Politics / Any Ibo Man In The Calibre Of Mike Omeri Is A Coward. by BobNeli(m): 8:34pm On Nov 16, 2015
That the Ibos should harness their God's given tallent in the intrest of one Nigeria is the most stupid and cowardic comment a son of the Ibo land can ever make. Maybe he is equally insunuating that amongst all the numerous exploitations of the South-East, by Nigeria, that the Igbos should as well allow their human resources to be exploited just to keep Nigeria, one. While other tribes remain dormant and enjoy the sacrificial lamb. We have not started on Biafra yet and loafers like u are shaking. We are yet staging against the unlawful detention of one of our sons by the entity u are advocating for. What u are seeing is just message accross the world that we are united and resoveled against any intimidation. By the time the true push for our undisputable heritage gets the center stage. People like u will go visit the hang-man's noose.

The great mass of this population who have exchanged their common sense for a little distorted informations and had only encountered education briefly and unsuccessfully are the reasons Nigeria's progress remains stalled. Always in a rush to believe something, we manufacture saints out of nothing. Just dangle infront of us, some banal ideas and we leap like fishes from the waters to hook on a bait. Right now, the economy is being milked with harsh policies that were never allowed to undergo due processes. Like the TSA. Subjecting companies to heavy fines that could reflect directly on the labour market. With a view to balancing depths incured from campaign expenses as well as enriching individual purses. Preocupied with a notion of shifting all blames to the previous administration, while the masses surffer. We are still shouting 'he is a god!' Right now, fuel is 150 naira per liter, without any explanation. After earmarking a 40billion naira paid to subsidy in the face of crude price-drop. But nobody cares to raise an eye brow. Right now Nigeria is being handcuffed like a slave led into the hands of his masters, by the manner of ministry mergers, which allocate lion shares of the economy to proven cabals and freinds of the president. But we are not awakening from slumber yet. The harsh economic down-turn of public misrule does not accrue to the tyrant leaders but to the masses who refuse to advocate against it whilst it's still redemable. Let us continue to heap blames on an irredimable past whilst our future remains under the treath of the present deceit called 'CHANGE.'

From the just concluded ministerial portflio handed, the expections of Nigerians from this administration is a forgone concluclusion. The quaint policies of president Buhari are mere gimmicks to bamboozle a higher percentage of the masses, predisposed to credulity. As a corolary to the subterfuge employed during the campaigns to get the gullible section of the electorate to vote them to power, president Buhari and his APC cohorts have continued to work on their elixirs to catch the people up in a communal mood of rapt attension, making it impossible for them to find a distance to be skeptical and rational. And the deficiencies in their ideas are now concealed in the zeal, passion and enthusiasm of the folowers who are willing to react violently to any attempt aimed at spreading doubt. But it wount be long this whole thing that looks attractive,
and transcendental, will turn ridiculous. Without refrence to all the failled campaign promises of president Buhari and the APC. The latest act and manner of ministry merger by mr president has shown that the present administration is more inclined to favouritism than efficiency. Or how can one explain the fact that in a broad broad economy like Nigeri's, with deepening unemployment crises, whic has been jettisoned as a major cause of youth restiveness, insecurity and insurgencies. An economy with over 160 million people to care about. The president saw it wise to merge the already ineficiently managed ministries like that of power, works and housing. That of Aviation and then transport to one, for his best freinds to oversee. Just in a bid to hand them lucrative portfolio for their individual efforts towards his rise to power, at the expense of the rest of the population. Firstly, it is obvious that the duplication of these ministries provides grounds for efficient supervission. And moreso, create jobs. But mr president, in a bid to compensate his campaign benefactors, decided not only to merge ministries but to merge the biggest and most lucrative of all into one, for his allies to manage. The behaviour of charlaterns are known to contain on one hand, a promise of something great and transformative but in reality, total vagueness. These will stimulate hazy dreams in the minds of the people who will only get disapointed with time.

