I disagree with you.
For sure,People have always been getting visas but don't downplay the racketeering going on in the consulate and the unnecessary denials that people on this thread have gotten when they submitted the right documents.
tannystacey:
Just here to say that don't believe every negative rejection story you read on this thread about SA visa.

There is always a reason why visas are rejected, but in the midst of all that, a lot of people still get their visas approved. Someone just got a multiple entry visit visa within 2 weeks of applying in Lagos.

No lobbying or any settlement.
Applied, submitted all required documentations without fabricating anything. Booked hotel reservations and flights.
The person submitted payslips for 6 months, bank statement with less than 200k sef, but added a dom account statement. Not sure it mattered but the person sha submitted every proof of funds.

The moment you suddenly add funds to your bank account before applying for visa, its already a red flag especially for visiting visas.

If you're employed, add all the required letters from your employer confirming your leave and purpose of visit. If you are self employed, add all the required documents supporting your business. Then stay positive and optimistic.

Then pray for favor. People are getting visas but not all of them are on Nairaland.

All d best to those still expecting results.

CrimeThe Pressure Of Fraud Amongst Youths. by Blurpy(op): 11:25am On Dec 14, 2021
Back in the days I can remember, in my younger days, if it's heard that you're doing yahoo, it's a very big taboo. I remember it was called 419 then, nobody dares to come out openly and say he's a yahoo boy, not to talk of flaunting it as people do so now.
How things have so changed! The pressure is high, and the unemployment situation in the country isn't helping and the government is making things worse. Things like Banning of cryptocurrencies, Banning of Twitter, Further devaluation of the Naira, At a time I don't blame the large population of youths going into Fraud. If the country is good, people wouldn't think about it.
I traveled to South Africa earlier this year, I was surprised how their people lives, they are very satisfied and contented with what they have, money isn't worshipped as it is done here. I think that was how it was done in Nigeria before things got worse and the poverty rate increased, I could remember if a member of a family is making illegal wealth, the rest of the family would never take any gift from him and sideline him, but now, hahaha, everybody would like to be his friend to get money from him.
I studied a medical course and yahoo is trending amongst the students, even the graduated ones are into it fully, then I wonder were the country is heading to.
The pressure to use iPhone, buy trending clothes, visit places and chop life is real and causing youths into depression.
A young guy of 22 is also pressurised whether he will make it. Chai, this country tire me .
I just want to travel abroad where academic and career progression is recognised and rewarded.
A successful yahoo boy has a promising future than a First class graduate in Nigeria.

If you're sponsoring yourself, you have no problems
Teejay13:
Actually, I don't have the intension of going for a PhD there,

Rather, the plan is to use my MSc. Degree I'm statistics to boost my chances of applying for another Masters degree program in Data Science.

Please how viable could that be?
TravelRe: Does having an MSc. boost the possibility of one in securing a US|Canadian visa? by Blurpy: 8:55am On Dec 13, 2021

Hi Blurpy,

The truth is, at the time of filling imm5645, we were not 100% sure what the phrase 'non accompany' meant. To us, it meant either 'not traveling on the same flight with' or 'not joining in Canada for the duration of study permit'. We were confused, but the VO, am sure, cannot buy our story now.

Now that the deed has been done, what is the way forward? I would be glad to hear from anyone found himself in a similar situation, but came out successfully. Or is my family the only one that used spouse and children as home ties?

The lawyer option would be costly o.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Blurpy: 11:44am On Dec 12, 2021
You listed yourself and children as non accompanying.
Is there a way to change that? Maybe through an immigration lawyer
folla:
Hi everyone,

My SOWP application and SP applications for my 3 children were refused sometime in September 2021. I applied for GCMS notes on October 1st and received the notes today (December 11th). It took about 71 days for the notes to arrive.

The VO's main reasons for refusal have been quoted below:

“Adult male and 3 children intending to join spouse/parent in Cda, currently in status studying a Masters. I note that spouse’s application was submitted.

On that application, husband and 3 children were listed as non-accompanying.

No guarantee that either will find work to support themselves and 3 children. Given that all deps were listed as non-accompanying and that SP adult recently arrived in Cda, I question the truthfulness of that original statement. Entire family travelling together reduces socio-economic ties to Nigeria. On balance, reviewing all documents before me including information available in the original SP application for adult female, I am not satisfied that PA would respect T&C of entry and leave Cda by the end of an authorized stay.”

Please, GURUS in the house should suggest how I can tackle the refusal reasons.

Please, if you have found yourself in a similar situation, how did you come out?

Thank you in advance of your useful comments.

(Pls note: Wifey travelled to Canny since early Septemer 2021)

CelebritiesRe: Mixed Reactions As Little Girl Dances To Bad Boy Timz's Song, "Move" (Video) by Blurpy: 8:24pm On Dec 06, 2021
Many Nigerians when growing up as a child did not have the opportunity to express themselves in extra curricular activities like dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, swimming etc. So when they see a kid doing doing such, they tend to frown on it. Little did they know that such talent are the expressway to everlasting wealth, the guardian of this child know this and are making a brand name for her already at a young age. Everything is not schooling and being bookish.

I see this girl capitalising on the game, I see her becoming a star entertainer. This I have seen.

