this is a nice writeup, but I need to correct something, particularly your number 3 point.
Nigeria was not granted independence before South Africa. South Africa was actually granted independence before Nigeria.

Nigeria was granted independence on October 1st 1960
South Africa was granted independence on May 31st 1910.

You seem to have mixed up South Africa's end of Apartheid (27/04/1994) with its independence day (31/05/1910)
Wow! I personally I am greatful for this information. Thanks bro for the eye opener. Knowledge is power indeed. If nothing else, at least I have grabbed this knowledge from this discusion.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! The drama si (oh my God! I dnt even remember the spelling of is anymore). Sory, I mean, is getting underway. A..P..C!!! Progress. Let me pay for my ticket on time and take a front seat to be able to report this scenereo very well. Meanwhil, did u hear that Bukola Saraki is planing to steal a new senate standing order book into the house without aproval? This boy, u seem to talk too much. Who told u? Nevr mind, that is not my problem. After all I'm not a senator. All I know is that Buhari is fighting curruption. Yessss na, is he not? Ultimately, he is. If not, these currupt officials would have wasted a huge amount by now in paying the scam called subsidy and fuel would have been very much available at national price. He doesnt want to be part of that scam that's why we are suffering scarcity now. But I earmarked a N413billion subsidy appropriation b4 the senate? I dnt know anything oo my brother. But I do not beleive Buhari approved of it. It is a scam. But na spectator I be. I just dey watch. The only thing that has gotten me confused is that the power we enjoyed for about two months after Goodluck stepped down is now epileptic. Could it be that they were Goodluck's imputs that were sabortaged to credit the present administration? I cant answer u that question. This is a draconian rule. I still value my life. If u need answers on power, go meet Fashola. The one more thing that am afraid of right now is that I heard our foreign reserve is almost depleted while the price of dolar keeps soaring. Dnt wory it will come down. The law of gravity states that anything that goes up, when it gets to the highest point, must come down. Are we going to wait until it gets to highest point to comes down? How many people will survive it? Well, even if it is only the 20% elite of the population, Nigeria will continue. After all, Nigeria is overpopulated and govt might have its strategy of prunning it down. Pls oo, dnt be angry that I'm asking too many questions, as if you are the president to answer all these. Dnt border, any one I have the answer, I will give u. Ok, thank you. So now, do u think Inec should go ahead with a suplementary election in Kogi state? My brother, I wish I were a judge. But what I can say is, if the tribunals disqualify mandated candidates on the basis of none-primary elections. That means, votes belong to candidates and not parties. But my mouth no reach naa. Weting man go do? Make we just dey watch as the drama rols out. The only thing I can advise is that our constitution must not be made to contradict itself. I have seen in this country, candidates who crossed carpets and retained the mandate they obtained under their parrent parties. If those mandates were for the party and not the candidates, how comes, the candidates walked away with the party's mandates? Examples, Aminu Tambuwal, Rochas Okorocha and so on and so forth. Unless if the suplementary they are talking about is between other candidates involved in the election except APC. But come to think of it. If fresh primaries are conducted to replace the dead, does it mean that the first primaries conducted was nulified by the incidence of death? And if so, how then does votes casted for a nulified primary election stand?

Dont wory my dear. Politics is not all it takes to make a mark. There are more credible, honourable and righteous ways of making impacts on the world. I do not even see myself as vying for any elective position anyday because I have a better course to influencing the world. But if ever I'll, it must be by the demand of the people who have seen the ability in me and then call me to service. I'd also like to remind u here that anybody who says he wants to serve, and then spend years campaigning for his success, is not worthy of that position. I beleive that a call to service is a call to sacrifice. But when anybody sees service as an avenue of amassing wealth, thereby buldozing his way into it. Such service lacks merit and is a subject to scrutinity. Let me use this opportunity to tell u that one of the major reasons Nigeria still remains a third world country is because it has only had but two leaders in it's political history. Those two leaders were presidents YARADUA and DR GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN. Others were albatros and power intoxicated opportunists who have no business with leadership but rulership and intimidation. Our problems will continue to lie beyound our solutions if we are unable to decifer leaders from Rullers. America progresses because they elect leaders, likewise Britain and other developed countries of the world. But any society that refuses to forego tribalism, favouritism and fanatism for true leadership, will remain a third world society. Thank u.

This so call lawyers don't even know how to reason. INEC isn't conducting supplementary election because Audu is dead, they are conducting it because the election was inconclusive.

