A connection with the newly built Trans Adriatic Pipeline, which carries gas from Azerbaijan, and suppliers of liquefied natural gas that arrives by ship, likely to include Qatar, Algeria and the United States. During the opening ceremony for the Baltic Pipe on Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said: “The era of Russian domination in the field of gas is coming to an end, the era that was marked by blackmail, threats and extortion.” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that “It is vital that we work closely together in Europe to free us from Russian gas as soon as possible. Baltic Pipe is a big step in achieving this.” The Baltic Pipe natural gas pipeline from Norway to Poland via Denmark and the Baltic Sea was inaugurated on Tuesday by the leaders of the three countries, who hailed the new gas link as a crucial move to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian gas. The Baltic Pipe project, running from the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, crossing Denmark from west to east, and landing in Poland via the Baltic Sea, will bring gas from Norway – a staunch ally of the EU and Western Europe’s largest oil and gas producer – to Poland, which has for years sought to wean itself off Russian energy. Poland has been warning for years that Russian pipelines to Europe are undermining EU energy security and would be used for blackmail. Poland was one of the biggest opponents of the Nord Stream 2 project for another gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. Nord Stream 2 didn’t see the light of day after Germany axed the certification process after Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia, for its part, shut down Nord Stream 1 indefinitely early this month, claiming an inability to repair gas turbines because of the Western sanctions. The Baltic Pipe will be operational with partial capacity from October 1 and could accelerate full-capacity commissioning to the end of November instead of January 1, 2023, as planned, the Danish national transmission system operator Energinet said this weekend.

You're the ''slowpoke'' here Everybody can see the dastard acts of the US and aren't afraid to call it out but to you, that's ''anti-Americans'' It's going to take you forever to catch up. joyandfaith: |
I want to share your sentiment about Germany et al doing a u-turn BUT! You are more reasonable than these so-called leaders These people in power don't care about their people. Right now, protesters are demanding Nordstream 2 AND, the US will make sure they[EU] never return back to doing business with Russia CHECK out how the US took over soccer from the back door, buying up football clubs and getting nations to put rainbow flags on jerseys etc seunny4lif: |
The US sabotage of Nordstream 1 and 2 demonstrates how low the US is willing to go in its quest for world dominance. Only a state actor is capable of carrying out a terrorist act in the middle of the ocean. Consider what might happen if internet cables in the ocean are tampered with. The same people who brought you COVID considered it, and Russia was supposed to bear the brunt of the blame. Last year, the World Economic Forum teamed up with global banks to run a high-profile cyberattack simulation that targeted the financial industry, an actual event that would pave the way for a “reset” of the global economy. The simulation, named Cyber Polygon, may have been more than a typical planning exercise and bears similarities to the WEF-sponsored pandemic simulation Event 201 that briefly preceded the COVID-19 crisis. The World Economic Forum simulated a scenario in which the internet is shut down by an extremist state actor[...insert Russia]. A false flag operation occurs when a state commits an act while falsely blaming another state actor. You blame others for what you are doing or about to do. When Bashar Al Assad was accused of using chemical weapons, the US President bombed Syria without conducting any investigation. “A cyber attack with COVID-like characteristics would spread faster and farther than any biological virus” — World Economic Forum, 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0oZA1B3ooI |

Usually, when the US commits a false flag, they come out right away - ''Russia did it, Asad did it, Saddam did it'' Something is off, I'm thinking some EU members didn't get the memo ahead of time or are probably not happy BloomingDale:

