Bimffo:
Long time Guys..

@ bimfo and others " Eti to gbo alo lo ma gbo abo"

I had relied on the transparent admission process of lasu but to my surprise the 2nd post utme admission was upturned and you found a situation where 1st to 8th on the list my son represents in public admin for other states were not given admission whereas 79th and 99th persons on the list from same Ogun state were given admission.
This is unexpected because its a last resort to get admission and as such many runs the admission.

I now know ki ji pa ki se awo I.e khaki not leather. I had to put serious pressure on my contact which I refrained from using before hoping on merit admissions. At last the end justify the means as my son got matriculated in lasu to study insurance at no cost with his name coming out on final and 5th suplimentary list, though he applied for pub admin which I selected for him to boost his chances but the admission people out of magogo change it to insurance to his advantage. That goes to say "" everything worketh for Good for those that trusted the Lord God"

Bimfo I hope by now your thought about God must have change now and you dey go our father's house with vykta to renew your mind with word of God and not pursuing those babes the church is endowed with. May be my next visit to Abk I spend the week end and see what's up in that church if undiluted word of God is preached for the salvation of souls or ladies jez goes there on fashion freak. Lol

WAVEACADEMY:
we have trained 144 unemployed and over 80% currently employed, the fee we charge doest even cover the rent of our training centre in yaba. for an auditor and hr managemnt person you didnt think it wise that you google us 1st before you cast aspersion on our intention, this alone makes me doubt your credentials. GO AND GOOGLE US AND COME BACK IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. THANK

You want to sell your product, rather than coming out transparently with uniqueness of your product to convince me to buy into your product you are asking me to dissipate energy checking Google. What a bad marketer you are!

Coming back I have not debar nairalander from your patronage because the choice is theirs to take. The same way I put a caveat emptor on your product is same manner you put a disclaimer in your website . caveat didnt suggest negative patronage but for them to take due diligence to verify your claim and be convinced before patronage and I don't see maligning here as we owe it a duty to guide each other.

Well I Google as directed but still not convince because anything can be posted online so aside Google other due diligence steps is needed to support the Google info.

Why don't you post on NL that you recruit only for Hotel and hospitality biz only so that any one not interested in that industry won't bother his head.

I am impressed with the quality of wave academy board in terms of academic and professional certificate with two of them A member of chartered Institute of personnel management. This further give me doubt if they will engage in unethical HR practice of collecting 1/3 of first month salary because every professional HR practitioner knows what professional ethics is all about.

Well I wish wave academy goodluck ebele Jonathan as you have choice to continue to doubt if I am a trained Auditor and chartered Accountant. I rest my case.

WAVEACADEMY:
so? sir pls explain to me hw we are a scam, we an ngo with a simple task of reducing unemployment.
so for training we charge a token of 10k
and after we have place trainees in a job, we ask for 1/3 of their 1st month salary
understanding that unemployed ppl are broke, we decided that training fee be paid after we have successfully gotten them a job
which also can be paid in instalment, however it suits the trainee
even the 1/3 of 1st month salary is charged because we believe that if we spend our resources in getting you a job, you as a grateful person shld give back so we can help others too
and in keeping with our transperency policy, we dont do automatic deduction on trainees salary after being successfully placed. we ask that you give us a third of your first month salary after we have placed you, but its ultimately up to the trainees to pay or not.
ARE WE NOT FAIR ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not here to malign or rubbish anyone business but I owe it a duty to put a caveat and inform nairalander as deemed appropriate.
I am familar with workings of NGO and I have cause to Audit many of them and report on their account to international donor agency.

The modus operandi of your wavecrest academy doesn't suggest you are an NGO. I think the starting point is to make your self and organization transparent so that people will not cast a wrong aspersion on your supposedly good intention.

