slap1: To say borrowing is a sign if discontentment and laziness shows that lack knowledge if financial management or finance. Countries borrows e.g USA, big corporation borrows to finance expansion and assets acquisition which will boost revenue that will pay back the loan overtime. Am sure you can say USA is lazy and discontented as well of big corporations. If borrowing is a taboo or sign of laziness there won't be various types of bank and financial institutions to finance country development and industrial growth. Check the balance sheet of most big companies in Nigeria you will come to term with the fact that borrowing is not laziness or sign of discontentment because using high debt capital results to growth for the companies through the concept of FINANCIAL LEVERAGE. once your rate of return is higher than your cost of borrowing you are good to go to borrow. Many workers borrowed to build houses in their place of work and repay from salary over 5yrs and this improve their lot. 1 Like |

mikeslim: I don't seems to understand why logic is absent in this argument. It is expected that bank accounts are not fixed but fluid or changes over time. So the word at least used by GMB is most appropriate. We should not expect him to say specifically he has 1m NGN when tomorrow the amount he has in his bank account could go up genuinely from legal income which can be verified by anti corruption agencies when the need arise. GMB did the right thing to say the minimum amount that could be traced to his bank account is 1M naira. 1 Like |

Irrespective of the divide you belong APC, PDP, SDP, UPN or English grammar party EGP as some are trying to claim I sabi English pass on this kind platform where post are hurriedly made without proof reading in most cases and as such makes no one insulated from what to me is inadvertent grammatical error which could be avoided in an official working atmosphere. All the roforofo fights, abuses and mudslidings on NL will not bring GEJ or GMD to power come 2015 without you taking steps to ensure that you have your PVC to vote your right choice of candidate in full power of franchise given to you by the constitution of Nigeria. may I ask have you registered and or collect your permanent voters card? It doesn't make a good intellectual debate when personalities are attacked instead of issues as its seen on NL. Using uncouth language and abusing parents to canvass view shows the level of moral decadence in Nigeria of today. |

colossus2: the priceread error is inadvertent and its android touch pad error. unless you are smarter the device will mess you up. At times I quickly modify my post after reading over and I notice such error. this does not suggest I don't pass olevel English or use of English in the university. |

gal10: why trying to bully the guy, this is not a professional forum where English is of importance once you get the import of the message forget the grammar. It is a common trend in a social media like this for post to be made in slangs and abbreviated text form and besides the androids phone devices do play a smart one on us if you are not observant your rightly typed words are replaced. so I don't see the cry about grammar here, its common among younger folks of university age to use slangs and abbreviated text as a means of expression which I as an adult have to come to terms with while chatting with this age group on social online platforms. I have come to learn this: sup = what's up rep = represents and many of such short form of expressions so why trying to hammer the guy as disgrace to Oau? take the message and leave the grammar |

stonecoldcafe: why chasing shadow bros. the message is well clear and not ambiguous. methinks the mistake is inadvertent because our android phone touch pads behave funny by changing your spelling in predictive mode. be that as it may this is not a professional forum grammar is a yardstick because abbrevative text and slangs are a common features of communication on social media like this. no one is inffalible to grammatical mistake so take it cool Bros and stop messing OAU graduate. I rep OOU and ICAN not OAU 6 Likes |

brownlord: why missing the point registration of party members is different from registration with INEC to get PVC permanent voters card which qualifies one to vote. I don't see the correlation with any purported APC card carrying members registration, verification and validation have on Inec registeration of eligible Nigerians to vote Myself and many Nigerians are not card carrying members of any political party and registered with InEC and will vote. so it is expected that total vote cast will always surpass membership of any political party and it will be illogical to use party registered members population to rig election. what ever internal manipulation done by any of the party may holds sway in their primary election and not the general election and methinks DSS have no bizness mendling in internal parties affairs. The DSS may have huge task to provide evidence in court that APC want to hack INEC website since they are not cut in the act and INEC site is yet to be hacked. what we are witnessing Under GEJ is worse than that witnessed in a military regime as on bastardization of our Democratic Institutions. God will deliver us from our leaders repobate minds. 3 Likes |

slimyusup: thanks we are in it together I will reconfirm cos I ran a search on other list too before coming out. you may as well test a sample from other dept if all lag indigenous students with 45% score and above where actually admitted. I am actually limited by time but not a bad academic exercise. i await your test outcome with empirical facts one thing we can't take away is the subjectivity of this process. E.g top on the list of pub admin other states was given economics admission which was not advertised in 2nd putume. its a fact you can verify.. |

[quote author=0coded80 post=28282359] from my research I find out that all indigine that got 45 was admitted for all course on merit, cause lasu is a state sch for lagos indigine, when I posited earlier in my post that the admission process was lopsided and skewed out some lag student who merit admission. The first paragraph of your post disapprove of my claim and you averred that all lag students with 45% score and above were given admission. let's research together still using pub admin as case study cos that's where I rep. it is surprising to note that the following lag student with higher score were not admitted using a sample of 1st to 15th students on the list. no 1 on result list Baruwa Azeez Olaide 60% no 2 on result list Rahaman ololade Aduke 59% no 5 on result list Nosiru Leila teniola 57% no 7 on result list Solomon Noah oluwatobi 56% no 9 on result list Egbeyemi Hassan Olakunle 55% no 11 on result list gbewa sesede rebekhar 54% Am sure if time permits to research other dept such injustice to Lagos state students denied admission on merit abounds. coded 80 confirm my research and revert to the thread. many thanks. this analytical research becomes imperative to guide future decision by aspiring students not to rely on merit alone be it indigene or not and go to sleep as you earlier stated that Oyo people did and were all skewed out while others dey runs the admission with between 20k to 100k. it shall be well with admission wounded students |