Politics / Buhari, The Incoruptible Leader by BobNeli(m): 11:02pm On Nov 11, 2015
I had been wandering why an economy as big as Nigeria was run for complete six months by one man. No cabinate. How are we suposed to account for our treasury under one man's supervision and care withing this time frame? What trust and confidence do we still repose in a man who can not live up to his campaign promises? How were his campaign funds generated and what were the agreements entered into with the benefactors? How has our flourishing economy come under intense presure and almost at a point of comatoes withing six months of change propangada? What explanations has a sole proprietor supervising every sector of a business empire without any interference for almost half a year, to give as his excuse for empty treasury as claimed before international communities? Having converted all the ministries revenues into a single account, and supervised single handedly, same account for six good months without report, What is our confidence in a humanbeing (not God) that our joint ownership is not tampered? Even if we still wish to live in denial maybe for the sake of positive thinking, how do we convince ourselves beyound any reasonable doubt that a man who has no respect for constitution nor the law is not corrupt? It's obvious that section 138 of the 1999 constitution of the fedral republic of Nigeria as amended, barred the president from holding any other executive position, but from the just concluded ministerial appointments, our dear incorruptible leader, defied that provission. Notwithsatnding difiance to a court injuction directing him to release a humanright activist who continues to remain in extrajudicial detention. What about the attitudes or our almighty judiciary today under the guidiance of an incorruptible leader? The Benue state election which lacked merit due to the ineligibility of the victor under the umbrella of change, survived CCT trial while that of Taraba under opposition camp could not. Eventhough the later had a better locus standi than the former. If INEC, the electoral umpire becomes the one who appeals the judgement against Wike of Rivers state today. Doesn't it have any thing to tell us about the depence of our last resort to personal rights? Fellow Nigerians, when would we wake up from our emotional cocoons and face the raw facts? When would we set tribalism, religiousity and favouritism asside for the sake of our national dream? Even if we voted in ignorance due to the inability our human nature not to read minds. Isn't it wise to stand up for our rights to transparency and good governance. We must not wait until the whole economy is grounded. Because it will be tantamount to crying over a spilt milk.

