what will happen to account of pple that are not in the country and the accounts are still active. pls i have accts with GTB, First bank and oceanic bank. i need ur advise ASAP b4 they do their rubbish like wonder banks of Ibadan because thats how CBN frozen our money till today.

@ poster, im sorry for you, u are in relationship now n this brat dey give u condition, i swear if u marry, na dis girl go be ur hubby. haven't u served b4, i meant u urself, dont u see all the rubbish those ladies perpetrated during services especially in the upper north with malam? well, if u finally agree to marry, i will advise u conduct HIV test b4 u sign ur "no go back" certificate in court. because i dnt see any reason for a lady to change after coming back from NYSC. such a stupid act. my man , pls look strait n dnt think abt number of yrs because broken relatnship is better dan broken marriage.

boboade,pls, wat were the questions they asked from you and how did u answer them?It is always good to prepare verywell.

there is no particular question at such, just compose urself. you will only be ask to bring out ur travelling documents and ask for ur mission which is student . they will just issue you 2yrs study permit, lol

@ lanreade, just come with everything you used to apply at the CDHC. You will be asked to present travelling document i.e.passport, admission letter and may just want to know ur mission here. just be brave and calm when response to them. No cause for alarm at the port of entry, the worst is to issue 3months study permit instead of 2 years if they are not satisfied with ur response. that means u will reapply after the first semester for extension in study permit

Well, just to inform the nairalanders that are coming to University of Alberta in January shld plz indicate here so dat we can know any assistance to render and anything u may need to know along. cheers

@ charlie, it is fortunate that myself and rare are in the same class here and i want to assure all nairalanders that we ve not forgotten our pple, its only that we re trying to adjust to the new system here. believe me the system is extremely fast and someone must be up and doing with them. im wishing you and others that are filling for the next winter and fall best luck.

@ Charlie, there is no need for any tax certificate because my uncle also gave me then but i ignored it since our tax system is ridiculous.

@ deneks, the minimum ur sponsor can have at the balance printout should be around 7million naira and if u are working too, try to have at least 800k or 1m as ur saving.
pls defer ur admission and put more effort to correct what they complained of.
make sure there is a true source for ur sponsor statement.
im doing this out of experience because i did mine three times.

@ Deneks, how much did u have in your personal saving and ur sponsor. the minimum

@ charles, i will list the basic things i used to apply here:

1. personal statement of account(2) one for my salary and one for my saving. these statements include banker's letter.
2. sponsor statement of account (company type) my sponsor is the owner and the balance as at printed worth of 18million naira.
3. letter from my sponsor
4. photocopies of my sponsor's visa which includes US, UK and canada to show his status.
5. letter from federal high court that states the worth of his company that worths about 1billion naira.
6. letter from my employer that states my salary and the number of yr ive spent with them and also states that they will reabsorp me when i come back from canada
7. transcript from my university.
8. my original university certificate.
9. my original marriage certificate
10. my original birth certificate
11. my baby's birth certificate
12. my original admission letter
13. police report certificate
14. personal statement of interest which shows the reason for degree and the prospects when i come back to Nigeria.
15. THE BIGGEST ONE IS THE REGULAR PRAYER AND FASTING EVERY WEDNESDAY TILL I RECEIVED MY MEDICAL LETTER.

@buchi, i was called for interview two weeks after my medical and the interview was based upon my immediate family i.e my wife and my daughter. My TRV was issued that day that means just 10 working days after my medical. Believe in HIM , They will surely grant u. it is well

Hey Nairalanders, To GOD be the GLORY!!! CDHC issued my TRV for study today after three attempts. To all expectant nairalanders, delay is not a denial. persistence is the watchword.

na OAU of course because i can remember vividly that i paid 1000 for first yr fees and 90 naira for accomodation, other yrs down to final yr was 500 naira each and this school carry weight even outside the country.

Make una help me thank God this sunday morning. I just received instructions to go for my medical today. I was tracking d return envelope number around 11pm last night ( I do that regularly) and saw that the mail had left the CDHC on Friday. The kind tension wey come hold me no even gree me sleep well for night and i knew I couldnt last up till Monday for d mail to be delivered. So I made some calls and was able to retrieve my package today and 'lo and behold' it was d instructions for medicals. I am trying not to get too excited cos it is not the end yet but thank God for this progress.Please I need some help with regards to the medicals. I want to do it in Abuja this Tuesday but I dont know if i need to make an appointment first or just show up? I tried calling d numbers of d Zankli Medical Center but I couldnt get thru to them. Please anyone that has used the Abuja Clinic, how did u go about it? Was it time-wasting? What is d procedure?There was an envelope included in the package- am I supposed to give it to them at the hospital OR use it to mail back the formed that they attached? Guys please help me out here cos I have only Tuesday free to leave work and fly to ABJ for this thing. Thanks in advance.

NB. I remember seeing somewhere on this forum dat a guy was denied after medicals. I hope that is a rarity. i no fit shout O!





@99dreamkids what was the guy complaint of denial after medical test then because I have never heard that b4 here. or can they denied based on HIV status?

The new acting president has reshuffled the cabinet . Andoakka has been redeployed to special duty ministry while Adetokunbo Kayode is the new minister of Justice.

Hey nairalander, ur advice is highly needed on this matter pls, i have been denied study permit twice based on the following reasons: that im not a bonafide student and that i will not return after completion. bt at the second attempt , they now said that i cannot sponsor myself and my sponsor is not oblige to support me. my question is this: can i replace my sponsor or i should add it and put another with it. pls advise me quickly because im about to send another application.

@mevis, i just came back from embassy now n the security man told me i cant reapply since i need to apply 3months before resumption. And what do u think I can include again based on the two reasons stated above for refusal. i ve already included my marriage certificate , my baby birth certificate, the receipt received towards land acquired from those land estate agents. House pls help , am confused.
My school is university of alberta, being one of the top10 there. im totally confused. globalpaul, aydrac, aywale and all the interested nairalanders in the house, ur utmost and quick response is highly needed.

Hi Nairalanders, based on my question aboven that i have rejected based on the 2 reasons stated in post above. can i still repackage my application again this week or latest next week and reapply since my school will resume september 6. pls i need ur advice quickly.

I just received the response from CDHC this morning and states that they are not satisfied that i will leave canada after my study and that I am not a bonafide student. Pls help what else can I do again to convince them. I want to reapply . I need ur urgent response .

@ Fidelo: im very happy for this kind of news on this thread. im also expecting such a good news soon. lets pray hard on this thread for all expectant of CDHC on study permit. God let my own too come quick o , amen