T o this end as a trained auditor we are guided by the principle of skeptism meaning am not meant to believe your representation until proven. Why don't you scan and post here first the CAC registration of your academy as an NGO under part B of companies and allied matter Act. Also publish the course curriculum of the training you charge 10k for evaluation. Doing this will give credence to your claim. I stop for nau cause it seems you run purely as commercial entity than an NGO.

there are jobs, the question is "are you ready to start from the bottom"
only 1 in every 40 unemployed youth get a perfect job on their first try
knowing this would you rather sit at home till you get a perfect job#jonzing
WAVE ACADEMY IS AN NGO focused on reducing unemployment, we equip unemployed youths for 3wks then place them in jobs
and those who successfully complete the one year paying IT(37k) eventually go on to earn an average salary of 120k per month
yeah! its hard to believe right?

CAVEAT
Its against professional ethics in HR or management consulting generally for HR professional to collect money from job seekers. the recruitment consultant will be paid by the client.

The general rule is that any recruitment agency that seeks to collect registration fee, form fee, or any kind of fee from job seekers is a scam or quack HR professional not belonging to any professional body.

It is even worrisome for wave academy to demand for 1/3 of your first month salary.

Before you sign the disclaimer in the weblink you are directed think twice because if you do you can't seek any lawful redress because you have already hold yourself bond to be scammed or agreed to their terms of engagements.

Shine your eyes.

I have read many enquiries on this thread albeit most are new to this thread. A general golden rule to identify scam interview had been given among which are:

1. Mostly communicated via Gsm text msg

2. The text msg will come less than 24 hrs to the interview so that you won't have time to do necessary checks and due diligence.

3. The name of the client / organization is recruitment is made for not disclosed.

4. The position you will be interview for will not be disclosed only a reference number will be indicated.

Once you see any text msg with the above character know its a scam.

You can imagine the text msg from Mr. Olawale posted above was received 8pm this sunday evening and expects me to come to interview in Ibadan Monday morning . his identity was revealed as GNLD Agent by caller apps and true caller apps I had to lambast him on phone not to send such txt to me again

matriculation on Wednesday for fresher

Would the matric still hold on Wednesday as new students admitted through the final supplementary list and have been screened are yet to have their name updated in cleared list which will enable them to pay school fees and be issued with matric number.

In short, they have not been able to pay school fees and issued with matric number. Do you think matriculation will still hold? Besides no update on lasu website as regard the matric

I paid it online. The admission status has started showing on jamb website

If its to pay acceptance or school fees online no need to go to LASU I paid the acceptance fee with my ATM card and my laptop connected to internet with my phone via quick teller in the comfort of my home.

There are some cafe that will do that for you using their ATM card and you give them cash. Look for cyber cafe around you or go to lasu cybercafe as a last resort to effect payment

Information on the website requires newly admitted students to pay their acceptance fee online.

New students should stop paying their acceptance fee to the bank details given earlier.

New bank details will be communicated shortly.

Let's await the new and updated information.

Methinks accepting the offer of admission first with payment of acceptance fee should precede screening.

Am expecting your mail so that I can respond with my Gsm for Whtsapp. Am not done with this thread until my son do matriculation and commence lecture then he continue interact with his folks

This is unwarranted, let's learn to be receptive and tolerate and help each other. Besides, the issue is between carene and my good self who made efforts checking the result for Akinleye, both of us never complain. Why then the abuse by @ chibunnannodim who doesn't offer help in checking the list.

I praise the peaceful response of Akinleye and his spirit of humility to even offer undeserved apology. This must have been informed by the biblical injunction to pursue peace with all men.

Iamdejamen thanks for the arbitration and great thanks goes to coded80 who stood relentlessly offering help to jambite with information that assisted a great deal in the admission process from the beginning of this thread and was never provoked, this is despite the fact that he is a starlite. I think @ chibubunannodim should emulate coded80 and equally apologize to Akinleye for calling him silly and a fool on a matter he has no locus standi as lawyer use to say.

Peace to you all as you pursue your career in lasu, your end shall be more glorious than the beginning.

Fellow Nigerians...support GEJ and support democracy..

Buhari is a reminded of what military put us through, ask your father's and mothers..

