The diversification of the economy is not the responsibility of the FG but that of the state govt. Education and solid minerals development are suppose to be areas that the state govts would handle and pay tax to the FG. Read up on Sinopec, the owners of Addax Petroleum and find out about their exploits, when it comes to oil production. Your impression about the Asians, is far from the truth. Some of the best set of drilling equipment used around the world, are fabricated in Asia. Ask the Japanese about oil exploration equipment. You will be shocked at their level of technical knowledge.
