eight young children was shot to death by an ex-boyfriend during an argument over money for diapers and baby wipes, police said in a criminal complaint. Markese Reese, 20, of Penn Hills, was arrested late Tuesday and jailed without bond on a charge of criminal homicide in the death of 28-year-old Marqua Wilson, of Pittsburgh. Allegheny County court records show Wilson had obtained a protection-from-abuse order against Reese in 2013, identifying him as the father of one of her children and saying he had been physically abusive when they lived together in McKeesport, a Pittsburgh suburb. Reese was charged with violating that order in October 2014 by breaking into her home and throwing things, then stabbing her in the arm with a grill fork when she tried to leave. Online court records show burglary and other charges filed in the 2014 incident were withdrawn, but it wasn't clear why. Courts were closed Wednesday for Veterans Day, and the actual documents could not be accessed. Despite that history, Wilson allowed Reese to visit Sunday night into Monday, when he brought baby supplies and some marijuana to her home, authorities said. The complaint indicates a witness was drinking wine and vodka with Wilson before Reese arrived. Reese and Wilson argued Sunday night when he asked her to reimburse him for the baby supplies, saying the money was supposed to have been spent on marijuana, the complaint said. The adults went to bed at about 2 a.m. Monday after Wilson agreed to repay Reese, but the argument resumed after they woke up about 10 a.m., the complaint said. According to the complaint, Reese choked Wilson, so the witness took Wilson's children downstairs while the argument raged on the second floor. The witness then heard a "loud 'boom'" and Reese ran down the stairs with a bloody shirt and hands, saying he and Wilson had been fighting, the complaint said. When the witness went next door to call 911, Reese ran away, police said. Police tried to track down Reese and even sought to negotiate his surrender over the phone. According to the complaint, Reese told police: "We were struggling over the gun and it accidentally went off and I ran." Wilson died of a gunshot wound to the head, police said. Reese denied killing Wilson as reporters peppered him with questions as he was led from police headquarters Tuesday. "I didn't kill the mother of my child," Reese said. "I loved her." Wilson's family has set up a gofundme.com page to raise money for her funeral expenses. Authorities have said Wilson's children are all younger than 13. Reese faces a preliminary hearing Nov. 20 and doesn't have an attorney listed in online court records.
Nairaland General › Paris Attack Was Predicted By The Economist Magzine 2015 Edition by blueAgent(op): 9:23pm On Nov 18, 2015

The Economist released in January a
cryptic cover entitled “The World in 2015”
which featured several enigmatic images.
Did it predict both terrorist attacks in
Paris in 2015?
In the wake of the horrifying Paris attacks
which cost the lives of (at least) 120
innocent people, a specific cover of The
Economist immediately came to mind.
On January 8th 2015, I published an article
entitled The Economist 2015 Cover is Filled
With Cryptic Symbols and Dire Predictions,
which analyzed its many messages. Indeed,
the magazine cover dubbed “The World in
2015” contained several strange and sinister
images which appeared to announce a violent
year. Considering the fact the The Economist
is partly owned by the Rothschild banking
family of England and its editor-in-chief,
John Micklethwait , attends Bilderberg
Conferences, one should take heed of
warnings issued by those who can make them
a reality.

For a detailed analysis of this cover, read
this article.
Probably the most enigmatic part of the
cover is the bottom right where we see two
arrows with mysterious numbers, a pile of
dirt and an old painting.

A closeup of the bottom right of the
cover.
Looking back at what happened this year, this
portion of the cover becomes rather
troubling. It is a little too prophetic.
First, the painting next to the arrows is
Leonardo Da Vinci’s La Belle Ferronière. That
painting is currently located in the Louvre, in
Paris.
Second, the numbers on the two arrows are
11.5 and 11.3. The Paris attacks occurred
11/13/15. The digits on the arrows can
therefore be rearranged to make up the date.
The attack was claimed by ISIS. The
Economist cover features an ISIS member
holding a rifle.

Most Parisian casualties were caused by
Kalashnikov rifles. The terrorist is
surrounded with what looks like blood
splatter.
The cover also features French President
François Hollande … looking the other way.
As I stated in my article ISIS : A CIA
Creation to Justify War Abroad and
Repression at Home
, I have little doubt that ISIS is used as a
tool to further the occult elite’s Agenda
including : Invading Syria and justifying police
state surveillance in the West.
Let’s look back at the concrete effects of ISIS
this year.
1. Justified the invasion of Syria, finally
destroying its status as a regional
force;
2. Accelerated the mass exodus of Syrians
towards the West;
3. Opened the floodgates of Syrian
refugees around the Western world
(boosted by the picture of a dead boy);
4. Caused widespread panic in the
Western world with Paris terror attack,
justifying tighter monitoring and police
state tactics.
Media are already reporting that one of the
Paris terrorists had a Syrian passport on him
and that Hollande is considering the attacks
as an act of war.
In short, after guilting Western countries into
accepting thousands of Syrian refugees, an
Islamist attack causes fear, hatred and
distrust towards Muslims in those very
countries. Things are about to get
complicated.
But, why would “they” purposely create such
a horrific situation which involve so many
innocent people? Well, for one, their motto is
Ordo Ab Chao … Order out of chaos.

