https://blueink.ng/lion-heart-vs-king-of-boys-if-i-had-to-chose-one/ I know, it’s been a while both King of Boys and Lion Heart were released but it is so hard to forget the buzz and impact they had before, during and after their cinema runs. If you have seen the movies – multiple times as I have, you would easily catch yourself trying to compare and if possible, pick a favourite. The plots in both movies are almost polar opposites but also eerily similar. While ‘Lion Heart’ follows Ada (Genevieve Nnaji) on her journey to save her family’s company from bankruptcy and a hostile takeover, ‘King of Boys’ shows Eniola Salami (Sola Sobowale) struggles as she attempts to leave the streets for high profile politics. ‘Lion Heart’ spends time building family bonds and solving business problems in a cool, calm, collected manner. ‘King of Boys’, on the other hand, approaches similar themes with more street credibility, rawness and in the most relatable manner. The latter shared a story that a majority of Nigerians can share a joke about; this sold me. Both Kemi Adetiba and Genevieve Nnaji, producers of ‘King of Boys’ and ‘Lion Heart’ respectively scored massive points with the strong female leads in the movies. They also had a similar casting pattern of music stars – Reminisce and Illbliss for ‘King of Boys’; Peter Okoye and Phyno for ‘Lion Heart’. The movies also had a plethora of veterans with Sola Sobowale and Jide Kosoko leading in ‘King of Boys’ while ‘Lion Heart’ had Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo, Chika Okpala and Onyeka Onwenu. Personally, I was on the edge of my seat all the times I watched ‘King of Boys’ as there were several twists and turns. The suspense was well written out making the movie length worth the time. It will be bias not to note that ‘Lion Heart’ is a predominantly family feel-good nollywood movie and it is a personal fault that I walked into the cinema expecting a thriller. Still, it felt like I had seen the movie over and over as it reminded me of the ‘home videos’ I watched in the 90s and early 2000s except the better camera and lighting. It is really good movie that reminds you of your Nigerianness so much that you laugh at yourself. There I was, wearing my younger self, expecting Nkem Owoh to do something terrible as I had seen him do in other movies. He was safe just like everybody else in the movie. I don’t like safe plots just like a lot of us. Kemi Adetiba understood this and came prepared. Genevieve Nnaji remained as sweet as usual and gave us something to calm our nerves, exposing the beauty of family. But if I could pick one, ‘King of Boys’ can take my money over and over again. As a photographer, creativity, balance and client satisfaction are core tenets I must abide with. This makes it possible for me to recognize these qualities anywhere in things that I love, especially FOOD. I love the process of creating food, the intense but charming look on the faces of chefs while they marry recipes and aethestically ‘plate' the food for the visual, aromatic and tasty demands of ‘eaters'. In fact, food was one of the things that birthed Blue Ink Media. You can't imagine how much the thoughts of sharing the intricacies of my own meals excited me. Shocked? Yeah, this photographer can cook. Close folks know that I am a natural foodie and can attest to my cooking skills, especially for local dishes. More importantly, I wanted to showcase the best food places and chefs to the world and this led to the birth and unveiling of the Mr Manny Food Blog. I wanted to embark on a classic food review with a twist and like photography, I decided to have the most fun with this. Doesn't food birth the most fun? It certainly does or gives the energy to, especially as a lot of energy and support came from my good friend and top food blogger MatseCooks when I intimated her of my plans. I told her how I would love to make some of my dishes with MatseCooks seasonings and she obliged me by generously and promptly gifting me five of her seasonings. I probably would have been stuck at the idea stage without her support. But here we are. I am Mr Manny, the photographer who loves food enough to prepare local dishes at his leisure while he appreciates the works of professionals and reviews them for the readers of Blue Ink. This journey has been educative as I have come to appreciate the works of our dear chefs more. So cheers to Chef Stone, Chef Emeka, Chef Muse, Chef Fregz, MatseCooks and other chefs out there for all the hard work. The Mr Manny Food Blog reviews is all about making fun expositions about several food experiences while we have as much fun as possible. So, pick up your food gears and taste buds as you come with me on this new and exciting journey. PS: Come prepared to feed your eyes because Mr Manny is not leaving salivating photography out of the equation. https://blueink.ng/mr-manny-food-blog-the-back-story/

