Eriokanmi:
Nice cheesy. They won't learn from this guy's entrepreneurial prowess now. Shukudi will leave Anambra with nothing, come to lagos to learn trading. After gaining freedom, his boss will open a shop for him as their tradition demands. Shukudi will sleep inside his shop for months, later he will rent one room apartment. He will cook and eat inside same room. He doesnt have time for feferity. He's only seen with 2 clothes and 2 trousers. Later shukudi will open another shop, now invite someone from his village to stay there.

Meanwhile the landlord will wake up in the morning and be playing ludo with awon omode adugbo who are jobless. His children too are indolent, chasing girls around. Instead of the landlord to ask his son to be following shukudi to his shop and learn trading, he won't look in that direction cos to him, it's a waste of time. One day, shukudi will ask the landlord to give him a flat and he will pay a higher rent and the landlord will chase the occupants away and convert the rooms into a flat, out of the advance paid by shukudi, who would invite boys from his village as he opened the 3rd shop to stay there.

They'd all be staying inside the flat. A few years later, shukudi will meet with the landlord and ask him to sell the house to him for an attractive price. He will gladly accept and shukudi will pull down the entire building and erect his mansion or a shopping complex with 3 bedroom flat on the last floor where he will be staying with his family.

Later, the landlord and his children will be threatening shukudi to leave their land....which land is that?

Life is a process. Follow it and you'd not be disappointed. If you can't beat them, join them and stay happy. Don't be a spectator. Only spectators end up threatening others cos when others are busy shaping their future, spectators will be busy looking. When these guys are suffering, nobody sees them but when the money comes, they'd say they're ritualists. Money rituals don't last. Don't join them in indulging in it if you dont want to die miserably and untimely. Learn from others instead of being envious of them. That's the secret successful people won't tell you.

If anyone else was elected, he'd have faced the same challenge. Buhari tried to remove subsidy in phases, but he failed woefully. So he took the drastic action of not providing for it in the budget and kept quiet. Fuel price never increased. Tinubu probably excitedly announced it and sent shock waves across board. Do you wonder why fuel price did not increase despite Buhari removing the subsidy and only spiked when Tinubu announced it?

The power of communication. What if he had kept quiet about it as his aides advised him to?

The indication is that we are dealing with a complex country and many fat cats who want the status quo. The biggest issue here is NNPC. The subsidy claims by NNPC is opaque and NNPC keeps paying subsidy...to whom? The same organization that imports fuel? NNPC could not tell us how much fuel was consumed daily. When they came up with a number, no one believed it, including NNPC. To fix Nigeria, NNPC needs to be made a truly Nigerian-owned company. The way NNPC collects loans, what have they done with them? How can 4 refineries collapse at once and cannot be fixed? Who is sabotaging Dangote's own?

This same problems extend to the power sector and all other sectors.

As for communication, the president did talk to the nation, but how many people are ready to listen? Remember when he spoke during the August riots, it didn't stop the riots. I think himself, the 36 state governors and all elected officials must roll up their sleeves and get to work. Let the work do the talking. Imagine the statement that can be made if people see 1,000 buses to ease transportation. Imagine the statement that would be made if cooking gas is so cheap. Imagine the statement that would be made when water supply is addressed in states.

When we were young, we used to carry seats from our houses with our names inscribed on them to sit in school. Imagine our joy when lorries brought desks to our school and we carried our chairs on our heads back home.

Just to sum up; there was never a time Nigeria was an eldorado. Pick up newspapers from the 80s. The problems then have not left us. During the Abacha years, before many of the young ones were born, there was Abacha stove. There was a time people prepared meals with saw dust. There was a time people used charcoal iron. Many of us studied without electricity as generator was a luxury.

I'd say nothing has changed except that the present generation are complaining and rightfully so. What we, the semi-OG, are trying to do is refocus the narrative so they hold everybody to account.
No time to read this trash.

You are not worth responding to.

I remember my years in Deeper life growing up.

We would go for a 4-day "retreat" as it was called.

The high point of every retreat was the free meals served twice daily and the chance to explore.

Nothing has really changed, just a cycle that has kept us backwards as a country.

Religion is fvcking beautiful Africa up.

If you travel to China, U.A.E or North America, you will see the difference in quality of life.

They don't do religion the way Africa does

We waste too much time of things that has never moved us forward as a people.

Christianity and Islam are not our original religion as a race and people.

Why dump your toy because you were told the other child's own is more beautiful? It's all about mindset and I can tell you for free, Africans do not have a mind of their own.

Think about slave trade. Why was Africa the only continent that sold their brothers?

Until we stop wasting precious time doing religion instead of working, we go no where as a people.

Make God sha help Africa
So which religeon is better?

The one that needs Human skulls to be mined inorder to make one rich?

The story long o but make I give you hint, from Shell being given the sole rights to drill oil to the eventual creation of NNPC and the bastardization of the refineries in the 1990s to complete dependence on importation of oil.......The West in conjunction with IMF would rather continue to give corrupt leaders loans in exchange for oil based agreements that ensures oil exportation and pertrol importation levels remains constant.

The threat of having working refineries that would stop such agreement is tantamount to a declaration of war!
Veru useless writeup without facts.

Was it not your government that carried out the indiginization of the oil refineries, that lead to its present failure?

Is there any country in the world that is not a borrower? Including US,China, UK e.t.c.

So your claim is totally void.
You blacks and Africans over estimate your resources and capacity.

The West have all the money in the World they don't need to steal what they can afford.

I hope you know, just 4companies alone in US have revenue and market capitalization larger than the entire African Economy.
