What christ is saying their is that though abraham, isaac and jacob were dead but in the resurrection they shall live again. They passed their tests and are in the spiritual realm of the righteous as dead souls. They are dead cos they can't function on earth. The aim of God is that we inherit eternal life on paradise earth. They can only inherit this when they resurrect on the last day. They are in the realm of the righteous waiting for the last day when christ will rule as king on earth. Christ and his disciples ate the passover and a lamb was slained - mark 14:12-25; luke 22:7-20. The messiah desired to eat the passover before his death - luke 22:15. The messiah went to jerusalem for the passover - john 2:23. Should i go on? The messiah and his disciples were hebrews/jews and kept all the laws. Even the converted ones joined them.