Try entering some countries with that Green Pali. Dem go send you back at POE even with your visa sticker, na there you go know say Naija don cast

Everyone to their unique experiences. You can never take Nigeria out of someone so even though you have a foreign passport, you are easily identified as a Nigerian by your name, the way you speak, and how you comport yourself. I am also a frequent traveler like the OP, always proud of my green passport and I have never been treated negatively. I often hide my blue passport (US) unless I have to hold it for a check or something. Proud Naija always.

Ok Oga Cyprus
Charles61:
All these copy and paste bloggers grin. With no adequate research. Imagine talking about South Cyprus. Do you know that South Cyprus minimum wage is higher than Greece who is in Schengen country region.

South Cyprus (800 euro)
Greece (400)

My Greece colleague at work in south Cyprus told me, and this is the guy who had 7.6 in Electrical electronic and MBA in UK, so he had to run to South Cyprus for job.

Oga Romanian, Greece, bulgeria and UK are the major European workers in south Cyprus presently.

I had the best MBA which your country could not give to me, infact your number university no near my university in ranking. 450 in the world.

I payed all my expenses with my part time job, and still send little I can to my family.

Una go dey do copy and paste without adequate research. While foreign blogger would take there time to travel, get an adequate fact.

Nigeria ehenn. God will help our bloggers
TravelRe: Not All Countries Are Suitable For Migration As A Nigerian by Blurpy(op): 12:10pm On Nov 28, 2021
We are still on the same page, if you seek to migrate for economical reasons, do proper research and planning otherwise you'll still encounter worse problems than those you mentioned. Not just to travel to any country outside Nigeria
Saynoomore:
A majority, just like you, are getting the point entirely wrong! The desperation to leave the country, does not only stem from the desire for greener pastures or wealth, but for social security, feeling of safety, access to basic amenities, social welfare, quality healthcare etc. These basic amenities are increasingly getting out of the reach of not just ordinary Nigerians, but also out of the reach of even wealthy Nigerians as evidenced by the rich members of the society travelling out of the country for medical reasons! For others, the political instability and frequent terrorism from UGM, kidnappings, banditry, herdsmen, etc, raise fears for the future of the country and they want to get their children out of this hell-hole as fast as they possibly can.

So, it's not just for the money and good jobs! It's for the feeling of security, safety, and the assurance that they are in a society that works - one where they can find justice should they decide to seek justice for any reason!

Any country is better than Nigeria? Why do you guys keep pushing people into unknown suffering, do you know how many people languishing in foreign countries that are even looking for a return ticket to run back home? Nigeria is bad, Nigeria is bad but not everyone would Japa, People are still making money daily in this country, people are still becoming millionaires in this country, there's money in this country especially business. Don't push people to make life decisions without proper research and planning.
Johncables402:
What is your problem with Nigerians who want to leave this hellfire of a country?why are you this wicked? Any country is better than Nigeria right now, and you know we are the most hardworking people and we will become successful in any situation. Stop this negativity.
TravelNot All Countries Are Suitable For Migration As A Nigerian by Blurpy(op): 9:50am On Nov 27, 2021
The average Nigerian looks at any country that's not in Africa as better than Nigeria. This is not true, however living in Nigeria is easier and better than living in some of these countries abroad. The harsh living conditions, racism, scarce jobs, no one would tell you to run back home. I'm an active supporter of JAPA group but japa must be done with adequate and meticulous PLANNING coupled with self research on the internet, join forums , get information. Don't just leave everything into someone's hand especially a Non-regulated travel agent.

These countries are in no particular order.
Azerbaijan: More or less like AZZA-baijan. For the Azza boys. This country is as terrible as it sounds. I have a friend who was swindled by a travel agent to this country because it was in quote "in Europe".

Bulgaria: That a country is in Europe doesn't mean it is good to be in. If you wish to be safe in Europe, stick to the Schengen countries. Bulgaria is in Europe but not a Schengen country. Jobs opportunities are slim here. Money always develop wings like eye lashes.

Cyprus: As easy as admissions can be into this country( especially for Africans), this is not a place to be except you are from the Otedolas and you won't need to hustle while you school abroad. Job opportunities are few, the environment is naturally hard for a hustler in Cyprus.

Kuwait: Not every oil producing country get oil money. Kuwait has consistently been ranked as one of the least in the world for the ease of settling in. Most foreign residents say they do not feel at home. Heavy work with low pay.

Russia: Life can be a bit okay in European Russia (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi etc ). Many find it hard with weather and you can't live well without speaking Russian. Job opportunities are scarce and your skin colour is also a big factor.

Turkey: Turkey is an awesome place for business and tourism. But not everyone has found this country easy. It is one of the worst countries for foreign families and children. There are no clear pathways to settlement upon graduation. Jobs are scarce and it also reeks of political instability

Notable mentions.
Eastern Europe: Croatia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Serbia, Albania, Georgia

Asia & Middle East: India, Oman, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and all the stans

Most South American countries including Peru(Peru don dey para)

Ps:- Please note that this list isn't targeted at anyone. That a country is listed doesn't mean you may not be able to survive there. Majority of our data comes from world population rankings and real life experiences.
