Nigerian government to speak out ? 😂 😂dey play😂
Myst77:
There was an earlier post on this platform about an academic research visa applicant who applied in Jan 2022 and got denied, I think this month - that’s 1 year waiting period. One can at least stomach the long wait if a positive outcome is certain but that’s unfortunately not the case.

Everyone that has been waiting, hang in there. SA embassy/DHA has been like this for many years. Sometimes, the process improves when they have cleared the backlog but, then another backlog occurs and back to the same problem. We really need the Nigerian government to speak out! Kenya and SA recently signed an agreement allowing Kenyans to visit SA without visa for 90 days. It’s like our Nigerian passport has completely lost its value due to the incompetence of our leaders. It is well.

If you need link in getting tourist visa from Nigeria, send a pm before you apply.
Not free though. The consulars in Abj aren’t smiling.

Good evening all, I just arrived in Birmingham one week ago for my msc. I’m currently looking for job to keep soul and body together. I’ve been applying on indeed with no success. I’d need help with getting pointers and contact with agencies.

My experience with the SA eVISA:

My wife and I applied for the SA Single Entry Visit VISA through the VFS eVISA route, and our applications were rejected. I am still trying to make meaning out of their reasons, though, and I will be glad if experts in the house can assist.

I was the primary applicant, and my wife was the secondary applicant. I submitted my statement of accounts for PoF, which has sufficient funds in Naira and USD for the two of us, and the reasons we got were:
1. Primary Applicant: I should report to the High Commission for the verification of my statement of account
2. Secondary Applicant: The PoF provided was not in the Applicant's name, even though she is not the Primary Applicant/Sponsor.

What I did after the rejection letter:
1. Sent an email to Appeal to VFS and copied all other SA High Commission-related email addresses stating with more than 7 reminders, but there was no single response.
2. Visited High Commission in Victoria Island with the hard copies of my Statement of Account - I met with the Security guards, and I was told that the staff of the SA High Commission has stopped working from the facility for some time. I was told they mostly work from home and sometimes work from VFS. I got an email address of a member of staff of the commission for follow up, and the 'fellow' refused to respond to all my emails.
3. I also visited VFS Lagos with the same documents, since they said I should report with the statement of account for verification and the hostile security guard at the gate did not want to reason with my request to access the compound so I could speak to anyone representing the SA Commission for the said verification. He was screaming at the top of his voice - "we don't verify statements of account, here", na so I turned back to my house ooo, it is not by force to go to SA.

I want to know if anyone has a similar experience and what I could have done as I still do not understand the reasons we got for the rejection.

They have suspended flights to SA
KazikageSama:
Maybe I should recomend Airpeace for you. My wife and kid travelled with them with E-Visa as far back as April, so I'm certain there would be a rouse. Moreover, it's cheaper than most

Nice thread you’ve done here Ramalot. I hope to be like you someday, I’m a healthcare professional but I’m switching to tech in order to be able to get that freedom to travel. Business analytics and cloud computing are on my mind for now. I’ve been to SA twice and I received a good welcome from their women( you understand). From your thread, Brazil would be the next place on my list. Once again, nice thread you’ve got here. I wish I could connect with you someday.

I haven't done extensive traveling in Africa, but I do know getting an identical standard of things cost more in Africa than SE Asia and LatAm.co.

The rich is Nigeria don’t even know how to enjoy their wealth. Mostly liqour, women and status activities.

What happens to exploring the globe in a yatch?
What happens to traveling and learning other cultures?

What exactly is the enjoyment?
