I can relate. Primary education is very key and important, it determines the how intellectual a child will be in future. My primary school education formed me and made me who I am today, secondary school and university na mostly cruise as I had the brain already.

Find a good school and enroll your son, not all these schools that employ and exploit graduate to be paying then 20k ooh, I mean well renowned school with seasoned teachers who have core values.
Omo, till date, I still remember the lessons I had in my primary school vividly, but I barely remember the secondary school own.
It may not be cheap however but it's worth it .
All these kids that smash IELTS, TOEFL and get 9As in waec in their ss3 , it was due to quality education in their formative years.
Most primary and secondary schools in Nigeria now are just doing rubbish. No quality!

Lol,call on which government to act? The same Nigerian government gave them the leverage to act, they have their own cut from the racket. Isn't it Nigerians that met them to start the racketeering? Nothing media rants will do, all the embassies dey do Shakara for Nigeria so it's not even an issue. Have you heard of what Nigerian embassies do abroad? What about passport racketeering in immigration offices? Even Nigerian consulate in Johannesburg gan gan, the passport racketeering, there was a protest and media coverage of it with news all over but till now the problem isn't still solved. The corruption is from the top so if those at the top are corrupt, the citizens rant or media no go change shit. Even usa embassy nko , haven't you seen the article of how they make millions daily. Lol ...the country is trash, that's why.
In Kenya, Botswana, Ghana etc they don't pass through half of the hurdles we pass through to migrate, why? Because their country are ok and just few people migrate but here everybody wan travel so they treat us like shit.

Lion123:

Lol. Not necessarily. This is a story written by a Nigerian Journalist some time ago about the wickedness of the S.A High Commission in Nigeria -- https://www.icirnigeria.org/how-south-africa-denies-nigerians-entry-through-late-issuance-of-visa/

I only need to invoke this old article to trusted Nigerian media people to get them angry again, and tell them of the nonsense these S.A people are doing. Media in Nigeria is fraternal and these guys hate the S.A Embassy with so much passion because many of them have been on the receiving end of the wickedness of the S.A High Commission in the past. By the time 6 or more high profile outlets expose this S.A Visa racket and intentional deliberate withholding of passport and call on the govt to act, there will be results. You Nigerians just resign yourselves to nonsense and give up so easily and that's why govt and everyone keeps giving you nonsense. Keep giving excuses that everyone is corrupt and don't go and fight. I've fought many media battles over injustice and won...you have no idea. Stop being so defeatist and learn to take your chances in battle.

Instead of speaking curses that wouldn't work, why don't you withdraw your passport?
You're applying to where there's hiv rate , what irony
Lion123:
The bastards at the Abuja South African High Commission have held my passport for 2 months. I curse them. May the HIV rate in their country keep rising.

The minimum you would see is about 11k pounds which is above 9m already. Then you have to show funds to take care of yourself, your wife and three children which is 845 pounds per month per person and you have 3 kids which is 845 pounds ×9 × 3 kids...about 17m Naira Proof of funds just for children. Gracias!

You have spoken well
That johncables guy is not enlightened at all
Somandla:
The empty arrogance of most Nigerians beats me. As a professional who has lived in SA for 22 years, I have seen over the years how the reputation of Nigeria has gone down, thanks to the unending fraudulent activities of a lot of Nigerians. Drugs, internet fraud, and fraud in general.
In SA, senegalese people own shops and boutiques, I know Ghanian people who own good businesses. Manufacturing of products that occupy the shelves of chain stores. I have lots of friends who are building contractors and still continue to make good money doing clean legit businesses. Not to talk of lawyers, accountants, doctors etc.
The issue is that the Nigerians who do clean businesses and ply their profession are in the very very minority.
I as a Nigerian get panic attacks going into johannesburg cbd. If those Nigerians all over hillbrow are what Nigerians are made of, then I think South Africans are actually very patient.
Why do Nigerians find it soooo difficult to be part of a progressive society.
And please if you think white in SA like Nigerians, then you need a reality check. Whites are not willing to participate in addressing past injustices that the apartheid government did. They would make friends with anyone who speaks evil of the locals. Whites are hardly your friend...wake up!
Their distaste for you might be subtle..but don't get it twisted....who are you
If you are from Ghana, your SA visa application can be done online and an approval sent to you online, if you are from Benin republic, you do not need a visa to get into SA and I am sure it's like that with so many other African countries.
Instead of us introspecting, we cry foul...talk of jealousy...call indigenous people lazy...yet the evil that we do live with and after us.
Nigerians...., start by changing your orientation, to by pass the laws of a land and undermine it, is not smartness. To go to people's country and become human traffickers, drug dealers and internet fraudsters is not hardwork.
It's destroying those countries and creating problems for other well meaning Nigerians who want to migrate and be a progressive part of other societies and those who want to genuinely visit and explore other countries.
South Africa has its own problems...and has the citizens fight to rescue their country from high crime rate, employment and greedy politicians, Nigerians should not further burden their system or make the hurdle harder .
Dubai is an example... people would take steps to preserve their country..
African brotherhood should not destroy, it should build.