European countries are investigating three mystery leaks in two major gas pipelines between Russia and Europe. The cause of the damage to Nord Stream 1 and 2 is unclear. Seismologists reported underwater blasts before the leaks emerged. "There is no doubt that these were explosions," said Bjorn Lund of Sweden's National Seismology Centre, as quoted by local media. Denmark's Defence Command has released footage of the leaks which shows bubbles at the surface of the Baltic Sea near the island.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told parliament on Monday he would hold "national consultations" in order to find out what the Hungarians really think about the sanctions imposed by the EU on Russia, the Magyar Nemzet newspaper reports. "The sanctions [against Russia] were introduced in an undemocratic way. It was a decision by the bureaucrats in Brussels, for which the European peoples are now paying. We need to know the opinion of the people. For the first time in Europe, in Hungary, we will ask for the opinion of the people concerning the sanctions. <...> National consultations will be launched. The Hungarian people will be able to express their opinion whether they support them and if they are in favor of introducing new ones," Orban said. He believes that the conflict in Ukraine would have been local, but the economic sanctions imposed by the West against Russia had lent it a global dimension. He called for getting ready to see protracted hostilities, adding that "the US and the EU are helping Ukraine with money, while Russia's resources are inexhaustible." Orban added that he was categorically against the "continuation and deepening" of hostilities and called for "immediate peace talks and a ceasefire." |
You're projecting ''uninformed/unsophisticated and mentally ill people'' Again, Bra, Stay away from CNN You're being manipulated. I was where you are right now way back in 2008 The same playbook that the Pentagon and CIA used during covid, they are also using against Russia but people like you can't see past your nose. It's about narratives. They banned doctors and everyone that spoke up against covid measures. They immediately banned Russia and everyone that asked questions. They were money-laundering in Ukraine and running bioweapons labs. The US wants to break up Russia and take over their oil/gas but they think we don't see what they're doing When you realize that you guys are not the good guys, it's going to suck so bad IjeBos: |

Nonsense, pure arrant nonsense I am more than two years old, Bro I lived through that era I didn't have to read much into the gibberish you just scribbled to know that you live in an alternate world. There was no pandemic, I said it from day one. I was called a conspiracy theorist. My posts were banned by NL Do you think you can put all the CNN talking points in writing and that gets to confuse reality? Some hope that we all have the memory of a goldfish, but we will remind those who support politicians who wreck economies that they are complicit. People who vote for corrupt politicians believe they will face no personal consequences. Are you better off today, than you were 2 years ago? Two years into Biden's government, do you think things will get better or worse? IjeBos:

A clip of former President Donald Trump arguing that the election of President Joe Biden would lead to a plummeting stock market circulated online on Friday after Wall Street saw a bloodbath. ‘If He’s Elected, The Stock Market Will Crash’: Trump’s 2020 Warning About Biden Comes True “They said the stock market will boom if I am elected,” Trump said during a 2020 presidential debate. “If he’s elected, the stock market will crash.”

