no wonder on the average in naija it takes 6-8 hours for customer care to reply customer complaints via mail.

when I mean forgotten about ur written CV or application by people is that they don't really need workers at that period in time at times it takes years for them to go through their files to find some people applications to just fill a void. But @ times when people want to find work they should no more about the so called work place they should no where and which department they are lagging on before submitting their files

First look for a job, then if you are very venerable in your place of work you explain to the HR to help you write to NYSC office. The content of the letter should be the latter of retaining after it would have been done and delivered they will send back a letter of .............. (I will remember it after) so after it has been sent back to your place of work then you are free but as for you to skip it might be very slim sha ooooooo

Mtchewww, most hr just have a way to justify some of their deeds. At the end of the day, it still boils down to "man know man". How can you say that an application has chances to be considered as "late" when the proposed stated deadline had not elapsed. When on some occasions the deadline of some job application is even the day it was posted.
And from your statement, you have also confirmed that you do not go through all CVS as you tend to pick only the ones that are captivating "to you" hence equal opportunity is not given to all applicants.

Experience a d the value of the company one worked in also plays a role, if say you were looking for a customer care supervisor and you came across two resumes one has been a customer care manager in adegoke and sons for 8 years and one has been team lead customer service in PWC (Price Waterhouse coopers) for 3 years you would pick the PWC candidate easily .

yeah have seen a case like that but they were like this guy doesn't have a degree like the other guy the reason was because the guy where all called to do some graphic design with system but the guy who had second sch certificate was far better that the other one with qualification, they were kind of confused on what to do and who to choose

Well sha that is for her own side, when I was doing my training at LBS, that is lagos business school I worked with the HR ehn I was in charge of some things like collecting of applications and doing so Requisition. When it comes to the applications ehn it is sub-divided into TWO types of files first is the Uni letters and the others are for polly files depending on what you want to apply for, but when it comes to reading of the letters they tend to call people who are. Qualified on peppers to come and be interviewed but if you are well qualified for the post you will be employed to work but if you are not the lord is your strength. At times they might not be fairness ooooo, some of them might be forgotten it takes by the grace of God for them to remember ur CV and applications hope I am making common sense here

This morning I woke up and the first thing I reached for was my phone, it was a sort of subconscious process. I then spent 10 mins browsing instagram and another 5 on Facebook where I read about the Brazilian team that died in flight. I went and showered; thereafter I started my prayer and mid- way through such my phone rang, I broke prayer turned it off then resumed praying. As I got up a notification popped up on my screen it was a CNN broadcast of a supposed act of terrorism, my mind and spirit sunk. I got I'm my car and began driving whilst contemplating all that I've mentally consumed
upon waking up. A few minutes into driving I was passing a high school and a kid (no older than 13) walked out into the road whilst engaging with his phone. I almost hit him, luckily I was only going about 20km per hour. I slammed on the brakes, he glanced at me while partially in the road then scuttled
across the street; seemingly unfazed he carried on just the same, head to phone, mind consumed, zombie mode intact.
It brought back memories of all the videos and photos I've seen on social media with people fighting,
crying and even dying while others record and snap photos whilst scrambling for the best angle and lighting; some even encourage it all for the sake of likes, views and status. This is not humanity, it is depravity. A super imposed ideology which has torn down the very foundation of our morality. We are becoming what we aren't, dying while living. We are the living dead.

Does he cheat on you? Does he treat you well? Are you married to him or your are married to his dress? Woman please be wise. Take him out but clothes of your taste for him that is all

They cross the daunting Sahara and the treacherous Mediterranean on foot and in rickety boats,respectiv ely, in search of greener pastures. And too many end up in unmarked graves-- in the Sahara and the Mediterranean. They serve as soldiers in the armies of strong men. They serve as vigilantes in chieftaincy and tribal and political disputes. They fight over toilets while their counterparts across the globe argue about technology. They suffer from massive unemployment. And in the midst of all this, their leaders-- our leaders-- proclaim loudly that this is Africa's century!! That in essence, is the story of Africa's youth. There are, currently about 200 million Africans between 15 and 24, according to the African Development Bank, making Africa the youngest continent. This number is expected to double by 2045. While the unemployment rate in Africa is believed to be about 6%, compared to the global level of 5%, the youth make up 60% of Africa's unemployed. This is despite the fact that Africa has 6 of the 10 fastest growing economies in the World. Our 668 or so universities churn out 10 million graduates a year and half of these fail to find employment. Alexander Chikwenda, Zambia's Finance Minister, described youth unemployment as a " ticking time bomb". Unemployment and underemployment are certainly the biggest problems facing our youth but it is barely ahead of education, substance abuse and vulnerability to diseases like HIV , other STD's and dispair. These problems and the failure of African leaders to address them raise fundamental questions. Why do we spend our scarce resources producing graduates who lack the skills to be the workforce we need for development? Why do our educators continue to produce graduates in history and drama and foreign languages when they know graduates in the same fields are unemployed? If Africa has 65% of the World's arable land, according to the African Development Bank, why do we spend 35 billion USD annually to import food even as our youth roam around unemployed? Depressingly, we are projected to spend a whopping 110 billion USD on food imports annually by 2025! Today, Brazil, Indonesia and Thailand each produce more food than Sub-Saharan Africa. Sadly , currently, we spend more on the millitary than on Agriculture. Since Nkrumah's seminal 1963 Addis Ababa speech during the founding of the O.A.U., no African leader has laid out a vision of comparable depth, breadth and excitement. Our leaders continue to re-arrange the chairs on the deck of our titanic continent even as it heads towards the proverbial iceberg. We lack thinking and innovation. We lack the will to solve basic and pervasive problems. Our tragedy is not for want of talent. We are the continent that produced a Pope 6 centuries ago. We are the continent that has produced 2 UN Secretary- generals, Pele and Mohammed Ali. We produced the geniuses whose inventions and innovations have transformed American and world science, arts and literature. And we are the continent on which a Malawian teenager invented windmills, a Ghanaian boy, Mawuli could drive the first time he sat behind the wheels of a car because he has watched his father and uncles for years and geniuses in Accra and Lagos can demonstrate, in a backhanded way, their ingenuity with 419 scams. Some day, the youth of Africa will rise up against the selfish leaders whose greed has failed them and sent them, across the Sahara and the Mediterranean in search of opportunity. Or the voices of the dead, in unmarked graves will reach heaven and ask God for justice against the leaders who failed them. Let us give our youth, in our schools, skills that are needed for our development. Let us develop our Agriculture so that the 35 billion USD we spend a year importing food can help make our youth proud and prosperous farmers instead of dead migrants. Let us stop parrotting the bull that drugs are not dangerous so our youth will not be sucked into its death spiral. Let our ambitions be about doing, for others, rather than being for ourselves.