I've been seeing you on the Canada thread recently, you moved to Canada from Australia?
nuelnuel:
Australia is better for so many reasons
Australia has very nice weather compared to Canada where it gets extremely cold in Winter
Secondly, salaries are higher in Australia
Also the rate of unemployment is also lower in Australia so your chances of securing a job are higher in Australia. For jobs you can use seek.com.au and indeed.com.au
I am now making my final preparations before moving to Australia and I will get in touch with you

Shut up , you're just talking shit.
You keep saying blacks destroyed SA but they are doing far better than us in all spheres.
Infact if they give Nigerians that country, they will loot it to the core and run.
I'm a Nigerian, what have the Eastern governors done? The performance of Abia , Imo states are even amongst the worst in Nigeria. Anambra isn't developed. Bad roads everywhere. No go develop your own state first, mumu , you wan go manage SA, wetin concern you with their country.
Johncables402:

Yes,we can manage a country like South Africa better than those lazy blacks who have destroyed it. Wait till Biafra is realised, you will see a first world country in Africa, you mumus must let us go, your laziness is blocking the shine of the Igbo man.

It's the same discrimination for many Nigerians. I'm telling you those block head Zulus are wicked, the most wicked illiterates in Africa . Nigerians should boycott that stupid country and see how it will collapse and they will come begging us to go there again.

Travel / Beware Of Travel Agencies! by Blurpy: 11:24am On Oct 28, 2021
The hardship going on in Nigeria has made migration look like the only light at the end of the tunnel. This has birthed quite a number of travel agencies who help Nigerians with the travel process. While some of the travel agencies are legitimate and may have the right connections to get a visa easier and quicker for you. Many are fraudulent and have mendaciloquence to obtain huge sums of money from unsuspecting people. These people go to the extent of even selling their family land and assets just to pay the agents and get the visa with the hope of getting work abroad and sending money back home. The thing is that the travel process looks complex but actually it is not complex , you just need to calm down, research and read and obtain knowledge. Information is power.
Imagine this poster below advertising a sponsored work permit into Canada, something that is not possible, what skills do you have that any Canadian doesn't have that would make a company sponsor you all the way from Africa? When there are lots of Canadians, Americans, Indians, Chinese even Pakistanis and Bangladeshis including Africans over there too?
People have been misled and duped severally in Nigeria.
Beware of agencies! Especially like those in the picture attached.
It's best to due diligence and DIY.! To avoid stories that touches the heart. If you must use a travel agent, for example for Canada, use a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant. They are verified on the IRCC List. They are not cheap though. They won't fraud you because they wouldn't want to risk their license.
Meanwhile, not all countries are worth travelling to, research very well on the country, countries like Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Belarus, Albania etc shouldn't be travel options to Nigerians as greener pastures.
I come in peace.

I can't argue with someone with your kind of reasoning. It's a waste of time wink
Johncables402:

You are a liar . Me I lived in that country for years ,I know the blacks don't like school and the whites don't allow them in their school unless they are Zimbabweans, somalians or Nigerians . Those black only know how to do menial job only and they see foreigners doing well and get jealous and stupid. The whites there gave those people everything to be successfully but they chose to be lazy and drunkards . Useless set of people.

Bro easy, I said I was there in March, I even went to polokwane and mafikeng in North West province, there are no naked people and Nigeria is not any better. They have social welfare, insurance and credit system, not to talk of electricity, road and healthcare they enjoy that we still dream of. These things were built by whites but still managed since 1994 till date by blacks... so?
Lol...bros no dey lie na..I didn't see any naked person at Or Tambo,I understand your pain but be logical. This is not an SA thing, it's difficult for a Nigerian to go to any better country now without thorough scrutiny, our passport no get level again.
Try entering Namibia or Botswana, you go know say SA xenophobia dey learn
Johncables402:

If you visit the place you will know better . See my friend, I lived there for many years and I know what I'm talking about. You are talking about things you see on tv that are lies,go to the airport first and see Zulu primitive people with no clothes on and you will see how uneducated these people are . I travel everywhere there even to the villages, so I know the place .