Food / Nigeria Under Buhari Is Fast Drifting Into A State Of Arnachy. by BobNeli(m): 2:01pm On Nov 09, 2015
Nigeria is fast drifting into a state of arnachy and complete lawlessness. What is breeding in this country presently is like a timebomb which Nigerians might not be able to contend with when it explodes. Were they just empty rhetorics of politicians that we were fed with during the campaigns? Were we deceived to vote the wrongs minds into power? Where are we really heading? The atmosphere is misty and the coast from here is bleak.
Let me not delve much into the bogus promises of (1) THE FIVE THOUSND NAIRRA STIPENDS TO THE UNEMPLOYED, or (2) THE ONE MEAL A DAY TO SCHOOL CHILDREN. A'm equally not here to talk about THE 3MILLION ANUAL JOB CREATION that rather seems the opposite of what was meant. For if companies and establishments like MTN and our leading Banks are finned without minding its direct effect on the labour force of such establishments; I wonder what economic plans there are towards the fulfilment of that promise. I have noticed for the past six months, the rate at which jobs are lost than secured.
However, the main straw that broke the camells back about this write_up is the undo influence on the judiciary which has lost its integrity and confidence of the masses.
Starting from the Benue state gorvernoship election. It is crystal clear that there was no primaries in the Apc party, and its flag bearer who came victorious at the general pools was hand-picked. What provissions of the electoral act sustained his mandate at the tribunals?
But that notwithstanding,the rivers state election tribunal which sat immidiately after the elections, in response to the suit filled before it by the APC candidate, Peterside, challenging the result. Upheld Wike's victory with the aid of the elecoral umpire's testimonies. What justification do we have in the removal of the rational judge who was maliciously acused of an uncertained 200million naira bribery but could not be sued nor made to face any collection of bribery charge as alleged, but was only removed and replaced with a pupet, hand-picked to deliver his employer's decree? No doubts, concidering the facts and evidences besseting the judgement. (1) the tribunal used testimonies of witnesses who were not at the pooling units To cancel the Rivers governoship election. But it's obvious that evidence of reports at an election by persons who did not make nor observe them, can not substitute for evidence of witnesses at the pooling units. INEC stood the best position to provide evidences but the court rather than stick to normal legal proceedures of validating the evidences provided by the electoral umpire's witnesses who were at the pooling centers, rejected them for eveidences provided on hearsay. Moreover, the petioners even failled to prove their case on a pooling unit to pooling unit basis as required by law. Yet the tribunal rulled in their favour.
We are yet to comprehend what went amis in Rivers state. The Taraba drama began. Lets just assume there was no primaries in PDP in Taraba state. But how then does it become an issue with the judiciary that ignored a facet pf same allegations in Benue state which had an APC governor as the culprit. However, it is obvious that the PDP flag bearer in Taraba state had better credibility than his APC counterpart in Benue state. In that there was PDP primaries in Taraba, only that it was done in Abuja, outside the teritories of Taraba due to thesame insecurity purposes for which the tribunal that nulified the victory also sat in same Abuja, outside Taraba state to deliver its judgement. In Benue state, there was outright no primary election that provided the APC flag bearer but his mandate subsists. What else can we refer to as miscriage and rape of justices and total lawlessnes, arnachy, on the regime of a leader whose assention to power was ochestrated by a change mantra hinged on "FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION?" I am utterly left with an ambigious conception of the true meaning of corruption fight, if the legacies of our face for change are to be upheld. My question is, " are we fighting corruption or fighting perceived enemies in our jointly owned enterprise? Thought Buhari promised never to interfer with the activities of the both the Legislature and Judiciary? Why is our judiciary now acting like pupet? Almost just like a medium for actualization of the executive's aim. At the detriment of serenity and peace of the society. Be we APC, PDP or none. It's hight time we realised that the destinies of our great nation lie in the hands of our leaders but our hopes lie in our mouths. Shall we sit back and watch this ship steered to wreckage? Our voices must be heard. Lets demand our rights from our leaders.

Allright Social. But to correct your illusion. It wasn't the efforts of people like you that mattered. Rather the efforts of some of our colonial masters and beneficiaries of scrambling for Africa. Efforts of some western leaders who saw economic pointers leading to total emancipation of the Nigerian economy from neocolonialism. Efforts of the bruised American pride who failled in its atempt to force gay marriage on Nigeria. They were the efforts of the masterminds who ploted the Nigerian political scene to favour Tafawa Belewa in 1960 as a means of continuing their scramble for the Nigerian wealth. It is withing the efforts of those who persuaded Babangida to annul june 12 election without reason. Check for records. Those who presumed that the Northern mentality has not the-where-withal to drive Nigeria's economy from the shackles of Neocolonialism. These are by whose efforts, Jonathan was skimmed out of office. But I hope you asked yourself a simple question. What is their interest in our politics? You think they like you? International monitoring agencies have already acclaimed jonathan's administration but we disillusioned Nigerians were bamboozled to believe otherwise by an foreign orchestrated change mantra that we can not define. Let me clerify you. Jonathan as an intelect, was tactically blocking all the avenues of coruption and the powers that be never liked it. It is left to be seen how our change administrator will takcle this same corruption in a democratic despensation. Remember, this is not power from the barrel of guns.

It is a practical engagement that speaks for itself. We have all seen GEJ's humble efforts. Lets wait for the next four years b4 we will be able to compare and contrast the two. I only mentioned in my topic how GEJ's democratic principles stands to offer PDP a strong backround in Nigeria's politics. Meanwhile, I made mention of so many avenues through which the present administrattion has created more jobs but you could see and adress but one. Eventhough you seem not to understand the underlying principle of the YOU-WIN program.