I mean your old school fathers..not all this year 2000 baby daddies we have all over here in nairaland

You think every one on Nairaland is a small boy like you. GMB came as military man to sanitize the polity in 1983 and instill moral discipline in our consciousness as a nation and we have embraced orderly behaviour in the society before maradona truncated the administration.

GMB set up Administrative judicial tribunal with enabling decrees to try the corrupt politicians who stole ourbcollective wealth and those guilty of tribunal verdict where jailed. Most of these jailed corrupt politians have found their way back to politics and stealing continues as GEJ shields them. Imagine GeJ stealing not corruption saying in a rally at anambra or so that how much did Jim nwobodo stole that GMB jailed Him.
We need GMB to sanitize the system for 4yrs for younger generation of politician to take over the mantle of leadership and build on his solid foundation. Our Generator at National stadium was reported to be carted away by this same Jim nwibodo during his being minister for sport.

Thank God for the choice you made at last you heeded to the wise advice cos am one of those that advise that you should take up the course but then you remained focussed on being a certified mechanic which you had started with OND from Ibadan poly.

I hope with this your shift same way your thought has been shapen by the existence of God the creator.

The little challenges you experienced in life does not mean God does not exist. He is unquestionable! Would someone like myces Munro says God doesn't exist for dying in plane crash? Despite serving God wholeheartedly.. Once we know that our citizenship is not of of this world but of heaven Then what ever negative experience we may gave in this world we be nothing to us because our focus will be eternity.

Politics / Re: President Jonathan Gives Emotional Speech On APC, Amaechi’s Comment by bobbyspeed(m): 9:20am On Dec 27, 2014
APC-Logo1THE All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to show leadership by example instead of engaging in mere rhetoric, saying talk becomes cheap the moment words lose their meaning

In a statement issued in Lagos Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said President Jonathan’s exhortations at a Christmas service in Abuja on Thursday would have carried weight if the President had acted in such a way that his compatriots would not doubt his sincerity.

It wondered how the President could admonish others to avoid sowing the seeds of discord and hatred through their utterances when that is exactly the stock in trade of his political associates, supporters and spokespersons.

‘’Everything that the President’s political associates, supporters and spokespersons have done has been geared towards creating division among Nigerians and sowing the seeds of discord and hatred, and the President is not on record as having ever called them to order.

‘’Recently, Chief Edwin Clark, a die-hard supporter of the President, said glibly that if the opposition has its way it can poison or kill President Jonathan just to take power. No statement could be more absurd and incendiary, yet the President never called him to order.

‘’Another dyed-in-the-wool supporter of the President, Mujaheed Asari Dokubo, said on national television that there will be blood on the streets if President Jonathan is not re-elected in 2015. He also said ‘we will not take any prisoner of war. It will be total battle’, but the President never uttered a word in his rebuke.

‘’Since President Jonathan’s main opponent in the 2015 elections, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari emerged, his party members and spokesmen have been falling over themselves to pour invectives on him and his party, the APC. The National Secretary of the President’s party, Wale Oladipo, called the former head of state a ‘semi-literate jackboot’. Doyin Okupe lambasted Gen. Buhari for not stealing money during his many public appointments while PDP spokesman Olisa Metuh issued his most jejune statement to date just to pillory the APC and its leaders.

‘’In all this, President Jonathan never saw a comment that could fan the embers of discord and hatred. Having failed to call his spokesmen, party members and supporters to order when they made incendiary comments, President Jonathan has lost the moral authority to call anyone else to order for the same wrong doing,’’ APC said.

It added: “Nigerians are more divided along ethnic and religious lines today than at any time in the history of the nation, and this is traceable to the President. President Jonathan should therefore look inwards and stop being sanctimonious.

‘’On our part, we say without equivocating, that we do not need any admonition from anyone, least of all a holier-than-thou President, to avoid actions that could divide the people or create discord or hatred. We are a party of peace, inclusiveness and concord, so President Jonathan should first speak the truth to his party before saying it to anyone else”.
