VolvoS60: ^^^^ This is incorrect. If it incorrect you should correct me, I based my conclusion on the article in question. |

VolvoS60: ^^^^ But what was the actual reason given in the notice of forfeiture? Was it tax evasion?
I urge you to read the whole article again. since the money was seized due to tax evasion it only logical to conclude the forfeiture is simply an acumulated tax with fine. |

VolvoS60: ^^^ I did read the article with an open mind but it leaves me with me far more questions than answers. I will repeat again: Do people just go round giving almost half a million dollars to the US government for no reason? Does Tinubu love Uncle Sam that much?
What exactly was the deal? he neglected to file U.S. income tax returns after 1984 despite having sizable, interest- generating deposits in American banks. It was on this account that his bank accounts were seized magistrate judge of the Northern District to issue seizure warrants for Tinubu’s First Heritage and Citibank accounts. Collectively, more than $1.4 million belonging to the Nigerian was confiscated There’s no evidence that Tinubu was ever indicted for any crime. He eventually settled with the district court, turning over $460,000 of the seized $1.4 million |

VolvoS60: ^^^^ I have no way of knowing if the notice of forfeiture of funds you referenced is a real court document. If it is indeed, then you need to clarify your claims that "he forfeited the money for tax evasion". (By the way, tax evasion IS a serious crime. Serious countries take tax evasion very seriously).
The notice of forfeiture states clearly that the funds were seized on suspicion of being proceeds of narcotics trafficking OR property owned in violation of certain sections of the US criminal code. Unless you are 100% certain that the stated sections refer to tax evasion, it is going out on limb for you to casually state that 'he forfeited the money for tax evasion'. (Again, I reiterate that tax evasion is a serious crime (in the US at least). It may not be in the same class as drug trafficking but it is definitely a felony with very serious consequences for offenders). read the article again with an open mind. |

Meanwhile an old post from saharareporters on the case => why can't they prosecute him? how will you link someone to a crime and you failed to prosecute him for the crime. |

dokyOloye: Not just involved but forfeited a large amount of money to escape jail, which in itself is an admission of guilt. he neglected to file U.S. income tax returns after 1984 despite having sizable, interest- generating deposits in American banks. All of this was enough to persuade a magistrate judge of the Northern District to issue seizure warrants for Tinubu’s First Heritage and Citibank accounts. When a person smokes marijuana, THC quickly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream. The blood carries the chemical to the brain and other organs throughout the body. The body absorbs THC more slowly when the person eats or drinks it. In that case, the user generally feels the effects after 30 minutes to 1 hour. THC acts on specific brain cell receptors that ordinarily react to natural THC-like chemicals in the brain. These natural chemicals play a role in normal brain development and function. Marijuana overactivates parts of the brain that contain the highest number of these receptors. This causes the "high" that users feel. Other effects include: altered senses (for example, seeing brighter colors) altered sense of time changes in mood impaired body movement difficulty with thinking and problem-solving impaired memory |

Nigeria is not mature enough for the legalization of marijuana. You talked about the merits of it legalization but failed to discuss the disadvantages of it, the health implication of excessive consumption of marijuana is terrible, a good example is majek fashek. I know atleast three people who had mental problems due to the excessive consumption beside this health implications there is no any control mechanism in this country. |

2sex: Some times you have to go with your guts. Nothing is guaranteed and never be scared of losing money. I gamble most time. In fact, the first $500 I made back in September 2012 was on the last and only cash I had. N10,000 I split in two. Paid for internet sub and was left with N5,000. Did my research, picked a name and sold it for $500 within 7 days. I would wager that it's more of adrenaline induced and closed to insanity. I hate being broke and hate it with passion. That's my drive.
One good aspect of my life is my thinking ability. I dare not think for too long without a solution popping up. I don't engage in too many talks, I am more of a mental speaker than audible. Research is the key bro. Research till you fall off your PC at 2 am Am trying to set up my godaddy auction account but am required to fill some payee informations before I can list domain. Must I have a domiciliary account before I can list domain or is there a way to bypass this. @chibenze,yommy123,oladayo042 |

Yommy123: Never Accept The First Offer...when someone puts an offer on the table, there's always a better offer behind it.
when you "reach out" to end-users, you need to give price.
don't play games
either they will accept the amount, make a counter offer or they will walk.
but nothing will happen until you step up
The best way to go about this is to say Thanks for your offer but We are accepting offers in the low four-figure which is btw. (1000 - 4500) ... feel free to shoot me a msg my broda. let me know how it goes
Good Luck! Thank you bro. I will pm you. |

Julius Malema was a man enough to face Zuma last night in the parliment and this is what he said..."You failed to whip your own son Edward into line yet you come stand here and tell us people must sign petitions that say NO XENOPHOBIA...u failed us and u failed the people who are in need of ur protection. Why haven't your son apologised for saying hate speech in public? Why haven't u ordered Zwelithini to go preach peace and love to his people? Or are u just a chameleon of note that waits to be told what to do first? Please pull yourself together" I respect u Malema
