diceman1:Do you realy understand the meaning of that word lies that you just used? Which among those salient points raised, is a lie? Are you not a nigerian? |
wellmax:That is the nature of APC supporters. What point have you made? |
StunningCEO:The only change we can see is from the implementation of the resolutions of the national confernce which president goodluck Jonathan is the champion. The opposition that is clamouring for change is totally against it, remember. We do not comprehend the manner of change that is contained in their manifesto. And they refuse to make it clear. |

wakacome:Well, my brother, judging from the little experience I have gathered from my sourgeon into the business world, I can attest to the fact that the administration of public affairs is a complex thing. Let us try and be realistic with our demands from our leaders. Indeed, from what I can see from this present administration, Nigeria is well, positioned for greatness from here. There are lots of challenges beseting the actualization of these promises they make. And on the occassion of our vissionable president, he inheritated more challenges than anyone else in the past. But admist all these challenges, he has proven his mettle by tactically and peacefully bringing the whole situation under control. Believe you me, the recently concluded National conference resolutions which beckons for implementation is one of the master plans of the present government to reposition Nigeria. And need I tell you that the opposition party, APC are unrepentantly against it. There are lots of loop-holes in the 1999 constitution that enhances corruption in this country. Which were some of the sallient issues adressed at the conference. But these group of avarice contingent who are bent on stopping at nothing but to scuttle the implementation of those resolutions, are the real problems Nigeria is facing, not a failled government. I want to tell you that if the status quo is not changed, there is little or nothing anybody can do to wipe away corruption from this country. President goodluck Jonathan, having seen all these, called for the National conference, so that Nigeria will be repositioned for greatness. Let us not join hands with these greedy few, who oppose change and yet want to use it as a smoke screen to send unsuspecting minds off the scent while hopping to reinstate their real manifesto after grabbing power to delay our destinies. Remember, they are all against the implementation of the resolutions of the national confrence. |
richol:they went to London, organised a political rally. Still sponsored opposition to deceive even the foreigners they went to seek their support. |
Boss13:if you read my last line of sentences, you would educate your self the more. "actions and words are two diferent ball games". The mandate is four years, whether you like it or not. Dnt live to cry over a spilt milk. Take your time by the fore-lock. The transformative agenders of goodluck Jonathan are there for the rational minded to see. The only ones that are not seeing them are those biaised by their political inclinations. Free yourself so that you can see. |
ayogabriel:however you want to put it, just be rational with your judgement. |
Judging from the timber and calibre of the APC party. It becomes obvious, the real reason for the get together of these individuals who wish to join forces for their common intrest. Immidiately after the call for a national confrence by president Goodluck Jonathan. Agitations arose against the opinion. And the opposition laboured tooth and nail to scuttle it, but in the long run, the mandate of the people prevailed against the avarice of the few. However, unable to admit defeat on their selfish pursuit, these individuals opposed to the goodwill of the people, and afore-hand, belonging to diferent political parties, agreed to joing forces in other to wrestle power by all means and put an end to the real transformation that awaits the implementation of the recomendations of confrence committee. And in a bid to deceive the people, they decided to put up a smoke screen of CHANGE, which is indeed, the opposite of their belief, to throw suspecting minds off the scent and hope to establish their actual manifesto after grabbing power. All we clamouring for APC and her pregnant change mantra. Have we asked ourselves, what is their position on the confab resolutions which is the real change or transformation we crave. We all know that the 1999 constitution, as a result of the disposition of our leadership mind as at the time it was drafted, offered a lot of loop-holes for our greedy politicians to siphone our economy. These loop-holes which made it impregnable for the powers that be to fight corruption in this country is one of the things that constrained our rational president to call for this get together opinion, so as to put the facts straight. But a group of these avarice individuals who are not ready to give up on their greed, are here fighting to make sure that the conferences' resolutions are never implemented. So that they will continue to hold Nigeria hostage with their deceit of change that they actually oppose. |
wakacome:Please, with due respect my brother, how many people do you represent? Far from insults. How indeed can you acertain that people's minds are already made up? Already made up on who? Goodluck or Buhari? Have you noticed recently on certain posts, where people denounced their allegiance to whom they were suporting to adopt another? Even amongst the party highrachy, crossing capets. That statement is not right. Also, may I remind us that two wrongs can never make a right. If Goodluck Jonathan did not attend debate in 2011, but we all know the importance of such debates and would as well, want our prospective leaders to come out and enlighten us about their manifestoes. Would it be right to dismiss it on the grounds that someone in the irrecoverable past commited such a blunder? Remember, no one is mandated on this. But the eyes have your actions under watch and must equip the mind with informations to work on. So we are talking about the reliability of the promises beeing made by our would be representatives. |