Op, many of the Nigerians who voted the president-elect are non-partisan too. When I read posts portraying Jonathan as having lost election due to opposition criticism, it baffles me because, some Nigerians who support Jonathan seem not to understand the hardships faced by millions under his government in the face of looting going on in his government. Last time I cheked, Obasanjo's government created hundreds of thousands or millions of jobs in the telecom and banking sectors, how many jobs did Jonathan create? I've never witnessed any government where people will be stealing at will and the president looks away as if everything is okay. I personally think that it would have been foolish If Jonathan was re-elected into power, but Nigerians did the right thing.

You questioned the election in Kano and other states, but you thought it was okay, what happened in Rivers, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Delta etc? Do you see the height of hypocrisy? Just tell me you wanted GEJ to rig the election so you can tell Buhari to go to court, because if a 100% fraud-free election is conducted, GEJ won't get up to 40% of votes. He is not missed, believe me. Some even wish him prison, but I wish him to just leave and retire peacefully and never come back!!!
I really have a question for all of you hyping about employments during OBJ's administration and unemployment during GEJ's. My question is, if OBJ created those jobs with the telecommunications, what happened to those jobs now? Were the telecomminication companies closed down by GEJ that all those employments were lost? There are certain calculations we really need do atimes b4 joining the band wagon in propagating a course we do not have full details about. My opinion here is that, the jobs created by OBJ are still there and Jonathan added more jobs by diversification of the economy. He created more jobs in agriculture. He created jobs in railway. He created more jobs through the YOU-WIN program. He created more jobs through the SURE-P. He created more jobs by giving more licences to citizens in company operations. And we saw the rehablitation of some indigenious companies like INNOSEN group, IBETO; etc. He created more jobs in automobile manufacturing industries which were given licences to operate. He created more jobs in sponsoring NOLYWOOD's expansion. To mention but a few. If you add these jobs to those created by OBJ'S administration, I wonder why people would want to lie about unemployment under the present administration. And to butress my points. I am a sole proprietor. This administration has offered me an opportunity to expand and today I tackle a payroll of about 35 personels monthly. U must agree with me that the administration of public ownership is very complex and you must not expect the government to provide job for every single citizen. Even America has not been able to do so. Xenonophobia erupted in South-Africa as a result. Lets always try and be realistic.

Talking about rigging. If the incumbent is so intrested in rigging, u and I know that there will be no way, the opposition could have won. Do u realize that from all indications, Jegga was in favour of the APC. And the least the president could have done was remove him. The country will only cry wolf for a few days while he calms every uproar down with the forces at his disposal. But did he do it? NO! He choosed the side of peace wisdom and serenity which his opposition do no have. He had every evidence to reject the election result but puting the country and her citizens first, he accepted defeat in honour. When he called for a peace accord that was signed in Abuja, the APC were jitry and threathened fire and brime stone even after signing what they thought was a calculated attempt. APC treathened, if I could remember vividly, to form a parallel government which was such a treasonable offence. But a president who held the country first b4 personal ambitions, still allowed for peace. Well, as a man of his words. Indeed the electioneering process that brought Buhari to president elect was a complete mastermind of the electioneering umpire. Inspite of all the video footage of underaged voters in areas where the president elect has a commanding influence. The umpire went ahead to uphold their results. Even after ceeding upper hands to those areas already by providing them with larger quota of the PVCs than areas where the incumbent controls. Also providing faulty card readers to the areas where the incumbent has control while functionable ones were distributed to the opposition's quaters. Evident from incidences across the nation on election days. Our no 1 citizen's finger prints could not be read by the card readers whilst Buhari's was one touch. Thinking of how many people that were denfrichised either by none availability of the PVCs and or faulty card readers. Well, if anyone still has the inklin that professor Atahiru Jega is morally upright. One question that has kept bugging my mind is, why has the so aclaimed just, refused to pay the innocent citizens of this country who put their lives at risk by going to the hot boots to ensure democracy? Well, the dice is cast and the proponents of change has won. Though with a loosing attitude. For whatever foundation laid on false hood shall sure colapse. It is not yet time, and we are receiving disclaimers on the dubious manifesto of the change agents by same change agents. Meanwhile, the incumbent seems to have lost but in humility and wisdom, puting the country first. It wount be long b4 we will all join mouths to shout down this whole foundation laid on false hood. By then, the PDP will have realized what president Goodluck Jonathan has achieved for them. I am none partisan.