The reason for the election being inconclusive is because the number of votes apc leads pdp is not more than the number of invalid or cancelled votes.
And if they are conducting the suplementary election. On whose behalf will the APC votes be counted? If the candididate the masses voted died, are u going to pervert justice and divert the masses prefered mandate to another person at will? If Inec says it is conducting suplementary elections, that means the votes casted for the late Audu still stands for anybody from APC to take over. On common sense, my dear, judge it urself. Did the masses vote the replacement for Audu or Audu himself? In my opinion. I think what should be done right is, since there is no provisions by the law to cover such senario. Let the elections be cancelled and reconducted afresh. Or still concider the plea of Idris Wada.
Politics / Re: The AGF Erred On His Position About Kogi's Election by BobNeli(m): 3:08pm On Nov 26, 2015
The lopesidedness of judgements delivered in Nigeria since Buhari and APC took over reigns, provides food for thought. And one is mandated to ask, "what is the faith of the common man in a system of gross constitutional abuse and rape of justice?" only the PDP party has been loosing mandates certified by INEC while APC remain above board. In a system where court injuctions on rights to bail had been refused and the atorney general remains mute. Where if a judge delivers judgement not in consonance with the anticipations of the powers that be, He is removed upon uncertifiable bribery allegation and replaced with another judge who must act on a written script. If Nigerians remain adamant to these developments, a time shall come when a river of our tears can not assuage the situation. And we must abide by the Anarchy granted success by our own negligence.
Politics / The AGF Erred On His Position About Kogi's Election by BobNeli(m): 1:16pm On Nov 26, 2015
If the AGF qouted section 222 of the 1999 constitution without considering the technicalities of law, to imply that 'VOTES' belong to political parties rather than the candidates. How does he also wish to interprete the reasons why political office holders who crossed carpets, still crossed with their madates? A case study of the numerous switches made amongst various governors during the campaigns and even the immidiate governor of Kebbi state who was the speaker of house of representatives under PDP. But decamped to APC with the votes he obtained under PDP? I just hope our law is not being made an ass

One thing I'd like to ask u Ismax is, going through these points raised by the OP, can u tell me why we should still have faith and then give our support to these group of cabals who are resolved to milk this Nation dry at our expense? They deceived u with all lies and now they are confused in the middle of their deceits, but all u could say is support? Someone who during the campaigns told us that the country is wealthy enough to pay N5000 naira stipends to the unemployed; that our fuel is suposed to sale at N40 and not N97 or N87 it was at the last days of the previous administration. Someone who saw the potentiality of a country to give free food to her school children; we are talking about a group who told us that the country has the capacity of generating at least, 3million jobs annually. But the latest development has it that morethan 1.4million people have lost their jobs withing 6months of their supervision. If this government came on the promise of fighting corruption; what explanation do they have about the N25billion TSA saga? But I actually want to ask: why haven't this government been able to come up with any substancial evidence against the alleged loots of the former petroleum minister? If fighting corruption was the slogan, what explanation do we have to render to international humanright activists concerning the lopsided judgements of our present day judiciary? My brother, I do not understand the support u are canversing, for this gorvernment. Are we supporting the policy of ministry maggers that were orchestrated to favour a few cabals at the expense of the teaming number the masses who had to loose their jobs? Are we going to support the adamant behaviour of our president cum petroleum minister under whose watch, the entire country is suffering fuel scarcity like never before? The support you are asking us to give, is it the wintch-hunting of enemies masterminded to put up as a smoke screen of corruption fight? Pls I dnt want to go further than here for now.
Politics / Re: A Citizen's Letter To The Former President GOODLUCK Jonathan by BobNeli(m): 11:55pm On Nov 25, 2015
During the campaigns, I wrote in one of my articles that APC is a liability to this country, but the straight-jacketed fanatics dismised it with a wave of their blind followership. Well, let me reafirm my stance on that. APC, going by their underlying principles of deceit, can never but remain a liability to the nation. Firstly, it was crystal clear that the amount of money the APC wasted on their campaigns was far way beyound what was generated during their fund raising party. Having noticed their wreckless expenditure in the face of the meagre ammount they generated. It became obvious that they have borrowed beyound bankrupcy to achieve their aim. And knowing fully well that they had to pay back their debth after grabbing power, it became obvious that they are a liabilty rather than asset to have faith in. I wonder how any right thinking homosapien could not accertain that APC is just a group of cabals on a business mission, who only like fox, had to mount on ship's back to get at the chikens. When someone told u that he will pay the teaming unemployed population of this country N5000 monthly without even having any clues to the qoutation of the number of people he is talking about, and u swallow it line and sinker. I wonder. Do we even know the population of Nigeria, talkless of mapping out strategies to compute the number of unemployed? If we had been suffering from ghost workers malady over the years, how do we handle the issue of this unemployed. We do not have a data dipicting the employed and unemployed of this country. How do we solve this confusion of a promise? When power is obtained under lies and pretence, I wonder the good that will come out of it. My Bible tells me that 'when the foundation is distroyed, there's nothing the righteous can do.' Nigeria has been taken aback 37yrs. We had an option to progress from where we were.