whitecat2:Exihibition |
Eggcelent:That kind of statement corroborates the idea and manner of our face for change. You remember, "I have atleast N1m in my account" that does not mean, i have been living ouside the shores before that time frame. Just to remind you that I have been into it since the inception of election campaigns. |
wakacome:. Thanks for your highlights. But my brother, can we actually realise that we are in 2015. And that the mistakes of 2011 should not be allowed to scuttle our dreams for 2015 and henceforth. Do you realize that the Buhari of 2011 is likely not going to be same as the Buhari of 2015? Asuming withing this lapse of 4yrs, our dear general became incapacitated, as we all know, age is no longer on his side. Maybe by way of mental degradation and its likes, wount it be futile on our part to entrust our mandate for a better future in an unconfirmed entity? The debate was quite one of the best ways to acertain his understanding of the responsibilities he would be shouldering for me and you. He denied us that opportunity, and here we are keeping blind eyes just in other not to contradict ourselves on things we have already wished to accept as truths. Negligence of duty can never take away it's consequencies. Let's always realise what we are doing to avoid crying over a spilt milk. |
whitecat2:Is your name not whitecat? Your contributions to salient issues only depicts your person. You either have nothing to contribute or live in illusions. Just as a humanbeing, you chosed to be known cat. |
Eggcelent:Can you butress your points with facts? Because I have lived in this country atleast for the past four months now. And I'm sure lettered as to the day today turn out of events during this whole electioneering campaign period. Have you forgotten that as desperately as well meaning Nigerians needed this debate. When the APC party snubbed the first organisation, citing, compromise, as the dabate organising committee were going to be a fedral government parastatal, that an indepent body comprising of renowned journalists took up the challenge to eradicate that fear, yet, Buhari and the APC party till today has not told us in clear terms why they yet ignored it. If I am wrong please, I want to be put right on these assumptions. |
Eggcelent:It is an undisputable fact that town hall meetings are party based rallies. That not withstanding, I watched with keen interest as the meetings were on, the manner of questions that were allowed, and you marvel at the level of deceits our politicians can indulge, to manipulate their ways through. The town hall meetings you are refering to are more or less jokes. Nothing serious. Especially the one that was organised in Edo state. No single person or group except for the more-like paid representative of the council of chiefs who merely inquired about the welfare package the APC party are readying for them but not the welfare of the people they (the council of chiefs) represent. Albeit he went ahead without waiting for an answer for his inquiry, to swear his support for the party. That kind of scenereo will only but satisfy your hunch about the organisation of such rallies. However, if anyone said he is leading without anyone following, he is only taking a walk. Hence, wishing to lead a people, you will listen and adhere to their request and not just yours. Failure to do like-wise is tantamount to taking a walk. So if the people demanded for a public debate, but you snubbed the request only to organise town hall meetings, it is cynical and disrespect to their sense of importance. We are talking about the Buhari, we all know. A leopard does not hide its spots. Deception has been one art of politics that can never be ignored. Lets be rational in our judgements and eschew baiasness as a result of personal inclinations. |
Two many questions, no answers on the cunny attitude of our "face for change." the chatham house adress has come and gone, but one question that is left untreated is, why has the general who stood at chatham house to pose a question, "Will you reject a dictator," although he refused to add; one who overthrew a democratically elected government, representing the mandate of her people. "Who is now, a democracy convert?" Well, the most righteous answer to that question is "NO". Since our respective holly books advice us all on the need for forgiveness. But then, how do we acertain that the dictator is now a democracy convert? Consequently, one of the questions that beckons for attention becomes; "Why delivering such adress to a population who has no mandate to offer, while refusing by neglect, to honour the yearnings of the true population he is meant by his quest, to represent?" If Buhari could stand at chatham house to adress a congregation of foreigners, how he intends to run the affairs of his father land. Why did he refuse to lend such audience to the call by his compatriots, to deliver a debate with his opposition? I think this is a cynical show of impunity that still trails the general's blood. Words and actions are two diferent things. While words are deceitful, actions are sacrosanct. |
Jimwalex:Words are difrent from actions. While words could be deceitful, actions are sacrosanct |