So we are in the month of February and everyone knows that it is usually classified as the month of love. Now, I don’t think anyone should have to write about love or how amazing love is, but we live in a world where people are blinded, so here is my abbreviated opinion on love. First of all, love is a gift. Don’t waste it, don’t mishandle it, don’t abuse it. The thing about love is, it comes when you least expect it and it usually leaves you amazed. However, people often don’t know what to do when they are faced with true and genuine love. So they start by testing it, to see if it’s the real thing. If the love passes their so-called tests, they then proceed to do one of the most stupid things I have ever heard of. They decide to front for the love. They take advantage of the love, and they disrespect it. They treat love as if it’s just something you see everywhere. Forgetting that in the century, love is scarce, very scarce. Someone will say he/she loves you. Said person will date you for 5 years, break up with you and get married a month later. Yet someone who has true love will be manhandling it. That never ceases to amaze me. Another thing they do is, they run. This is common amongst people who have been hurt before. They don’t know what to do with the love, so they get scared and they run. Which is sad. Because pure and honest love is beautiful and it conquers all things. When love comes around, grab onto it tightly and don’t let go. It’s so rare these days. If you have someone that you love, do not let anything get in the way of the love. Don’t let your pride, your stubbornness, your selfishness, anything, get in the way of it. Because, chances of you finding that love again, aren’t as high as we’d like to think. It’s not easy to find someone who loves you completely and totally, and will love you even when they hate you. Someone who will stick with you in your good and your bad times. So if you find that person, please hold on, with all that you have and love that person back. Speaking from personal experience, we all love differently. That someone doesn’t show his/her love to you the way you expect or desire, does not mean that they don’t love you. It just means that they have a different love language from yours. The only way you can discover their love language is by giving them a chance and telling them what makes you happy and vice versa. I have seen people throw away beautiful relationships, simply because one person’s way of showing love was different from the other person, and they both just couldn’t see it. Things like that can only be overcome by time, knowledge, patience, and a willingness to learn and be better for your significant other. Love is easy and beautiful but to maintain love, you have to put in the effort or else life and all its hassle will make you forget why you fell in love in the first place. So in this month of love, don’t take it for granted. Be it your friend, family, or your lover, don’t take the love you have for granted. I remember when I first started learning to drive in Nigeria, my driving instructor used tosay,“You have to always consider the Nigerian factor when you’re driving” I had an experience recently, which made me really think about this thing called the Nigerian factor. In reality, it should be the Nigerian factors because they are plenty! Today, I will focus on only one. One of my problems with Nigerians is this, we like awoof too much, but we want the awoof job to be of the best quality. Why? It really hurts me when I hear Nigerians looking for people who will do great jobs for them but charge next to nothing. I mean, you will look for a plumber that will charge you next to nothing to fix a problem in your bathroom, and then when two weeks later the same problem develops and you begin to wonder what happened. We don’t want to pay for quality but we want quality. But here’s the thing. Quality is expensive. I mean, I know in the current state of the country, everything seems expensive, but the truth is, if you want something that will last, you oftentimes have to pay for it! We treat people who offer direct services, people who are self-employed as if they don’t deserve to earn a living. If you go to a school and the school fee’s is too much for you, the normal thing to do is go and look for another school. The same applies if you go to a petrol station, a restaurant, or a hospital. If you can’t afford it, you go to a different place; you don’t start to beg the doctor or the waiter to reduce the money he is charging you or to treat/feed you for free! You see, the problem with all these awoof jobs is this. When someone does work for you free of charge, if you don’t like the work, how do you complain? How do you say this is rubbish, do it again? Especially when the person is doing it “as a favour to you,” I mean, it’s one thing if the person offers to do it for free, but even then, when someone does something for free, there is always this, “you take what you get” attitude/idea that follows it. I mean, there will always be someone cheaper, so if someone or something is more expensive than you thought, there is no shame in looking for someone else. Another thing that upsets me is how we like to use our friends who offer services. I mean, your friend is a tailor, so you will now say, please sew this cloth for me for free. As per we are friends. Or make this design for me for free, and I always say to myself, is it that we don’t appreciate the work they do? Or do we expect them to eat our appreciation? I mean, friend or no friend. If someone is doing work for you, pay the person! If you can’t afford it, find someone else! Let these people make a living! Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you shouldn’t take free stuff if you’re offered, I’m just saying, if you want good quality, be ready to pay for it! Don’t make your friends do things for you for free. Don’t like awoof so much that even something that is the norm you begin to make noise as if they are extorting you. Give people the money they deserve, put yourself in their shoes once in a while. Not every time price for Africa (especially when you can afford it!)! http://www.blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=105 http://www.blueink.ng/

Henry Oji is an Abuja based photographer that goes by the brand name Big H Studios and he needs no introduction. Humble, generous, passionate, shy, funny are some of the ways you can describe Big H. Within a short period of time as photographer Big H covered and achieved what many other photographers can only imagine and fantasize about. It’s safe to say he’s living some people’s fantasies. We sat down with him recently at his studio for a very revealing chat. We covered some interesting topics like his fears, his biggest achievement, photography classes, his most successful student to date, his take on Abuja as a city, our way of life and many more. Enjoy. http://www.blueink.ng/featuresdetails.aspx?id=81 http://www.blueink.ng/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHhVn3nEMTI

Recently I moved into a new apartment. Very quickly, I learnt a couple of things. The main one being that I hate moving! Like, the stress involved is just plenty and unnecessarily necessary! However, I did learn other things, and I will share the top 5 things I learnt! I hope this helps someone! 1. Moving is a great time to get rid of stuff you donot need! I did not do this (for some reason that I don’t know up till now) and I regret not doing that, cause I ended up moving with more things than I needed and had to sort and get rid of them after I moved. So yea, if you are a semi hoarder like me, moving is always a great opportunity to declutter your life. If you have not used it in the last 3-6 months, then maybe you can do without it! 2. Use big boxes! This minimises how many things you have to move with. Again, I did not do this. I used many small boxes, which was just stress. I had like 6-7 small boxes and honestly all those things could have easily fitted into 2 big boxes at most. It made transporting my stuff quite tedious and gave everyone (myself included) the impression that I had more things than I actually do. 3. If you do not have boxes, use bin bags (big, strong, leather bags). I know this might sound weird, but it actually works out really well. I will tell you why. Plastic bags are quite flexible so you can fill them up with stuff, especially clothes and just throw them into the back of a car and not have to worry about anything. It is a handy thing to do if you move often. 4. Unpack as soon as possible. Like, I have been living in this house for almost 2 months and I still have not finished unpacking! I did the major unpacking in the first week, but I lived out of my suitcases for like 3-4 weeks and I still have things that are boxed up. I just had no desire to unpack. In my head, it is stress! So yea, unpack as soon as you can before the “ginger” leaves you and you are stuck living out of suitcases and boxes. 5. Don’t underestimate how much time and effort you need to pack up, move and unpack. It really takes a lot of energy, mental and physical and it takes time. Especially if you have many things. It is important you do not under estimate it, so you can plan appropriately. In my opinion, it is best to do it over the weekend, or a public holiday to give yourself time to unpack and get relatively settled. Start packing your things as soon as you can. Start by packing away the things you do not use in your everyday life, and things you can do without for a few days. For example, you can pack up most of your kitchen and leave the few utensils you would need for the week. Finally, I know I said 5, but let me add one last thing! Avoid buying perishables close to your moving time if you can! And if you must, buy them in small quantities! I know you might think, oh, but I do not want to move and start going to buy food, but yo, moving with food is just unnecessary stress, which you should avoid. So if you can avoid moving with food, please do. You do not need that additional wahala! So yea, those are the few moving tips I have for you! There are lots more, but I’ll stop there for now! I hope this was helpful to someone! http://www.blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=83 http://www.blueink.ng/

