Oyiboman69:I actually spread the money like that because of people wey go talk say the money no reach. The last one I got was 219k when I saved for about 7-8months before opening. I posted that on my other NL account (but I don't think I remember the password) and someone called me a a liar for saying that the money was up to 219k because I join everything together and it looked small because of the way I snapped. U know say people sabi argue wetin dem no get proof of |
PerfectStranger:Hahahahahaha... I go slam you for ground one hand. |
ravensckar:You're right. Adequate planing reduces prayer points. Lots of people are too lazy to chart a course that'd enable fix their financial issues. They'd rather rely on last minute miracles. The fear of embarrassment from another human wouldn't even let me think of begging as an option to raise money for stuffs. |
ItsGoodToBeGood:Someone told me sth and it was a great advise. she said I should always force myself to do things. Even this one na force I take do am. |
Sucre6:Lol Thank you brother |
ITbomb:Handwork. People dey underrate handwork people well well. Any handwork go give you money for Abj. Any handwork at all. I get more than 1k. Na me decide dey save that amount. Sometimes I can get close to 30k in a day |
Omihanifa:Thanks |
Hello guys so I moved into a new apartment late last year which cost 300k - a mini one bedroom flat in Abuja. I knew I had to become more serious about saving or else me and landlord go get problem at the end of the year .... Just like always, I do my calculations before taking any step and then I start saving. My former place cost 140k (a self contain) I needed more space so I had to move into my current place. Although it's not too big but since na only me, e dey ok. However before moving in I calculated how much I'd have to save to meet up because I don't like the idea of having to run around like a headless chicken when my rent is due so I always start saving the very day I renew my rent anywhere. It has really helped me. My calculation was that if I could save 1k per day I'll definitely meet up by God's grace before the year runs out. Some days I put in 10k or 5k or even 1k depending on how much cash I have at hand while the money transferred to my bank account remains untouched except for important spendings. I still have a month plus before my rent expires but I just started having this strong feeling to break the box open and I did tonight. What I got when I counted...... N343,500 ![]() I spread the money for people wey wan count. Although there was no space enough to properly spread so some are ontop others in twos and threes. I couldn't capture the whole money well because space no too dey and I'm not a professional photographer ![]() I'll be sealing the box to begin saving from today again if I get cash. It's fun but very stressful and draining. Not for people without self control. Lol Lots of people don't know the power of consistently saving in bits for a long period of time. If you're in that category, I hope this helps.

So I joined my colleague on his way home in his car and at a point his car started showing sign of insufficient fuel on his dashboard. Being a learner, he was really scared and I advised that he pulled over and get some fuel since he believed that his car may get stuck on the way because we were in heavy traffic and his fuel was being drained. Now here's the thing... We had already passed a couple of gas stations while driving before he noticed he was short on fuel. When he eventually pulled over, I took the jerrycan and walked down some distance to the other side of the road and told them our car wouldn't move due to insufficiency of fuel and I was in desperate need of some fuel but the attendant refused vehemently saying that they do not sell to customers in jerrycans. I talked and talked and he refused. At a point, a motorist pointed me to where the manager was and told me to go talk to him... Na that one bad pass sef... Before I could open my mouth to talk, he had already said no to me. When I took time to explain the situation and how desperate we were for some fuel he even became fierce and said no still, and went ahead to tell me he may even lose his job if he dared sold to me in a jerrycan no matter the situation. Truth is I was shocked and I still do not know why some gas stations turn down customers (who apparently aren't 'black-marketers) down when they seek to buy fuel in jerrycans for either their car or generator set. Isn't it same money they'd collect if sold directly to people who drive directly into the gas station to buy? This had always puzzled me. |
muzilala:You're absolutely right. From my experience as a Christian, it takes more than threats to make one become saved. People are yearning for deeper relationship and intimacy with God and he's busy threatening them with hell. I don tire for the guy matter |

