Hey guys na me again...
So as usual, I went to attend to a customer today. After I was done, she was super excited and impressed considering how that I was able to come over to her place and do her job despite the fact that it was quite late and already past my official closing time. She was really jovial and really really funny, cracking jokes all the way as I did my Job. I laff tire. (See ba to be honest, women wey grow up for Yankee no dey form. They're really good at communicating with people and that for me is really cool.)

Ok back to what I was saying... After cracking some jokes, she paused to ask if I was married. I said not yet. She asked how old I am, I told her. She asked if I am looking for a wife? I said yes. She assured me that I'm going to get a good one hopefully. At this point I told her that I'm not sure about that seeing that most babes we have now aren't really cool headed and interested in being in a decent relationship. I went ahead to tell her how I heard a babe talking to someone how that she's not interested in marriage, that she just wants a child and she'd be fine. It is a bad idea to have anything to do with a cultist, there is no such thing like a 'cultist with a good side'. It is all bad and will end in premium tears to the unlucky. We have heard instances where innocent people get killed by rival cult groups just because they are related or in a relationship with a cultist.

Sometime in 2010 my ancestral home almost got burnt down because my cousin was a cultist and a rival group had come to kill him but he escaped and luckily for my aunties they ran with their own lives in there hands.

Because of this i have cut every form of communication with him in the last 11years, and that is the best decision i have made.

Thanks babe... I had to tell her that I can't be friends with her anymore and despite the words she put up in her defence such as that she only uploaded the song on her DP to warn someone who is an Aye but was trying to outsmart her, and several other excuses, I still insisted that I was no longer interested in being friends with her. I really liked her before the incident because of how industrious she was but after that incident all the likeness vanished. She further told me in her defence that her bf, elder bro and people surrounding her are all Ayes but she's not one. I didn't even argue with her I just told her I'm no longer interested in being her friend because there's so much mystery surrounding her and it was difficult for me to predict her actions and that makes her dangerous. Hello guys I've been following this thread for a long time now and reading carefully. Haven't gotten to the end of the thread though. I'm taking my time. In your case , you need the car to do your job , so it is not a misplaced priority if you get a car and thereafter plan to build. Your car will also help your business to grow faster but it also comes with additional responsibility of fuelling and maintenance .

A house you live in is not an asset. It can only be an asset when it is an income generating business or the value you get in return year in year out far outweighs the cost you pay to rent a house.

First in this scenario, building a house is a lose-lose. With whatever money he is saving(3000*30days=90,000*24months) N2,160,000. I am sure he is going to be building a house in an extremely remote area of Abuja if not a village completely outside of Abuja.

I.e means he is going to be far away from his potential customers which means extended travel times, potential loss of customers and patronage because of distance. This is very valid. We don't give jobs out to a backup HVAC technician anymore because he moved to Ikorodu. His lead time was way above what we could accommodate(we needed someone who could come in in 30 to 1hour max during a need) and i am sure he must have lost other potential customers because of same.

Even if he rents out the house, i am sure a house in such remote areas with the funds used to build would not fetch him more than 150k in a year as rent.

Compare that to the stress he is undergoing, risk of accidents, loss of income and no one needs to tell you to get the car to enhance your business needs.

A car used to facilitate a business or means of income is part of cost of doing business and not a "liability". As long as the cost of purchase and maintenance is not above the "expected returns" from such enhancement.

i think the main issue here is that you prepare for appointments late,prefer to trekk distances that you should've either entered a bus or used a bike, and don't tackle your tasks on time until it gets to the agreed date (this is common among artisans in this country. it's like you all are in the same whastapp group).

stop over trekking,
prepare for appointments on time,
try to finish your tasks before the agreed date.

these will help you to have a relaxed body and mind.

The above assumptions are wrong. Truth is that trekking is a way of saving money after completing jobs or when the distance to customers house is about 15 minutes or less when going for jobs. If I were to use taxis everytime I won't have any savings because of how expensive it costs. And it's not every area that have bikes especially VIP areas.

I am an artisan in Abuja who works under a reputable company as a freelancer. My job entails me moving around much everytime. I've done this for years now and to be honest it's really affecting me. The stress of trekking, getting into vehicles and alighting incessantly is really wearing me out. I'm thinking of saving 3k per day for about 2 years to get a car to help ease my movement because in the past and even now, I've lost some customers due to my inability to meet up with some appointments. Most times I get home really exhausted not necessarily because of much work but because of the stress involved in getting to customers' houses and returning again daily.

Now here's the challenge... I planned on getting a land and start building soon before the idea of getting a car came up due to much stress of moving about. I'd really love to own my own house.