So, I am back again with a little piece on Nigerian parents. I was talking to someone a few days ago. Let’s call him Zee for the purpose of this piece. He was telling me about his previous escapades with weed in the past and He finished his story with “… but it is not something I want to do again” Our conversation then diverted to Nigerian parents, and how fear is usually their main communication tool! They never say why something might be harmful to you; they just use the fear of something, or some sort of punishment to stop you from doing a thing. For example. When they want to get you to abstain from sex, they tell you, you will get aids or you will get pregnant. As if aids is only contracted from sex and pregnancy is a bad thing, lol. I mean, they are true but only to a limited extent. They are not the absolute truths. Personally, I think the worst of all is alcohol. I do not know about you guys, but I grew up in a home where drinking alcohol was a taboo. Yet no one could ever tell me why. They just said it was wrong. Why it was wrong, up until today I do not know! Now, this is not me bashing Nigerian parents in any way. I am Nigerian and I love my parents. However, it is me saying as Nigerians in general we need to do better when it comes to communication. We don’t like to talk about things like sex, drugs, alcohol, homosexuality, partying, mental health etc. We are very aware they are going on, we often times indulge in them, but talking about them is an issue. What we fail to see is that, awareness is a powerful preventative tool. When I first moved out of Nigeria to study, the first thing that struck me was the fact that all my friends were very aware and so were their parents. My friends knew how to take care of themselves on a night out. They would party like crazy, but they were always looking out for each other. I remember hearing them talk about how one time they could not get a taxi back from a club one evening and they called one of their mothers’ and she drove down to the club and picked them up at like 3am in the morning. In my mind I was like, Imagine if it was my mother! Lol, I might as well start walking home! What I have learnt from living in the west is this, talking about things is much better than 1) pretending they don’t exist 2) deciding your opinion on an issue is the only one that matters and 3) using fear as a teaching tool. Communication might not stop people from doing drugs, and what not, but it will definitely give them an idea of what they are walking into before they start. It also lets them decide for themselves, which I think people, especially young people respect. Knowledge is power. For all the people out there who are sexually active, use drugs, drink alcohol and party every night, no, I am not telling you to stop (I don’t care that much!) I am however suggesting that if you are not “aware” of the side effects of what you are doing, or of how to minimise certain side effects, or even how to get the most out of what you are doing without killing yourself, maybe you should invest some time in finding out. Prevention is always better than cure! Disclaimer: I am in no way promoting living a careless life! I am just saying knowledge is power, and if you are going to indulge in something, do you research first! Words by Sammie http://blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=81 http://blueink.ng/

Ohata’s uncanny bird footwear is making quite the splash across the internet. Creative and eye-catching shoes designed to look like realistic pigeon birds. The Pigeon bird shoes handcrafted by talented Japanese artist Kyoto Ohata. It’s unclear when Ohata first made these shoes, but naturally, folks have plenty to say about them. Apparently, Ohata regularly walks by a large park of pigeons in her daily life, and she made the shoes so as not to scare them. The process behind the shoes’ making is thoughtful and crafty too. The birds’ “bodies” are actually just a sensible normal high heel, with felt and faux-feather effects on top. You don’t have to be a bird lover to appreciate both the intention and design of Ohata’s work. http://www.blueink.ng/featuresdetails.aspx?id=73

