Who will blame this one claiming Ilorin to be a Muslim town? Is his relevance not derived from Islamic study?
As if the original settlers at Ilorin were not Yorubas before the Fulani tactical take over of rulership.
With the dominant role of North on Nigerian politics for many years, Ilorin was promoted above other towns and made Kwara State capital.

COPE AND SEETHE. ILORIN IS THE PROPERTY OF THE FULANI, AND YORUBA ARE SUBJECTS OF THE FULANI EMIR

What points do the pro-war faction make to support their position?
I am American so I'm not really familiar with Nigerian politics. The American media is drumming up suport against the junta in Niger by characterizing them as pro-Russia. What are they saying in Nigeria?

The current Nigerian president was once a drug dealer in Chicago. Look it up. He has a criminal record. Bola Ahmed Tinubu illegally became the president after rigging the election. The majority of Nigerians voted against he is the godfather of the current party that has impoverished the country for two consecutive terms. Besides, some of the message in his campaign was that he would continue from where his predecessor stopped. You can see why NO ONE would vote for that. Not to say that his tribes men didn't massively vote for him. But even in his home region, he lost his most important city (Lagos). Yet, he rigged his way into the presidency and is still contesting it in court till now.

The man has also demonstrated that he is a puppet of NATO and the EU. You and I know that the EU is a stooge of the US and your country is Anti China and Anti Russian in every way, and would go out of their way to go against anything and everything Russian or Chinese. France has bastardized it's former colonial regions in West Africa. Niger is the 5 largest producers of Uranium in the world, with France raking in 83% of the profit while the rest is given as aid (with interest and fees) to the Nigerien government, who being puppets would simply take their cut, plunging their nation into untold level of suffering. Now the west is completely comfortable with this dynamics so long as they benefit. But as the Wave of anti imperialist sentiment, which started as far back as the Vietnam war, it has finally reached the African continent and specifically, former French colonies.

Nigerians being neighbors to Niger are against our government being lap dogs to the West. Any conflict with Niger would not be resolved swiftly as the US war in Afghanistan, the Yemen conflict, and the Ukraine war has shown. We do not even have what it takes to shoulder such a drain on resources. THERE NEEDS TO BE MASSIVE PROTEST IN AMERICA THAT WOULD ENDEAVOR THAT AMERICA AND FRANCE RESPECTS THE WILL OF THE NIGERIEN PEOPLE (AFTER ALL THEY JUBILATED WITH THE MILITARY TAKEOVER) AND GET THEIR PEOPLE AND MILITARY OUT OF THE WEST AFRICAN COUNTRY.

The only thing Nigeria should do is shut our borders. That way it appears we are appeasing our western masters, since we are all slaves of the west. But we should also take part in the struggle of the developing world, you know Africa, the black race, BRICS, and other developing nations that the West and other imperialist organizations like NATO and the G7 benefit off of. We should still unofficially establish trade with them until Tinubu is toppled and replaced by a patriot and not a white man house boy. Any foolish low IQ idiot Nigerian that is backing this conflict is most likely as poor as dirt seeing as they don't have the mental capacity to see 5 feet in front of them much less envision the future. I'm not going to tell you the implications of Nigeria getting involved in this conflict because if you have the data to troll online, you might as well do a bit of research, if your low IQ brain will allow such a thing.

Any well meaning Nigerian would respect NIGER, not because it is the right thing to do, as the military junta is currently the will of the people, but because they are black like us, and this is exactly what is going on. The people are fighting France from continually exploiting them and their resources

DrMPH:

That is where you're wrong sir, in war as in love, assumption is dangerous. You would have thought Russia has overrun Ukraine by now. Be reminded that the same forces (interests) are at play in Niger. So, expect it to drag on needlessly. People profit from war (insurgencies in the North is only a tip of the iceberg). While, Niger may have unwittingly but ceremoniously chosen the path of destruction, does Nigeria need to follow suit? Look at the map, study war history, which border countries can Nigeria count on in the Sahel? ECOWAS will lose woefully, and Nigeria disgraced.
Emphasis is that "Don't start what you can't finish, war is (strategic), not a tea party". We should not let ego drive us nuts, we could just turn a blind eye and fix our own mess.

What's more is that going by the Sudan conflict, I DO NOT expect the West to show any vested interest like they did in Ukraine and the Yemen crisis. Niger does not pose a big economic benefit to the West. To Russia on the other hand, Niger is very important. There's also Algeria and Libya, one of the chief runners of weapons. Note that it's even easier accessing Iran military tech from Libya than it is from Russia. Libya has always been under western sanction and they are already backed by Russia. Algeria has always been anti west. Who do you think they will back? Russia and Niger or Nigeria? Libya in particular, aligns with Niger for ideological reasons.

Nigeria would be doomed. The people within the country are even strongly anti west. We are a black nation no less. A divided nation can never unite to fight Niger. There are powerful Nigerians who have a vested interest in Niger kicking out the french. Remember there are several boko Haram sponsors in Nigeria who feel that France has been impeding that spread. Aside this villains, there are other Nigerians who simply have a bit of sense and just want there to be peace and any protracted war with Niger would lead to calamity for both sides.

One thing is definitely sure, only Yorubas and the North would go and die in a war with Niger.

My people from the South South and South East, under no circumstance should we waste our lives fighting in a white man's war against our fellow black man.

Don't go against the will of the people just because you want to appease your white masters. Yoruba people didn't just betray Nigeria, they also betrayed Africa and the black race. Turn coat, a tribe of betrayers.

First thing you should know is that if Niger goes to war with Nigeria, Cameroon will be their ally. Cameroon will launch an eastern offensive while Niger launches a northern offensive backed by Russians, Mali, Burkina Faso,Guinea and Chad. The NATO you're expecting to help you will not help you one bit. You people are puppets to the West. Your Tinubu is a puppet leader