All the evils US has planned for Nigeria ever since declearing that they want to see Nigeria disintegrate by 2015 will but strenghten us the more. The duty of the US has been, working tirelessly to destablise or more so, divide nations whom they vission as having potentials to excel. They did so to the defunct USSR. They masterminded the execution of the former Lybian president. The aftermats of their plots against egypt which is still raveging the country till today is enough to teach Nigeria that we do not need the United States' advice on our political issues. US never indulges in anything that does not favour their greed. If I may ask, if indeed the US has anything up their sleeves for Nigeria, why did they pull out of patronising one of the best crude oil species in the world but increased Saudi Arabia's quota? Why did US refuse to render Nigeria any help in cutailling the most dreaded disease ever witnessed in the history of human existence. The Ebola virus? Eventhough, the manner of entrance of same disease was questionable by the Identity of the man who brought it in. Why did US for the first time in history, refuse to enter into arms deal with Nigeria, knowing fully well, it was going to be used in fighting the insurgency that has menaced the peace and security of the entire country. Even going as far as blocking involvements with other world powers? Has US forgotten in a rush, the Halibutton scandal? They are the masterminds of all the corrupt practises ravegging the whole world today. They are most angry at our present day government because we refused to be their stuge in suporting gay marriage. Knowing fully well that they are unable to manipulate our educated president, they are scheeming to remove him and bring in someone they can use to siphone our economy. Fellow Nigerians, lets wake up from our slumber and rise up to take up arms against this monster called US, and by opposing end their selfish influence on our blessed economy. |
Ever since America asserted that Nigeria will disintegrate in the year 2015, they have embarked on plots after plots to actualize their dreams. But God in His infinite authority has taken over the battle for Nigeria. First, America masterminded the influx of ebola virus into Nigeria and hopped to distablize the country by its divastating effect. But God intervened through the the gallant effort of our honourable minister of health, proffessor Onyebuchi Chukwu to calm the situation. Evident from the fact that even after WHO declared our dear country free from the deadly virus, America still went ahead and published pollos reading "Nigeria, Ebola Riden country". Admist refusing Nigeria their acclaimed anti-ebola drug. This however being their second strategy coroborating their screte sponsorship of Boko haram against the God's defended country. They went out of their way by not only refusing arms deal with Nigeria which they knew was going to be used against the terorist group. But also blocked our efforts to procure same from other world powers. Now they have resorted to using our electioneering to heat up our polity and create a pandamonium that they presume will disunite us and brings the nation to disintegration. Having noticed the unifying charisma in our president, they tend to down play all their numerous problems, but focus attention on our politics. Hilary Clinton, trespassing our sovereignty by uttering comments that are against international protection laws. They abruptly withdrew from patronising Nigerian oil in the face of crude oil price fall. All in a bid to frustrate our economy and incite the masses to blame it on our government. But there is God to see us through these hurdles. And we will survive them all. God Bless the fedral republic of Nigeria, God bless her president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. |
It is folly to teach wise where ignorance is bliss. When people speak, they betray their level of rationalism. Sometimes it becomes pertinent to treat cirtain comments with utter negligence, since responding to futile assertions may only but bring one to the level of the irrational speaker. Ever since governor Fayose of Ekiti state threw light on the true nature of Buhari's London visit. Many people whose mental capacity and inteligent quotient fall below per, started calling him names without recourse to his hunch. However, now that time and facts have proven him right, all what you hear from same people have become; "is it wrong to be sick?" well, my take on this is, no body says it is wrong to be sick, neither would any reasonable human gloath over another's ill health. But the truth remains that we are assesing the capacity of an one whom we are going to entrust the mandate for our better tomorrow in. The old and true maxim has it that, once bitten, twice shy. It is only a fool that will strike his foot against a particular stone twice. But that nothwistanding, what is wrong with enlightening the people you would want to represent about your true health status? Since we all know that it is never a crime to be sick once in a while. Leading the people off the scent with a smoke screen of attending international appoinments when it is obvious you are going for medical treatments does not reflect the quality of a change mantra. So please, before you sit back to ask; "is it wrong to be sick?" ask yourself first; "is the hulabalo hinged on the sickness alone," eventhough a good chunk of it must, since we are talking about the incapacitated nature of a man that is meant to suppervise our joint ownership for the next four years. What about the truthfulness in the change manifesto? Ask yourself. |
Ryder306:My dear, you are really sick for sure. |

Sahara reporters where never the brains behind unravelling Yaradua's ill health. The credit only goes to our our once and gallant former minister of information, late mrs Dora Akinyuli. And I want to tell you here cathegorically that Sahara reporters has given more false news than realities in their sourgeon. Lately, they were supposed to face a court action for fabricated stories. |
CHM11:And it becomes a sick man that will rebuild your failling nation. Just how much you have downgraded your significance. |
doctokwus:Doctokwus, if perchance you are a personel with the above mentioned broadcasting cooperation, please help us tell them that they have lost their lustre. Tell them we know who they are. A buch of compromised entities. Their informations are either sponsored of fabricated from the blues. They only represent a mouthpiece of their benefactors. If they think they are still saling us any informations, help us tell them, we no no longer regard their aticles in high esteem. |