1."BASED ON LOGISTICS" Efe might arguably not be the smartest in the big brothers house but I must confess his trending " based on logistics "seems to be making waves and you might even catch one of your favourite celebrity using it. 2."Big Brother man" We all know her to be the Queen of the diary session. It seems Uriel's true personality is shown when she's in the diary room, but you can never take away the "yo big bropha man"(with her oyibo accent) away from our miss diary session. Even biggie couldn't stop her from using her catch phrase. The guy (voice) tire for her matter. 3."KEMEN" I couldn't help but laugh at how kemen became a verb considering the fact that its supposed to be a name. Kemen was disqualified from the big brother house for allegedly attempting to sexually touch a fellow housemate. Abeg hope say nobody go kemen me on account of this? 4."KIDNEY" Don't worry, we are not talking about one of the human body part. Kidney is efe's own way of saying " sense, brain, intellect "or whatever our warri brother is trying to imply. So when next you hear the word kidney in the house, just know its synonymous to " intellect. 5."GOOD STUFF" Not everyone knows this but bassey coined the phrase " good stuff". It may not be as prominent as the rest but at least our Buffy Cross River guy has one tagged to his name. when next u come across some of these words or phrase in the big brothers house, you can be able to relate and don't forget to thank us later. In the small Twenty Something years I've been on earth, I've come across and tolerated several boys. Some are Mama's boys, baby boys and Real Men But the Bleep boy is one special specie I cannot tolerate. I hear scientist are looking for a cure to these Nuisances. So here we go: A typical Abuja Bleep boy will Curse the women he ever had a relationship with, blaming them for all the bad things that happened in the "relationship" (if it ever was a relationship). You see, Bleep boys just want to be something they know nothing about. They lead you on and then ghost. They will stop being with you without a good explanation. Have some new girl and when they see you are doing better without them, they crawl back hoping to kill the small joy you are now enjoying. Don't mistake a baby boy for a Bleep boy. Baby boys want to have fun, they want to party, drink, have flings with no strings attached and enjoy the beautiful things without a care in the world. They'll either tell you or you'll figure it out on your own but a Bleep boy will want a purely sexually relationship for the moment but pretend he wants you for keeps. You are dealing with an Abuja Bleep boy if he disrespects women. Notice how he calls girls derogatory names? That's a fuckboy attitude. If he Disrespects his mom and doesn't treat women right or never has anything good to say about his ex and calls them " Whores, crazy, pussies", best believe when he's done with you he'll call you worse. If he's a Yoruba boy then you need to know that according to science, Yoruba boys (also called Yoruba demons) are Fuckboys by nature. It's in their DNA. They are certified fuckboys and heart breakers. Alert others. We are not saying Sending bae some sexy photos once in a while is bad, but any Abuja boy that makes it a habit of always asking for nudes anytime you are trying to have a conversation is a fuckboy. He'll pester you for nudes and When you check his phone you see several other nudes. He's uncomfortable leaving his phone unlocked because almost all the notifications coming in are nudes. If he makes you feel like you owe him Nudes, then he's a real Bleep boy. Bleep boys want to keep things in Gray periods. If you try to define your relationship and notice he's always not straight with his response or he says "let's see what happens" or "Let's go with the flow". He's either a Bleep boy or is not into you! A Bleep boy shy's away from labels. If he never makes his intentions clear, chances are that he's a Yoruba boy displaying typical fuckboy attitude. He doesn't want you to know where you stand meanwhile he wants to keep doing the damn thing so that when things fall apart, he doesn't have to deal with guilt. We'll advice you carry your small yansh and leave him. Any Abuja guy who's not clear about the kinda relationship he wants with you is a typical Abuja Bleep BOY!. If He looks like May Weather or Ray J, nobody needs to tell you he's an Abuja Bleep boy! The most obvious sign of a Bleep boy is someone who has actually leaked someone's nudes on social media or via text and yes, if you as a guy participate in such fuckery, feel free to call yourself a Bleep Boy. Most Abuja Bleep boys Have friends who are Fuckboys themselves. After all "birds of a feather flock together". If his friends exhibit same attitude, who's to say he's not like them?! Abuja Fuckboy will go against guy code by dating girls their friends have dated. I don't know if the mumu girls don't know this. A typical Abuja Bleep boy is actually shameless. He'll keep hitting on you even when he's with another girl or after you've rejected him. Most girls have had guys that Don't want to be seen in public with them. He always has an excuse on why you can't go out together. He's busy. He's mum is a pastor and so the members of the church might see him. He doesn't feel like going and the rest. #BS!! If a man isn't proud to be seen with you in public then you are the side piece. This doesn't necessarily mean you're not good enough. He's just being a Bleep boy. Bleep boys Always have ideas on how women should appear. Your nails, makeup and outfit must always catapult