I was born in 1984. In one of the remote villages of the south-eastern region, called Omuma in Oru-east l.g.a. Imo state. Growing up, I experienced the severest kind of hardships that one wouldn't even want to wish his enemy. For we had to trake about four killometers to fesh our drinking water. Which was yet a filty stream water, located in Mgbidi, now Oru-west l.g.a. I managed my primary and secondary education under the die-hard determination of my parents who could not pay my school fees. School fees then were paid either 2-1 day to the commencement of exams, when it becomes obvious that I will not be writting my papers. Then my parents will either sale a property or borrow money to keep me going. Well, I missed my first WAEC in 2001 due to same finance and had to withdraw. Learned basket-making. And from the proceedings, was able to register for it the following year, 2002. My result came out good. But how do I dream of furthering? So I found my self hustling in the streets of Aba. From selling bread to ridding Okada. I saved up enough money to enrole for an ND program into Electrical Electronics Engineering in 2004 at Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri. After graduation in 2006, I went back to hustling because those with degree acquisitions had not gotten a job talkless of an ND holder. This is a bonafide citizen of the great nation with almost the best specie of crude oil deposit in the world. How has the government at this era helped to alleviate my plight or encourage my efforts? But I'm aware, the political class lived in affluence from the oil wind fall. I was never asking the govt. to pay my school fees. I was never asking for a scholarship scheem. But what I'm asking is, how has the govt. policies and capital investments hellped reduce poverty among the common class? Tafawa Balewa had been there. Aguiyi Ironsi, Gowon, Muritala Muhamed, Obasanjo, Shehu Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha, Abdusalami Abubarka and Obasanjo again. However, I began experiencing a turn around of of events from 2008 and till date, I've become an employer of labour with a work force of morethan 35 personels. Under the administration of President Umaru Musa Yaradua, there was an economy shift, though not very remarkable as a result of its short life. And today, after five years of president Goodluck's administrative idealogies. We have more in the middle class than bellow the poverty line. But that notwithstanding, international monitoring agencies has beamed search-lights on Nigerian economy in the past five years and found out positive pointers under same administration. Meanwhile, I'm not here to publish my profile, but imbued by the transformative achievements of our out-going president. President Goodluck Jonathan, who has not only left a blue-print for African leadership to follow. But also, has repositioned the Nigerian political scene from a do or die affair to a transparent, free and fair engagement. He has emancipated Nigeria in particular and Africa in general from the mental slavery of military dictatorship into true democratic principles. He has laid down a legacy that over 160million population of this country will be standing on to check-mate any incomming government. Buhari has more task now in leading a mentaly repositioned nigerians. Transparency and the legacy of free and fair elections must be maintained. This is total transformation.

This is what you tell a failure who is about to start crying.

He had an opportunity to work for the masses, he chose to side with the cabals, oil marketers, militants and others. Spent Trillion to give us peanuts. Looked dazed when Nigerians were dieing, etc.

Now Nigerians are in Charge. Any politician that lose his way will be kicked out. Am glad even Buhari now knows that.

