I am interested, when was this not a case since the return to Civilian rule?

Aside Baba Oshio, and President Tinubu spent a lot of money getting the best Forensic officers from the UK to proof his irrefutable case, when have people rigging not enjoyed their spoils of Victory?

It's like we forget dark days of Obasanjo's PDP when election results were called while people were still voting.

I think it's getting better anyway because Peter Obí would not have defeated President Tinubu in Lagos which caused some serious panicking in Sanwoolu's circle over Chinedu Gbadebo's chances.
You want me to start laughing all over again -- over the sorry-state of our country, and how low we have gone??

My Guy, that we found ourselves in this mess already, does it then mean that we will remain like this??

I admire your optimism but what is going on today is institutionalized rot. Like I said before, even if the evidence is top-notch, they will still manufacture a "technicality" in order to sway the judgement in the favor of the "preferred" candidate. That is what it is.

IyaTola:
A Growing Moral Challenge Among Secondary School Girls

A disturbing incident recently occurred in a secondary school that calls for the urgent attention of parents and society at large.

A female student in SS2 committed an offense that led her teacher to discipline her. During the process, blood was unexpectedly seen dripping from her arm. She was taken to the principal’s office, where she was asked to remove her shirt.

To everyone’s shock, it was discovered that the bleeding came from an implant device lodged in her upper arm.

The implant, medically known as a contraceptive device, is designed to prevent pregnancy during sexual intercourse. Once inserted, it can remain in the body for up to three years.

Upon questioning, the student confessed that she was not the only one carrying the device. A school-wide investigation revealed that at least 40 female students were found with similar implants.

This raises critical questions:

What business does a girl under the age of 17 have with such a device?

How did these secondary school students gain access to it?

What is the role of medical practitioners inserting such devices into minors?

The implications are alarming. If left unchecked, this trend threatens the moral upbringing of children and the future of our society. Parents cannot afford to remain silent.

The Role of Parents and Society

Parents have a divine and moral duty to nurture, monitor, and guide their children. Failure to do so not only leads to societal decay but also carries accountability before God.
Equally concerning is the role of health workers who administer such implants to underage girls. By doing so, they indirectly promote immorality and compromise the values of the younger generation.

Way Forward
Parents must intensify close monitoring of their children, both at home and in school.
Open communication between parents and children on moral, religious, and social issues must be prioritized.
Community leaders, religious leaders, and schools should work together to restore discipline and moral guidance.
Where possible, girls who are of age and have responsible suitors should be encouraged to marry, as marriage helps curb immoral behavior.
What was once thought to be a challenge only among university students is now creeping into secondary schools. This calls for urgent action from parents, schools, health authorities, and society at large. The moral future of our children depends on the decisions we make today.
The Decay.!!

The Moral Decadence.!!

When we say democracy is failing, people think we are abusing the President.
Not at all....
If the Military takes over today, the Legislature and Executive will go, but the Judiciary remains.

When people say our democracy is failing, it is the strength of our Judiciary we talk about. If you have a disciplined Judiciary, even the President will sit up, Governors will not misbehave because they know when it gets to higher Courts, the issues will be handled without fear or fervour but now, lose and go home.

See people were screaming that the workload on the Supreme Court is too much that's why they rush and all that, now they are a full bench of 23, first time in the history of this Country, yet the emergency rule issue with Rivers does not even have a date.

We have criminal and civil cases piling in the Supreme Court but Fubara/Rivers Assembly issue which is not pre-election overtook them and judgement pronounced in 14 months. When last did you hear SC judgement but they are all there waiting for the FG to tell them what to do. I am particularly perplexed with Kekere-Ekun who is the last member of the old guard, the ones following her are no-go area, terribly worse off

Once the Judiciary sits up, every of our governance including INEC will do same, otherwise we are on "as you were".
I just don't want to cry.!!

This is just so depressing.!!

The reason Yakubu succeeded in 2023 is because he told the world that results will be transmitted electronically, eliminating any chance of rigging, and we believed him. Hence, no one was prepared for any alternative outcome.

But do you really think Nigerians will be ready to tolerate that kind of rubbish again in 2027?
So, I ask again.
Is there anything that would be done differently this time around in order to prevent the writing of fake results, and results-manipulation??

So u mean if someone kills my cat, i take him to court, during pre-hearing, me and the killer should agree on something so the case can go on.
Like the respondent fit say, i didnt kill ur cat, i just hit it with a stick, so the pressure from the stick made the cat to die.
The petitioner which is me needs to agree on this so the case can go on without issue.

Op dah, see cruise
(the emboldened)

This thing you wrote up there is the actual hearing.

During Pre-Hearing, the Petitioner/Plaintiff and the Respondents/Defendants would argue extensively on the types of exhibits to present and how they would be presented, and every other procedures which they think is necessary for the case..
Then, the Judge(s) would rule on each of the matters which were brought up for discussion during the Pre-Hearing..
Whatever the Judge(s) rule(s), that's what the parties must agree to.

In the Pre-Hearing, the main subject of the case is not treated in any way.

As much as Jega is praised, INEC under him wasn’t perfect either. They were simply overwhelmed and couldn’t help but declare Buhari.

That’s what everybody interested in rescuing Nigeria should do. From the coalition to all political parties and every Nigerian.

The strategy should be to overwhelm INEC until they have no option.

If you are hoping to get institutional reforms from Tinubu by analyzing Supreme Court judgments and requesting INEC to follow their own guidelines, you go wait tire.
Talking about Overwhelming...

Prof Yakubu was also overwhelmed too..
... overwhelmed with lots of fake results which got up to his table from the lower levels, and he declared them like that.

So, I ask again.
Is there anything that would be done differently this time around in order to prevent those written fake results from being brought to the table of the final announcer?

(As for me, I have some ideas which I am still testing.. I will not announce it yet, until I'm done testing, AND THE RESULTS ARE GOOD)