you to the apex of your "A game" if not, every time you see him, he'll point this out by making judgmental comments about your appearance. This is the ultimate Abuja fuckboy. A fuckboy will want you to constantly be on point even when you are going to weed grass. Some will say you look like an ugly man without makeup, in the end making you lose your self confidence and esteem. Run away from these type of fuckboys. They'll just drain you of your energy and esteem, after all It's not a bad thing to appear natural once in a while. But while a real man appreciates your flaws and all, an Abuja Bleep boy will always be a Bleep boy. You can read it here too http://blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=72 Find more interesting articles here http://www.blueink.ng/

A daring teenage boy in Australia earned the nickname "snake boy" after pulling a large snake from the undercarriage of an SUV. Video uploaded by Yogi McDougall from Queensland shows the teen Oli Wardrop pulling the lengthy snake from underneath the vehicle before leaving for school. The teen wrestles with to grab the snake by the head as it begins to slither its way up and into the vehicle while his father lay on the ground holding a hook and grabbing the snake by the tail. "I've got the head," Wardrop eventually proclaims. He then proceeded to pull the snake out with a gloved hand placed firmly around its head, as he carefully place the snake in a large bag. Onlookers congratulated Wardrop for his bravery and skill as he was rewarded with a handshake from his father. "That's my boy. Been wrangling snakes since he was five," his father said. We don't know if it's the recession but Abuja runs girls are gradually taking the bull by the horn. I was talking to a friend recently and he was telling me of his encounter with one of these girls of easy virtues. According to him, he met this girl at the club obviously while hunting for the perfect girl for the night. Maybe because she noticed he was spending heavily she followed him without bargaining. They got home and he had the wildest sex of his life. seriously when he was describing the rough delicious sex it was like the one Vybz Cartel always sings about and I was having mini spasms down south. According to him, she gave the best BJ he ever had (whatever BJ means don't ask me, let God just save us) the girl bleeped him silly till he was wasted. After the much much spending the previous night he had just 5k and the girl wouldn't accept it because she was expecting like 40k or so. Obviously because he seemed like he had money and she gave her one in a million performance. Unknown to him she had his phone just in case he couldn't pay her balance. On the other hand he was planning....... http://www.blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=71 http://www.blueink.ng/

Tired of having to choose just one single photo that perfectly captures an event, memory or moment to share on Instagram? The popular photo-sharing platform has rolled out a major new update on Wednesday to address that very struggle with a new feature that users will either love or hate, depending on who you ask. With the new update 10.9 for iOS and Android, you can upload up to 10 photos and videos from an event, holiday or moment to a single Instagram post which followers can then swipe through to see the additional images. The new feature is similar to the galleries on Facebook and the "carousel ads" on Instagram. "Share your favorite moments of your best friend's surprise birthday party, from setting up to when they walk through the door," Instagram said in a blog post."Or create a step-by-step cake recipe that people can always find on your profile." http://www.blueink.ng/newsdetails.aspx?id=3894 http://www.blueink.ng/

Twitter has got a new tactic to put away the online bullies. The Twitter timeout feature will restrict the abusive online users. The company might also block the account if it finds any comments offensive. Only the followers of the banned account can see the tweet until the ban is lifted. Last week on February, Twitter started temporarily limiting the accounts. A lot of users were restricted for a temporary period. They took screenshots of the messages Twitter sent them. According to the message they violated “company’s content rules.” There is 12 hours restriction on the account. Before 12 hours, they cannot tweet. But this ban will vary depending on the behavior of the offender. A statement on the Twitter website explains these temporary timeouts will create a safer environment on the social network. There is no explanation about how Twitter detects if an account will be temporarily restricted or entirely suspended from Twitter login. I read a “story” on the internet today, and the caption was why all men are scum. To be honest, before I read the story, I thought it would be a story of a woman lamenting on how some guy stole her money, got her knocked up and walked away. To my surprise, it wasn’t. it was actually a