From the North to the South, Nigerians are Unstoppable. Sai Buhari.
Dnt be too carried away yet. You may have to repeat same against Buhari in no distant time. I wouldnt know if I will be willing to accept the presidency of Nigeria if given, even on a plater of gold.
Politics / Buhari's Government Faces More Challenges Than Jonathans by BobNeli(m): 11:17am On Apr 04, 2015
I think it will be more fitted to forego all forms of celebrations relating to Buhari's accension to power for now until the going gets underway. Many clamoured for a contineous transformation while others went for change. And now that the dice is cast, resulting in the mantle of leadership falling on the elements of change. Remember not to be consumed in celebrations and forget the task ahead. I personally believe in transformation but not writting with any kind of sentiments. Am a bonafide citizen of Nigeria and always wish for our contineous progress. But the one thing that elicited this write-up is the over bearing celebrations that envelopes the political landscape. What are we celebrating? A pregnant change mantra or fulfilled promises? We must all realize that our out going president, as a man of integrity, tried withing the scope of human capabilities to transform this country to an extent, admist all challenches. Meanwhile, the challenges imminent in opposition to Buhari's government might be more. Remembering that Boko haram, though subdued to a surender stance, is yet to be decleared defeated completely. And Niger Delta militancy, the most of worries as it stands. I remember that OBJ in all his military prowess did but very little or nothing to cutail it at his time. Only the articulate diplomacy of president Umaru Musa Yaradua could. I'm yet bereft of ideas how the former dictator shall dim fit to tackle this impending chaos. Because the handwritting is so bold on the wall. So let's not celebrate yet.

This guy can go to the beach and take a jump.
Asari is a man of his words. Well, I want to remind us that this is the way Bokoharam was dismissed until it became a torn in the flesh of Goodluck's administration. More over, we can not say that this was not in the offing as the change mantra was on. However, bokoharam would be of a little effect compared to what this fight is going to cost Buhari's governance. Because Nigeria's oil based economy will surffer it. So dismiss it at your own peril.

Politics / The Winner Is President Goodluck Jonathan by BobNeli(m): 6:02pm On Apr 01, 2015
My humble heart is dusted for the one only true democrat ever found in the history of African politics. A man of his words. An one without a deceitful heart. After reading his congratulatory message to the president elect. General Mohammadu Buhari. I remembered one of His qoutes that will always be refered to as a master piece of public speach when ever politics is being played. And I qoute "My ambition is not worth the blood of innocent citizens". Not only did he say this but in the face of all threats from an opposition that was spewing fire and brime stone. In the face of an opposition that refered to its citizens as "dogs and baboons." he said and he delivered on that promise. Ever in the history of African democracy has an incumbent accepted defeat and congratulate his opposition for the progress of democracy. For the sanctity of the citizens' life. For the love of his nation rather than personal political ambitions. Indeed, the strives of those who change the face of the world are one like His. He has won for democracy. He has rewritten the content of African politics and changed the face of our democracy. He will always be remembered for this in Africa in particular and the world at large. Honour to you my president. I'll always live to refere you to as my president.

teacher asked his students,
1+1= ?.
A student stood up
and said 4.
A semi illiterate man passing by overheard the
response,
shook his head and said:
" PDP has killed us in this country Everything has
increased; transport fare, fuel pump price, cost of
foodstuff, electricity tariff,...
everything.
Even 1+1 that used to be 2 has now gone up to
4.
INEVITABLE CHANGE;
We must VOTE rightly
in 2015.
If SOMEONE is;
J = Just
O = On
N = Negative
A = Assignments
T = To
H = Harm
A = All
N = Nigerians
THEN we must also find someone who will
B = Bring
U = Us
H = Hope
A = And
R = Remove
I = Incompetence
CHANGE in 2015...
is inevitable.
Pls be patriotic and send to others.
You are still disillusioned as your fore-fathers

Politics / Many Limitations Of The Card Reader by BobNeli(m): 3:24pm On Mar 28, 2015
Indeed the introductionh of the card reader is welcome development. Infact it is the begining of electoral fairness in Nigeria. Thumbs up to Jega on that. But I have been thinking that this system of check-mate should have been introduced at the ballot papers and thumb printing level. Because it has become obvious that even as the electoral officers are busy at the pooling units reading the electorate's card with the card readers, an out of public excercise is also undercover, going on at the electorates' unawares. While they are reading the cards at the polling units, numerous ballot papers had already been thumb printed and kept for result anouncement. Evident from the arrest of an APC women leader that was recorded in Lagos this morning.