Philosophical answer........

You cannot die, in the first place. Even if you wanted you cannot die. Cause there's nothing like death.

What they call death is a change of state, like water in a kettle evaporating into the air in the form of steam. Believe it or not, the water didn't disappear, the water is still there in the air, just you can't see it. This includes all the water you have drank since you was born, all the water you have used to bath, all the water you've thrown away, including those used by your mother and father, your friends, even your ancestors, are still the same water all of use today. All those water didn't die, they didn't even go away. They're still here with us!!. It's just that our senses deceive us sometimes about the nature of reality.

It could also be described as a mirage. Like when you're traveling and keep seeing pool of water in front on the expressway, but when you get there you see no water.

Where were you before you was born?. Were you dead?.

Scientific answer....

Ultimately, the smallest thing in our universe are photons and quartz. And that's what atoms themselves are made of.

And we know atoms are 99% empty space. So, literally, you're not a solid, but an illusion of solid.

Quartz and photons pass through walls like Harry Potter would in the movie, they pass though iron, flesh of humans, water, anything!. They are zooming through all of us and everything else everywhere in the universe. You're literally breathing quartz and photons where you are now and they will continue zooming through you, even if you die the so called death. They will continue zooming through your last decaying teeth and will eventually go non physical, when there's no physical object for them to pass through.

Quartz and photons are eternal, intelligent, conscious, they're in everywhere at all time (omnipresent). We also possess these qualities, because that's what we're made of in the first place. Therefore, we're eternal and literally small Gods ourselves. All these confirmed by all the quantum physics.

Like the water and steam example above, death is just an evaporation of quartz and photons into the non physical realm of existence. We're already in eternity now.

See below videos.

Atheist are crap.you want evidence.how many of them have gone to verify what the scientist.is telling them. they believe science.without prove (they should prove radiowaves, and ultrasonic rays)but cannot believe the bible.

the funny thing is most of them are non science students who depend on the science ones to prove and unprove for them .pathetic so if the bible is untrue becos it was written by inspired men of God. so is science books more valid becos they are also written by men.

Lmao... You believe in eternity because someone told you, in fact a primitive book that has not inferred any method or means of deduction and you clutch on to it whether it is true or not.

when science proposes a thesis, it propounds demonstrative means of deductions... So i would be waiting for yours.

Our God told us so we believe, mind telling us what this God sounds like when he was telling you this tale?

Do you have an actual means of demonstrating your claim of God told us?

Until you can throw away assuming up more fantasies like "God told us" to support your fantasy, your arguments will keep sounding like a joke.....

People reading this would be sure to find this quite funny "Our God told us" same thing you claimed was an innate quality..smh

Try harder...
Scientifically accurate statements on the
Scriptures which pre-dated man's ability
to have discovered those truths for
himself. Spericity of Earth, hydroligical
cycle. an existance of an atmosphere,
The Lord's understanding of the
digestive process, are just a few
concept which the bible reveals which
predated man's ability to discover these
truths for himself

The movement of the earth is an observed fact and with tons of proof supporting it... the Catholic back then is based on the immutable dogmatic doctrines as stipulated by the tenets of their belief...

Evidence supports a thesis not assumptions..

Lmao.. you are not well rooted in science boy, Blackholes are pure observed existential phenomena. … this was exactly why i asked "What is a blackhole" Scientific facts does not need to be believed.. Science do not propose immutable dogmas that must be believed but recognizes chances of being wrong in its thesis.

It was once thought information cannot escape a blackhole just few months ago stephen hawkins proposed it actually can.. know something before employing it desperately in an argument that you have absolutely no basis to stand on

what happens when chicken and, goats die?

last time I checked, we re all animals but higher ones.

we kill snakes, lions and many others if we catch them. they in turn kill us if they catch and outsmart us.

so if u saying we got afterlife. that means they v got afterlife also.
We are higher than animals. JESUS died for human beings not animals.there will.be ressurection and every man will stand before God . but while one is dead he is sleeping.

Jesus refered to Lazurus as been at sleep

if we are unconscious of our surrounding when at sleep. how much more when we are dead.

That is not what the op is talking about. He means what happens right after a person dies a physical death, ie does the consciousness survive?

Much evidence suggests the answer to that is a resounding YES.

Bollocks! So China and India are growing richer is all part of the white man's plan? If you honestly think that China and India will team up with the white man, then you certainly don't know them.
What about the BRICS countries agreement, Don't tell me "White Supremacy" plan?
Is the invasion of Europe by Middle Eastern refugees also "White Supremacy"?
Is Ukraine going into civil war and being manipulated by Russia also "White Supremacy"?
Is the rapidly falling birthrate and decline of White people also "White Supremacy"?

Is my big black d1ck "White Supremacy" also?

"White Supremacy" isn't some all powerful thing that runs the universe. If it was then China and India wouldn't be growing powerful at an alarming rate?