guy who was telling this story. The nature of the story had me low key confused about why the story was about men being scum. So, here is an abbreviated version of the story. This guy had a girlfriend, who he dumped for another girl. Claiming he loved this other girl. So they got together, but service separated these two folks and during that time they both cheated on each other. In spite of this, they decided to stay together and after service, they moved back to the same city. He got a job first and was making a lot of money, the job however put him in the lime light and he had lots of women coming after him. He was committed to his girl though, so he ignored all the women and focused on his job. He, for some reason lost the job and lost a lot of the money he had. His girlfriend then got a job and he explained to her that he was in a tight position and needed her help. At the end of the day, she was working in this company, getting lots of money, while he was still jobless, and spending money he didn’t have on her. She stopped giving him attention...... read the rest here http://www.blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=61 http://www.blueink.ng/

I was kinda thinking of what my next entry for blueink.ng was gonna be when I stumbled on the new Airtel Nigeria advert titled 'Life Without Data'. The advert stars Gabriel Afolayan and he was very outstanding. Youtube adverts can sometimes be annoying and most times I don't hesitate to click the 'Skip Advert' button once the countdown is done but on this very day, for some strange reasons, after the countdown I allowed the advert to keep playing. I don't know if it was the Asa sound track playing in the background or not but from the word go, the advert caught my attention and held it. The advert is creative, simple and also very funny so it was definitely a very good advert. But what really make for a good advert? A good advert : has to be memorable has to make you laugh has to have something you can relate to has to have a clear cut message has to be professional. The advert is two minutes long and that's too long for a modern day advert. A marketing pro once told me that human attention span these days is very short and that's why most adverts are seconds long. Unlike in the past when adverts were 4 to 5 minutes long. This supposedly long advert has been viewed over five hundred thousand times on Airtel youtube channel. The most viewed content on that channel to date. So this advert is great! Or so I thought, initially until I got to the tail end of it then I saw it. Continue here http://blueink.ng/articledetails.aspx?id=60

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has suggested that it was wrong for Chelsea coach Antonio Conte to keep Nigeria captain, John Obi Mikel in the cooler following his decision to play for the Nigerian U-23 team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Rohr who was speaking in Uyo yesterday disclosed that Mikel was in top form, but was only being ignored by Conte because of his decision to travel to Rio. “I cannot punish a player who loves his country and shows that he loves the Green jersey. “I spoke about this with Mikel and the club’s technical director (Michael Emenalo). Mikel is training very well and he plays games in training with the big players at Chelsea. “There is a reason why Mikel is not playing for Chelsea right now and that reason is because he played for Nigeria at the (2016) Olympics. “He was punished for that,” said the coach who will be playing his third game with the Super Eagles against Algeria on Saturday. He said Mikel will play a big role in the game. “He (Mikel) is here with us and he is fit and I hope he can play for 90 minutes against Algeria but if it is not possible, we shall see. He is a big player so if he tells me on Saturday he can play for 90 minutes, great but if he says he cannot, then I will also listen to him. “I have big confidence in him and if he says ‘it is okay’, then it is okay but when he says ‘it is not okay’ then it is not and I will listen to him,” Rohr explained. http://www.blueink.ng/newsdetails.aspx?id=2674 http://www.blueink.ng/

Katung Aduwak will be the happiest person on earth to reconnect with the reality TV show that made him famous about 10 years ago when the new Big Brother Nigeria finally hits the screen again. Aduwak emerged winner of the show which also produced other notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu after a three-month stay in the house. He has since moved on, and made a name for himself after the show. But he has never been privileged to shake hands with his successor and MultiChoice Nigeria is providing the opportunity for him to do so, as it has announced plans for the return of the Nigeria reality TV show based on the Big Brother TV series. Now referred to as Big Brother Naija, the show will air on dedicated event channels on DStv and GOtv in January 2017. http://www.blueink.ng/newsdetails.aspx?id=2673 http://www.blueink.ng/
