And chief Mathew Mbu at 23?
This is the 4th Republic, it was the first Republic

chimere66:
I know that.I mean since the inception of democracy. At the age of 27,Sen. Victor Ndoma was appointed Commissioner for Works and Transport in the old Cross River State (now Cross River and Akwa Ibom States) at the time his father’s classmate was a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry.

How about Donald Duke? He was a commissioner during Clement Ebri's regime. You can't count that democratic dispensation. He later became a Governor at the age of 32
Politics / Re: Asuquo Ekpenyong, Nigeria’s Youngest Commissioner At 30 (pic) by bobbymore: 3:30pm On Dec 08, 2015
Sorry, he is not the youngest democratic commissioner. Donald Duke was 25 when he was made a commissioner during then Clement Ebri's government of Cross River State. He was commissioner of Finance. Senator (Bar) Victor Ndoma Egba (SAN) was a commissioner at 27 though during a military regime. Besides if we go back into history another great Cross Riverian Chief (bar) Ambassador Mathew Tawo Mbu was 23 years old, when he became the first High Commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom at the first Republic. Please check your facts first

Car Talk / Re: BMW Owners' Forum by bobbymore: 2:17pm On Jul 22, 2015
i would like to be added to the What'supp group, my phone number is 08064813119, my name is Bob. I drive an e39, this is my second BMW. I had owned a 190 benz and a C-class benz. I still dig BMW, You can't compaire. Its crazy. The stability is mind blowing, excellent fuel efficiency, especially if you can regulate the computer system using your dashboard. I live in the peaceful city of Calabar. We have some 'crazy' BMW mechanics. Mine was parked for a while, but, one of my old mechanics stopped by the house did one or two magics and the car sprang back into action. We have a serious problem of parts over here. They are too too expensive. I needed to by my engine wiper, they don't have it here in Calabar. House members can help me get it. I hear its easy to get from lagos. I saw one on ebay too but, the price was high. Its been raining seriously here. Be glad to be a part of this great group. Have a great day. Someone said you can regulate ur ECU to factory setting. Will try that and get back to the house members. Infact, there so many things you can do with the dash board computer, if you know how to use it.

I remember travelling and I pressed the left traficator control knob. I kept pressing it and observed on the dashboard L/km, temp etc kept changing. I then left it on L/km, while here, it read 15/100km. As I kept accelerating it dropped to 10/100 km. I moved the speedometer to 120km/hr. I maintained tis position for 10km. The L/km again dropped again to 7/100km. I observed that the rate of fuel consumption reduced so drastically, I felt like whao. So, you can cover a distance of 100km and the car will consume + or -, 10 litres only, and if you increase you speed to 150-200km, the car can consume between 7-9 litres of fuel. I have seen on you tube where it consumed just 4litres of fuel in that distance. Though the producers of the video were travelling from Germany to France.

Its important we know how to use the regulators on the dash board.

Politics / Re: Can You Take This Away From Ben Bruce? by bobbymore: 10:13am On May 13, 2015
What connection has Ben with Tinapa? None. Leave the man alone. Tinapa got killed when the sleeping Governor Liyel Imoke couldnt bring it to limelight like Donald Duke since it was not his pet project. Period.

ideykwum:
That's the problem with Nigeria! Leave the messenger and accept the message!!! Are you endorsing corruption? Shouldn't someone speak against corruption if he has repented from it (assuming Ben did as you said)??

People like you annoy me a lot!!

Politics / Re: France Would Have Destroyed Nigeria Over Bakassi - Duke by bobbymore: 12:04pm On Oct 13, 2013
sweet_gala: Its not just about military might but what we stand to loose. The war would not be fought on the beaches of Normandy but right in our backdoor. The Nigerian civilian casualties would be great.
I guess diplomacy won in the end, we had conceded so much to the Cameroonians in the past that after the war ends what happened to Germany after both world wars would be our portion. We would loose face.
My elder brother was stationed at Ikang, as a soldier between 2002 - 2008. The French and the Camerounian gendarmes attacked the Nigerian troops there. Bros, the Nigerian soldiers fought and killed so many gendarmes. I will post a picture of a military hardware captured by our soldiers. Bakassi is a swampy place. Many French soldiers left the area because of the swampy ecology. They couldnt stand the place.

I see no sense in this post. Some dumbass jst dont understand how international politics works. The worst france could have done was to back cameroon up with weapons and tactical advice like they did in libya. They wouldnt dare raised a single finger against Nigeria and well, that's not because they can not.

Why didnt they dare Nigeria when Abacha was head of state? Its a total lie that Nigeria would have been wiped out. France knew how chicken hearted and corrupt our civilian leaders were, that's why they settled a lot of them during that period and made them to sign the green tree agreement. Besides, if Bakassi was in the West, would Nigeria had lost it? Yes, we longer own Bakassi Peninsular, how about the citizens of Nigeria who have lost their ancestral homes, relics, etc because they were forced out of their heritage, those same people are passing through a hell of a time. They don't have accommodation, health care, education for the younger one's etc etc. the Bakassi people are suffering. Money's have been provided for them, but our Oga's at the top have siphoned all of it, leaving the people in a sore state. Too bad.

Education / Re: The Deplorable State Of Infrastructure In Nigerian Universities (Photos) by bobbymore: 9:38am On Oct 05, 2013
kado: So , what does your VC do about the internally generated Revenue(IGR)? Or is it not enough to fix some of this problems? Must government do everything for you
Yes, we have such deplorable conditions in our universities. The question is what does the Vice-chancellors of Universities do with all the fees paid by students, and rents paid by staff living in university quarters?. A breakdown of the fees show that students pay for maintenance, light, medical, sports, library, lab/audio visuals etc, lets say in a hostel the actual students supposed to stay in a room are 4. this number multiplied by hostel charge of N10,000. equals N40000, an average second generation university has at least 30,000 students. Multiply this number to the fees paid by full time students of N25,000 this equals N7500000000. This money can be used to maintain infrastructure, provide equipment in the Universities, but, this isn't the case. University management mis-management all the funds and expect government to provide money. Vice-chancellors connive with bursars to loot the system, after their tenure, they aren't probed. What happened in south south university after their riot a few years back. Each student was asked to pay N10000, from diploma, long distance, to Ph.D students. The school has a total population of over 40,000 students. Multiply that amount, it sums up to N400 million. They spent less than 10 million fixing the damage caused by students, what happened to the rest? What happened to the money? Part time students pay over N60000 a session. Multiply that by 10000 part time students it equals N600 million. The least fees a postgraduate student pays is N150000 a session. Multiply that by 3000 postgraduate students admitted, it equals N450 million. Some universities charge N15000 for P.G forms, multiply that by 3000 people who may apply it equals N45million. Now, for post ume exams, a students pays N2000 for the forms, multiply that 5000 students who may apply into a university, it equals N10 million, there's also the sale of forms for pre-degree and part time undergraduate programmes, monies run into millions of naira each year. The question is what happens to them? Government established TETFUND, there is ETF. This establishment raises billions for tertiary universities. The truth is until corruption is checked in the system it will be hard for us to move ahead. Now ASUU wants 3trillion naira? hmm, I laugh.
