dear bereta, i must really appreciate you for your comment. Am of the believe that your outpour is based on the book, The lord's generals: why some failed and others succeded. No doubt, i think thats the most widely circulated book on that subject. This are merely peoples opinion but have you tried to read facts by the very people who were with him? Men like oral roberts, t.l osborne, billy granham etc. No doubts his message was a break from the order of the day because he blasted the evil of the time and this made people to pitch against him and the cycle continues to this day. I still maintain my stand, am yet to see any preacher like him at least in the last hundred years. If he truly was ostentatious or whatever words attached to him are true, and yet still confirmed by God, i think we need more of them, i have his audio tapes and i must confess, they outclass our modern preachers sermon by ...far... baptism doesn't save you but keeps you safe. It is an answer of good conscience towards God. It is among the various phases of being born again as with natural birth. For those who are familiar with women's birth giving process; water breaks forth first then blood and the baby. Water, blood and life (spirit) as it typifies justification, santification and baptism of the holyghost. But the truth of the matter is, thats not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is a human number as declared in the bible represented by the number '6'. The mark of the beast is not a literal mark as widely believed. The bible siad in one part. 'ye have heard that the antichrist will come, know assuredly that he is already in the world'. God told the children of isreal to observe the day of their deliverance and it should be for a perpertual sign between their eyes(forehead) and on their righthand. We cant find any mark on the children of isreal today. That sign actually is our deeds and our actions and not actually some literal markings as christaindom believes today. But ask yourself ( God forbid) if you are alive at that time, will you give your self to be marked?. This is just a gimmick by the devil to decieve people. The antichrist will rise from the church.