Oga go find chair sit-down. Na una type dey carry denomination for head but have a heart of stone. |
Uprightness100:With the way you go about preaching doom, I don't believe you have any reasonable thing to say. Even God Himself wins the heart of men through the message of love and persuasion. You think your stupid message on hell scares people here? You must be joking! The truth is that if you are really deep in God, hell and threatening will not be the only message you have. When I became born again it wasn't the message on hell that converted me. As a matter of fact, everytime I heard the message on hell, at first I became remorseful but after I step out from that vicinity, I continued in sin. When God finally arrested me, the message had absolutely nothing to do with hell fire and guess what? I only listened to a tape in my room broke down in tears and got converted. I know Chosen members... They don't attend other churches no wonder you're stuck in your doctrine of doom. You better do yourself good and mingle with other Christians so that you can liberate yourself from this dooms-day-only-doctrine which you hold dearly. |
nenyewrites:Na breakup? |
nenyewrites:U ended up not answering the question. Of cos there's a Nigerian context of feminism. Everything Nigerians copy from the West, they blow out of proportion. You may be tempted to wanna give me the dictionary definition of feminism as it were but please tell me one Nigerian babe who is a real feminist in the sense of the word. Here it simply means challenging the authority of a man to prove a point. If you're not married, try telling every single man you go out with that you're a feminist. I dare you to just mention the word and see where the relationship leads to. |
nenyewrites:Please define feminism in the Nigerian context since you believe I'm wrong. |
Lisaint:Bro enter any site and offer to assist any of the artisans there. In the end ask them to teach you their work. I'm a graduate too but I'm an artisan and I'm never broke. If I tell you how much I make in a month you may think I'm lying. |
FinallyFamous:@bolded you're 100% right! I've carefully observed that women are like children who want everything the see. First they collected boxers from men, then trousers, then our jeans, then our shirts, suit, sneakers and even dared to fight over our beloved agbada and now they want our God-given authority. I port any man that parts with that in the name of being romantic or sensitive. Your life will never remain same. On the other hand a man wants just the simple things of life and peace most importantly. There's no end to what women want. |
nenyewrites:What's feminism for most women? Isn't it all about power, control, being in charge... Now which man in his right senses will wanna be with such a woman who enjoys her space and also wishes to subdue him by taking over his authority? Where does that leave her in the end? Being alone of cos. If u see truth dey talk am. You don't die. |
Shukusheka:Not everyone has a penis problem |
Mercychen:If you're saying that you can't do without a man it's either you've had your heart broken several times or betrayed at the last minute by someone you were totally into or you're a lesbian. No sane woman with working brain and organs won't desire a man. You're talking about self control? Keep punishing yourself and calling it self control. God wey create male and female for companionship no wise abi? Continue... E go clear for your eyes |
InTheCloudySky:Babe get a life seriously! U think everyone here is a kid? Do you know the calibre of people I meet everyday due to my nature of job? You're really funny I must say |

Hello guys, just to bring to our notice a new scam I experienced yesterday A young guy saw me somewhere I went for a job and approached me for help. Immediately I saw him, I sensed that he was no good but I decided not to assume (now I regret that decision.) He said his phone was down and needed me to help him order Bolt ride if I had the app on my phone. (I had done such favour for a person before and it went well) I still didn't trust him but I decided to help nonetheless. I obliged him and he thanked me after which he asked for the details of the vehicle. I told him the colour and Reg number and then I went in to do the job that I came for. After about 40 minutes I got a message saying that the trip had ended and the fare was N1,200 . I was glad I helped out since I believed that everything went well. Well, guess what? I got a text around 8pm from the driver I believe, saying that he still hasn't received payment (I think the guy promised to make a transfer to him and probably asked him to send his details.) I only received the text saying he hasn't been paid but no account number was attached meaning that the dude may have actually given him a different phone number to send his details to and maybe when he discovered that he had been played, he decided to contact me since it was my number that he saw on the request page. He also called me several times but I wasn't aware my phone was ringing. When I called him back, told him that I got his message and that it's obvious he had been played, he wasn't happy. I told him that I only assisted the guy in booking for bolt ride since he said his phone was down and that I wasn't the one he picked. He confirmed what I said, saying the guy told him same story about his phone being down and that he promised to make a transfer. Now here are some questions that ran through my mind as I thought about the whole thing yesterday: 1. Why didn't he ask for the guy's name before picking him up? It's not enough to say "hi, are you Mr./Miss A or B?" Of cos the person will readily say yes. 2. If they cannot confirm the name/phone number on the request, they may be a security threat to you if you go ahead to pick them. 3. Why agree to a transfer when the customer told you his phone was down? That's not smart. 4. What stopped you from calling the number who ordered for your services when the customer started acting funny? I just pity the bolt guy yesterday because I know how painful it must have been offering services and not getting your money. If someone insists on making a transfer to me after working for them, I insist on waiting for them to make the transfer rather than sending my details and I also hang around and initiate discussion until I confirm payment. I learnt my lesson the hard way. If you get your money from the street, you must be street smart in order to reduce losses. Modified: some people have pointed how that what I did was quite dangerous. Truth be told, they're totally right. Like someone said... What if the driver was killed? It would have been traced back to me. All I did was help. No more offering of assistance to strangers anymore. Lesson learnt. |