obailala:Whatever you refer the FOI bill to as, the atrocities being maligned by the press and media today couldnt have been feasible or condonable as at 1983 to 1985. If you know your history very well. |
Jenkizo:Please, I'm not political. I'm just being objective. To rid this generation off manipulation, we must remain rational in our observations and contributions. You just reminded me of the AIT saga, and those are exactely what I'm talking about. |
Most media houses in Nigeria today will only realize how much they've rubished their carriers and credibilities for decending so low as to offering themselves as conduits for propanda in our political matters. Nairaland already looks like a child's play in its biasness of political inclination. When people are banned from participation for airing their freedom of association and expression. Some newspaper houses are already tendering disclaimers on lies they collected money to publish. Just as Sahara reporters which no longer commands a dime credibility for information disemination, other broadcasting agencies, both Radio, television and online media will soon become unimportant in their proffessional engagements. Their woes will have multiplied by the time the dice is cast resulting in abandonment by these politicians who are manipulating them to propagate their own selfish desires. By the time their eyes are opened, they will have lost all credibility and become unable to sale any bit of inormation to the public. I wonder what their fate will remain. Political lobying can only feed you momentarily but destroys your carrier in no distant time. |
ahaika23:There are two Mohameds that I know. One is the prophet of God and representative of Islam while the other one is the Lying type. Lie-Mohamed. |
This is an old and true maxim. And our fore-fathers who composed this bit of sage advise, did so from of live's experiences. However, the importance of an adage is not in the truthfulness of its content but in its influence on wise minds. Indeed, anybody can take any action but the wise takes a calculation for the reaction of their present actions before embarking on them. For this reason, it is very pertinent to scrutinize the offer of cheap food, lest it becomes a bait. We all know that the best way to catch a fish is by baiting it to the hook. As for me, experience has thought me that all that glitters is not gold. The propaganda of CHANGE that the APC logo carries, has been such an ambigious concept, dificult to understand from its manifesto and executive representation. Judging from the composition of the APC NEC today, one entertains more food for thought than for the stomach. What manner of change indeed are Nigerians expecting from a group that has not been able to prove their teansparency to the electorate. A group whose National leader has no other lagacy than criminal offences to defend, in Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A group that resorts to backdoor activities like not being able to publisize their avenue of finance. We Nigerians were aware when the APC presidential campaign bid fund raising was done. And the amount same campaign has engulped already today does not in any way reflect the meager ammount that was realized. Where did the exes come from? A change propagandist conduit who had its flagbearrer swear to oath before an honourable and sacreed court of justice of the land for a certificate he never had. A group that ignored the importance and sanctity of the people it tends to represent by denying them a public adress of its manifesto from an independently organised debate. A people advocating change while supporting the 1999 constitution that has only provided opportunities for the political few to continue to amass wealth on corrupt grounds at the expence of the masses. A group that never supported the national confrence and has since their propaganda campaign, refused to state their stance on its implementation. Thereby telling us that all efforts, both human and material resources towards that end would be nul and void in their administration. And I dare ask. Who are these that thinks Nigeria is their father's investiment and must assert their authority at will? Well, they said they want change. Is it a change of the constitution or a change of personel at the helm of affairs? But since they are in support of the already existing constitution, lets assume its a change of personel. And who are those to replace the ones we have aready? Thesame PDP bad eggs which the present administration had tactically fraustrated out of their means of siphoning the economy, and are now scampering for greener pastures. Seeing the APC as a den of hungry deceitful wolves in sheep's garments, joined them? Am still baffled as to what manner of change the APC is clamouring for. But on the contrary, the transformative agenda of the present administration is well detailed out in its manifesto and progress on ground. Our railways are coming back, the power sector is improving, gost workers had been houndled out of the system, fuel subsidy scam reduced to the barrest minimum, we are grdually turning into a producer rather than a consumer state. As we have seen automobile manufacturing companies come in and obtain licences to operate and already started manufacturing. Education for all being implemented by way of building more fedral universities and even alamajiri schools. Something that has never been vissioned by our past miopic leaders. Our gdp grown and projects us to the largest economy in Africa. The first time in history. Even the fight against insecurity which had been frustrated by the national assembly's refusal to appropriate bill for procurement of fire arms for the military, has now been under control. To mention but a few. You may differ with me in opinion but I am rest asured, Nigeria had never been this opportuned in leadership before. So please, let's be wise and use our votes to declare our destinies. |
Nigeria is too maturte to suffer militocrasy in the hands of illiterates, sycophants, tyrants and visionless change propangadists |