Yea, sure! How does that make her "'right-wing'' though? Maybe look into why the left thinks they can tar and feather politicians who ''agree'' with them with such a label? 'Giorgia Meloni is an 'authoritarian nationalist' Hint: she's against LGBTQ and Elitist globalists ie WEF, etc People with a group-think mindset have problems with free-thinkers. It hurts their brain when they use it to think, so why bother when ''someone in authority'' can do the collective thinking for everyone ''We are wearing a mask, why won't you wear a mask, you think you're better than us? We got the jab, why won't you get the jab? We don't want you outside until you take the jab like everybody else'' ''What do you mean there's no climate change? We all need to stay on lockdown and eat bugs and stop driving cars'' Why would our government lie to us? They have no reason to lie to us!'' The West tells us who to be friends with as part of our foreign policy Bill Gates is a doctor and Fauci is a prophet It's either you're with us or you're against us'' You get the point though! In what many regards as election meddling, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has warned Italy of dire consequences if it votes for non-EU-favored parties. “If things go in a difficult direction, I’ve spoken about Hungary and Poland, we have tools,” she said. The EU's veiled threat to voters comes as Italians prepare to elect its first female Prime Minister. The EU introduced financial sanctions two years ago in response to what it says amounts to the undermining of democracy in Poland and Hungary. “The President of the European Commission suggests that if the Italians elect a government that Brussels does not like, they may have funds blocked,” Polish Deputy Justice Minister Sebastian Kaleta said on Twitter. “Further proof that the “rule of law” is pure blackmail to impose EU, or rather German, dictates. Such is “democracy”,” he added. Eric Mamer, the spokesman for the European Commission, told reporters in Brussels that von der Leyen had not been looking to interfere in Italian politics. “She was stressing the role of the Commission as guardian of the (European) treaties with regard to the rule of law,” he said on Friday. Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) party are set to gain 26.4% of the vote, according to an exit poll late Sunday night. The party is in a broad right-wing coalition with Lega, under Matteo Salvini, Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia and a more minor coalition partner, Noi Moderati. This alliance is set to win 44% of the vote, according to exit polls, enough to gain a parliamentary majority with the center-left bloc on 27.4%. Early projections from the actual election results are due Monday morning. |
In reaction to Tehran’s “unfriendly act” of supplying combat drones to Russia, Ukraine said on Friday that it had withdrawn the accreditation of Iran’s ambassador in Kiev and would “seriously reduce” the number of diplomats stationed there. ''kamikaze'' is a Japanese word for a sudden violent attack on an enemy, especially one in which the person or people attacking know that they will be killed. Kamikaze, were a part of the Japanese Special Attack Units of military aviators who flew suicide attacks for the Empire of Japan against Allied naval vessels in the closing stages of the Pacific campaign of World War II, intending to destroy warships more effectively than with conventional air attacks. The drone had an immediate impact and was a game changer on the battlefield, causing concern for Ukraine and its Western backers. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that providing weapons to Moscow “directly contradicts the position of neutrality, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, publicly declared by the top leadership of Iran,” calling it “an unfriendly act that deals a serious blow to Ukraine-Iran relations.” Iran has always disputed US allegations that it sold attack drones to Russia, which were made public in July. Social media has been flooded with images and videos purporting to show Russian soldiers in Ukraine employing a kamikaze drone called Geran-2 (Geranium), which is similar to the Iranian-made Shahed-136. Unverified footage from Odessa on Friday shows Ukrainian soldiers pulling out a different kind of drone from the Black Sea. According to reports, the drone resembles the Mohajer-6 observation station. Kiev has also purchased multiple strike drones from the Turkish company Baykar Makina. Ukraine is also seeking to build its own factory to produce the Bayraktar and Akinci UAV. Co-owned by the son-in-law of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Baykar has reportedly vowed “never” to sell drones to Russia. That has not stopped Moscow from maintaining diplomatic relations with Ankara, however.

A group of European Union nations pushed back against new guidance from the EU executive that they fear weakens sanctions and could allow countries to transport key Russian commodities such as coal globally. The transfer of goods including coal "should be allowed to combat food and energy insecurity around the world," the Commission said in new guidance. Member states including Poland and the Baltic nations criticized the EU’s updated sanctions guidance during meetings between European ministers, according to people familiar with the talks. The nations had asked the commission to withhold publication of the document until the matter was addressed. The new guidance from the European Commission, the bloc’s executive arm, says that the transfer of certain goods, including coal and related products, “should be allowed to combat food and energy insecurity around the world.” Previously, the commission said that its sanctions prohibit EU operators from transferring coal and providing services -- such as financing and insurance -- to all shipments of such products originating in Russia. The group of nations said they were left confused by the proposals and pointed out that the new text contained references to wood, some cement products and coal, the people said. Diplomats have asked the commission to further explain the proposed move, fearing it could go beyond the earlier food security commitments and effectively be watering down sanctions on those Russian commodities. Previously, European sanctions did not allow for EU actors to transfer or provide services for Russian supplies including coal. According to Latvia's Foreign Ministry, however, the fresh guidelines were not coordinated with member states, and were surprising. "The EU is fully committed to avoiding that its sanctions unduly impact trade in critical items to third countries around the globe," Commission Spokesman Daniel Ferrie said in a statement. "The financing, or provision of financial assistance — such as insurance or reinsurance — by EU operators for the transport to third countries of the products mentioned in our guidance note is also allowed." The Commission noted, too, that food and energy security remained a priority amid these sanctions adjustments, according to Bloomberg. None of the EU's sanctions are set to impact wheat or fertilizer, Ferrie added. Still, sources told Bloomberg that a group of nations were left confused by the Commission's proposals, and are seeking further explanations behind references to wood, cement, and coal in the report. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/european-commission-eases-coal-sanctions-on-russia-to-avoid-harming-energy-security/ar-AA125olb |
