Gjrich: President Bola Tinubu has committed a blunder by nominating Etekamba Umoren from Akwa Ibom State as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) when the tenure of the current commissioner from the state has yet to expire.
PREMIUM TIMES investigation showed that the tenure of Monday Udo-Tom, an indigene of Akwa Ibom, and currently the Delta State REC, will expire in January.
Therefore, if Mr Umoren is sworn in as REC, having been cleared by the Senate, the oil rich state would have two of its indigenes in that position, a clear violation of the laws of the land. Under Tinubu's regime, illegality reign supreme |

FreeStuffsNG: The never-say-never indomitable spirit of a Patriotic Nigerian prevailed once again! We did it and we did it BIG!
Thank you Asiwaju Tinubu for not letting this dream die from the initial stage that the vision carrier, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, ran to you in desperation when our late President Yardua of the PDP , revoked his successful bid for our national refineries. You assured him that Lagos will support him to realise his dream. That dream is realized today. You are truly a visionary Leader of our time. God bless you Asiwaju Tinubu.
Thank you Alhaji Aliko Dangote and your team members for this great feat.
Thank you President Buhari for approving NNPC's request to support the project with the 20% stake.
Thank you Mr Mele Kyari of NNPC and Mr Emefiele of the CBN for the relentless hardwork you both put into this project to save it from failing.
Thank you to all our indigenous banks and international banks, crude oil production companies, CBN, NNPC, patriotic public and civil servants, the great and patriotic Nigerians and lovers of Nigeria who all contributed to make this project a laudable success.
Great gbosagbosa Thank you to the Centre of Excellence, my Lagos state and in particular, Eti-osa for being a worthy host. E seun lopolopo eyin lobaloba, Ijoye ati gbogbo ara ilu Eko.
Thank you HE Babatunde Raji Fashola for your leadership in helping Dangote Refinery call Etiosa home today.
It's a feat even generations unborn will benefit from as they will not inherit the evil petrol subsidy system that nearly killed Nigeria.
To the shame of the naysayers and unpatriotic elements, Dangote Refinery made it and you lost again. All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las, they always lose. Congratulations to Nigeria. God bless Nigeria for ever! Before you begin to pour encomiums to an undeserved recipient, wait till the first drop of refined PMS from Dangote refinery hit the markets Remember when Tinubu thoughtlessly removed subsidy, you and other minions told us that Dangote refinery will commence operation in July, |

The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Prof Charles Okechukwu Esimone, has approved the immediate suspension of a staff member, Nwafor Osborne Ogbonnaya (Nwafor Ogbonnaya Nwesuzor) for six months for allegedly presenting a forged degree result to the university. The six months suspension is to enable the university authorities carry out further investigations into the forgery allegation. According to a statement by Special Adviser to the vice chancellor (Public Relations and Special Duties), Dr. Emmanuel C. Ojukwu, on Thursday, the official presented two degree certificates – bearing Nwafor Osborne Ogbonnaya and Nwafor Ogbonnaya Nwesuzor respectively. In his bid to secure employment at the university, the official whose real name is Nwafor Ogbonnaya Nwesuzor reportedly abandoned his undergraduate programme and forged the university’s statement of result and a letter of exclusion from the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). Accountability Lab Nigeria charges NOA DG on national gender policy implementation Barau hosts BUK’s management, pledges more support for education The statement added that the suspect later went ahead to complete his degree programme, noting that the alleged forgery was discovered when he wrote to the university requesting to change his degree result. The new result he submitted bears Nwafor Ogbonnaya Nwesuzor and different class of degree which raised suspicion. “Upon further investigation it was discovered that this staff forged his degree result and letter of exclusion from the NYSC based on the obvious disparity between the documents he submitted originally and the new documents he was trying to substitute. “The class of degree in both results presented varies. The forged statement of result with the name Nwafor Osborne Ogbonnaya bears second class lower division while the original result with the name Nwafor Ogbonnaya Nwesuzor bears third class. “In following due process, the vice chancellor in exercising his powers based on the university rules and regulations approved his (the official’s) immediate suspension from the employment of the university for six months while his case undergoes other processes in the university before final action,” it stated. https://dailytrust.com/unizik-suspends-official-over-certificate-forgery/ |

Politics › If I Demand N20bn Every Month, It’s Politics’ – Wike Justifies Fight With Fubara by Bobloco(op): 6:42pm On Nov 02, 2023 |
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has said his rift with Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State was purely politics.
Wike said it is politics if he demands N20 billion monthly and is allowed to award all the contracts to himself.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State wondered where Fubara was when he was fighting.
The minister vowed to remain politically relevant and maintain his structure.
According to Wike: “If I Demand N20 billion every month and even award all the contracts to myself, that’s politics. Where was he when I was fighting?
“I have to be politically relevant and I must maintain my political structure. I can’t allow anybody to cut me out immediately.
“If you like accuse me all you like, I won’t have a sleepless night because the right thing must be done.”
The rift between Wike and Fubara led to attempts by some members of the state assembly to impeach the governor.
The governor, however, resisted the attempts. https://dailypost.ng/2023/11/02/if-i-demand-n20bn-every-month-its-politics-wike-justifies-fight-with-fubara/

Just imagine if we start even banning them from political offices, this whole nonsense will stop at once.

Politics › Arrest, Prosecute Police Officers Who Brutalised NLC President – Falana To IGP by Bobloco(op): 8:09am On Nov 02, 2023 |
Human rights activist, Femi Falana, has called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure that officers who allegedly brutalised the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero are arrested and prosecuted.
Falana made the remark while faulting the statement by the police on Ajaero’s arrest.
The police had denied arresting the NLC president during the union’s rally in Owerri, Imo State on Wednesday.
It explained that Ajaero was only whisked away when miscreants hijacked the NLC Trade Union rally in Owerri.
However, Falana said the explanation given by the police was tainted with loopholes.
In a statement he signed, Falana wondered why the police failed to arrest the miscreants that brutalised the NLC President in their presence.
He said: “The police version of the brutalisation of the NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajero is full of loopholes.
“Why did the police allow Comrade Ajero to be brutalised by the so-called miscreants? In other words, why did the police not protect him from the violent attack?
“So the police who witnessed the attack without making any arrest suddenly turned round to take the victim to the police clinic. The members of the public who decried the barbaric attack took pictures, which exposed the misleading version of the police.
“It is disturbing that the police justified the action of the so-called miscreants by saying that Comrade Ajero has disobeyed the order of a court. Why did the police not allow the court to purge Comrade Ajero of contempt of court?
“We call on the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate and ensure that the police officers who brutalised the NLC President are prosecuted without any delay.” https://dailypost.ng/2023/11/02/ajaero-arrest-prosecute-police-officers-who-brutalised-nlc-president-in-imo-falana-to-igp/