"White Supremacy" is a crutch for weak minded black people to think everything is against them, when it makes no logical sense!

Wherever you go in the world today whites have the upper hand because their economic system of capitalism is what is being used to run the most powerful economies in the world, capitalism and racism go hand in hand. Why? because Capitalism creates a "them and us" society. It divides the masses along the lines of race and rewards one group (whites) and oppresses another group (mainly blacks) in order to keep both groups divided and incapable of overthrowing their common enemy - the white elite. Therefore many whites have a vested interest in things remaining the same while blacks continue to be marginalised by the system.

The majority of black people in the west are used by white capitalists as a regular and cheap source of labour, that's why illegal immigration will never be curbed as it is used to build the wealth of many western capitalist economies.

The so called fastest growing economies in Africa are run by puppets who act on behalf of their white capitalist masters - the wealth that they create does not trickle down to the poorest in society but is retained by the black bourgeois puppets who have agreed to sell out their own people in exchange for a piece of the action. The only solution for the African masses is a socialist revolution which will completely uproot the white racist system of capitalist exploitation and replace it with a fairer and more equitable system which represents all members of African society.
inorder words you are saying whites are using Capitalism to expolit others.last time i checked we have Iron ore and coal but nobody is minning it.is it whiteman that stopped our businessmen and cabel not to invest in it. in Bayelsea state no single pure water factory will you also blame the whiteman.Nigeria imports even chewingstick blame the white man also for having lazy leaders and business men who can not moblize factors of production and produce goods and services.

Boeing aircraft is the world largest aircraft company in the world built by indivduals not government.same with Google,facebook,instagram,microsoft,mobil,Chevron,e.t.c

blacks will loot and destory and later look for who to blame.4oil referneries not is working @ aleast 30% capacity. blame white capitalism.

black are just lazy mentally simple.i guess same capitalism built japan,South Korea and Singapore.

socialism is old fashion go and ask Cuba ,Russian .even China is moving away from socialism to capitalism.

Africans lack entrepreneurship skills.white people have built companies that are larger than many African nations put together.

Ajeokuta steel. not functioning inspite of government involument. but imagine two or three people coming together to setup a company like Boeing, martin Lockheed,or rolls rocye companies involued in making something as complex and diffcult as aircraft.yet it is working and still in operation for years.

guy we are way behind period.

well!.....nice post. but..........
now guys get it right and not wrong....Pornography theologically is bad though not mentioned in d bible but the theologians made us understand dat it is bad contrary to dat constitutionally with which we are guided it is right and good because it has been legalized long time ago that is why we have them so much nowadays but logically it depends on d individual dat is watching d porn though d belief is dat wen u watch porn u misbehave but it is not d case in every situation but I think it is bad when u make it bad and good when u make it good. dont judge anybody caught in d act of watching porn rather try convincing d person.
Lastly I wanna believe dat there is no one who has never seen porn either directly or indirectly. Let me at this point step aside by saying HAPPY SUNDAY TO U ALL amanda awaiter
Porn is totally wrong .Jesus said who ever lusts after a woman in his heart has already committed adultry .so tell me can one watch porn without committing sin in thoughts or action.
Secondly will JESUS do that .if he was here on earth. if he will not then it is a sin.
porn destorys homes ,one's self esteem.confidence. and even mirrages. issue of big not big enough is promoted or influenced by porn. it also breeds lusts. am not a saint.but i like saying the truth .even when saying it will convict me. rather than trying to justify it.

$800 for a girl-girl scene
$1,000 for a guy-girl scene
$1,200 or more for anal sex
$4,000 or more for "double penetration

I second that! Show me one African country that use it's native language as it's official national language! How do you expect to become a first class nation using a foreign language and teaching your kids abstract subjects with a language that doesn't come natural to them?

Even "Nigeria" adopted English as it's official language, despite not recognized by English/British law as an English speaking country. That's what you call; Mental slavery IMO.

No African country is worth the onion!
Malaysia ,India,Indonesia,Egypt name them all speak foriegn language and they are doing well stop giving stupid excuse

This article might not be true .Trump is smart not to say this in public.

but it is the obvious truth if blacks are not lazy.then while do whites lead in all areas of endeavours including sports.
White guys create wealth, jobs and fortunes for generations while our on people(blacks) loot wealth and destory it. google on wikipedia history of most of the world multinationals and their founders.from Mobil,Chevron,Shell ,Facebook,Google, instagram,Pfizer, procter&Gamble,General Electric,IBM,HP,Microsoft,Walmart.,Baker hughes, even to world largest Aircraft company Boeing.the list is endless.
most of this companies are older than the Almagamation of Nigeria in 1920 to say the least. Our own is politics nothing more no brain to utilize resources within their environment.imagine states like Imo and Bayelsa and many states in Nigeria.do not have any single factory or industry.eg in Bayelsa pure water is brought from Delta state.
yet they have politician and wealthy people but no foresight. i pity Nigeria till we change our mindset nothing will change.even corruption is a product of the mindset.