Politics / I Only Hope Mr President Knows What He Is Doing. by BobNeli(m): 12:18pm On Nov 19, 2015
Right now, the Federal Govt's. Total revenue stands at #3.6trillion with the 53:47 ration of oil to none oil revenue. However, this ammount was arrived at with the price of crude oil at $60-$65 per barrel. But with the contineous fall in oil price, salling presently at $40 per barrel, there is additional reduction on the estimated revenue. Whereas, the FG has budget of #5.7 trillion presently. Subtracting #3.6trillion from #5.7trillion already offers a deficit of #2.1trillion which the FG has to borrow to accomplish its budget which contains 20% capital expenditure. Meanwhile, the president has just announced a push-up to 40% percent capital expenditure in the face of declining crude oil price. My question is: If at 20% capital expenditure, the FG is borrowing #2.1trillion, I hope Nigeria wouldnt be bankrupt with this push-up? Already, we are earmarking an #8trilion budget in 2016 which is about double the annual budgets of the previous administrations. With the reduction of crude oil price, thereby affecting the over all total revenue negetively. How much are we going to be borrowing to foot this bill? LET'S NOT FORGET IN A RUSH THE $32BILLION DEBTH CANCELLED NIGERIA UNDER OBASANJO REGIME, WITH THE AID OF FORMER MINISTER OF FINANCE. OKONJO IWUALA. In which Nigeria had to pay $12billion for the remaining $20billion to be cancelled. I just hope the present administration knows what it is doing.

Politics / Re: You’re The Real Saboteur, Go To Hell With Your MASSOB – Okorocha Blasts Uwazurui by BobNeli(m): 3:27pm On Nov 17, 2015
holysina:
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has reacted to comment by the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, that he was sabotaging the Igbo cause.

His Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemedo, in a statement yesterday said, “Although Chief Uwazuruike had made his claim and his allegation, the indisputable fact remains that the real Igbo saboteur is Chief Uwazuruike himself and not Governor Okorocha, because all over the world, the real enemies of the people are those who fail or refuse to tell them the truth”.

“Obviously, what must have prompted Chief Uwazuruike’s media attack on Governor Okorocha this time was the governor’s condemnation of the violent protest in the name of Biafra some weeks ago, and his remark that Igbo people would not use MASSOB as a platform to ask for what is due to them in an entity called Nigeria. But the truth must be told.

“Chief Uwazuruike had used his MASSOB to adopt and support the Peoples Democratic Party and former President Goodluck Jonathan when they held sway. He should mention one project the PDP-led Federal Government or former President Jonathan did in any part of Igbo land.

“The MASSOB leader was part of the hate campaign against the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari, while Governor Okorocha was telling his Igbo kinsmen to read accurately the body language of the rest of Nigerians. Today, it is left for Ndigbo to tell themselves the truth about who was the real saboteur, Uwazuruike or Okorocha?

“It is also left for Chief Uwazuruike to tell his audience why MASSOB went to bed throughout the period Jonathan was the President, only for MASSOB to wake up from their deep slumber now that Buhari is the President”, he said.

According to him, the Igbo cannot be asking for sovereignty in a country that they were one of the major stakeholders, adding that “if MASSOB had failed to achieve sovereignty under former President Goodluck Jonathan that they supported, would they achieve it under President Buhari they never supported? Who would allow them to achieve that? he asked.

“Truly speaking, the issue of MASSOB is a distraction. And Igbo leaders and the governors in the South-East geo-political zone won’t be part of that unnecessary distraction. The leaders and governors in the zone have resolved to work with Buhari to attract development to the area. And the projects have begun to come with the elevation of the Imo Airport to Cargo International Airport. Work is already in progress in the place.

“Governor Okorocha is an Igbo man and would continue to support and promote genuine cause of the Igbo within the corporate Nigeria and in the overall interest of the Ndigbo both at home and in the Diaspora.”
