Ex-minister Femi Fani Kayode mentioned names of three former Igbo girlfriends in an article he wrote a few days back to prove he wasn't tribalistic and has nothing against the Igbos. People felt mentioning their names was disrespectful to the women. He has apologized. Find his statement below 'Chief Femi Fani-Kayode hereby expresses his deepest regrets for mentioning the names of three distinguished Nigerian ladies that he was once associated with in his last article titled ''A Word For Those Who Say I am A Tribalist''. He meant no harm by doing so and neither did he at any point make references to having had any sexual relations with any of these ladies when they were associated with him as is being suggested by some members of the public. He was simply trying to emphasise the fact that he has nothing against the igbo people and that his friendship with these three ladies in particular over the years provided some evidence of that. For the record he has not seen Madame Chioma Anasoh, Chief Adaobi Kate Uchegbu and Ambassador Bianca Onoh in many years and he admits that it was inappropiate for him to have mentioned their names in the essay, to use them as a point of reference in a public discussion or to make any references whatsoever to the nature of their past association. All references to them have been erased from the updated version of the essay. Chief Fani-Kayode has reached two of the ladies concerned and he has personally conveyed his unreserved apology to them both and to their families for his indiscretion. He shall endeavour to reach the third lady to do the same in the next few days. Chief Fani-Kayode has nothing more to say on this matter and would prefer to remain focused on issues of national importance and not of a personal nature''- Mr. Bisi Lawal, Press Secretary to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode Maybe this press secretary should start writing FFK's articles from now on. #justasuggestion. :-) sourceOlokunbolablessing..com/2013/08/ffk-apologizes-for-mentioning-names-of.html |
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, said the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is lying to the entire nation. “This is a government that signed an agreement with us on January 24, 2012 to the effect that they would inject N100 billion as funding into the universities in the first one month and that before the end of 2012, they would inject another N300 billion. The same government did not put down a kobo to any of these universities. “So, it is a sad story that we are hearing now that the government cannot meet a demand of N87 billion whereas the government said that they would keep on putting N400 billion annually for three years consecutively to the tune of about N1.2 trillion. If the government is now saying it cannot meet N87billion, Nigerians should know that this is not a government that can be trusted for anything. ASUU described as a misrepresentation of facts, the comment made by Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, that the striking university lecturers demanded N92 billion as earned allowances in the 2009 agreement. Speaking through Chairman of University of Ibadan chapter, Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye, ASUU said the Federal Government and the minister are not telling the truth. In a statement, the union said: “I want Nigerians to ask the minister where she got her figure of N92 billion from. There was never a time that ASUU made a demand that is up to N92 billion. I think the 92 billion naira is just the imagination of the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy.” Dr. Ajiboye clarified the issue noting that the earned allowances jointly calculated with FG and ASUU in the 2009 agreement was N87 billion and it covers allowances for three and a half years for thousands of lecturers in Nigerian universities. He stressed that the N87 billion was a compromise made by ASUU by scaling down from N127 billion to N87 billion. Consequently, Dr Ajiboye called on Nigerians to join ASUU is saying NO to those whom he said were bent on destroying public institutions, because their children are not in Nigeria. sourceOlokunbolablessing..com/2013/08/you-are-deceiving-nigerians-ASUU-blasts.html

Awwal and the burnt hand The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman, Mrs Aminot Otun, for roasting the right hand of her seven-year-old step-son, Awwal Otun, last Thursday. Awwal’s hand was allegedly roasted for adding drops of liquid disinfectant to his bath water. According to Ngozi Ekwerike-Okoro, President, Child to Child Network, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, a distressed call from one of Otun’s neighbours at 59, Suenu Street, Surulere, Lagos saved Awwal’s life. Awwal was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Gbaja where another drama ensued as the doctor on duty refused to treat or admit the boy despite pleas that the hospital was built purposely for mothers and children in the state. According to his teachers, Awwal, who is in primary one, should not be allowed to go back to his step-mother because he is always coming to school with bruises as the neighbours who pleaded anonymity said that had been the normal punishment for the boy’s mistakes. Awwal was later taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment and he is currently at Juvenile Welfare Centre of Alakara Police Station. The story According to Ngozi, “On July 11, 2013, Awwal was rushed to the Randle General Hospital, Mother and Child Centre, Gbaja, at about 6:30pm after a distress call from neighbours. “He sustained serious injuries from fire burns inflicted on him by the step-mother who is now in police custody. “At the hospital, we requested to see the welfare officer who we were told had closed for the day but after narrating our mission to one of the staff she referred us to the chief matron. The chief matron issued an emergency card to the boy and directed him to see the doctor. “The doctor, however, refused to attend to the boy, because according to her, the hospital did not have enough space to accommodate the boy, as he would need admission for intensive care. “We pleaded with the doctor to at least administer some first aid on the boy but she refused. We went back to the chief matron who told us after consulting with the doctor that Surulere General Hospital (Mother and Child Centre) does not have the facility to deal with such cases. They said our best chance would be to go to Ikeja General Hospital. “We eventually left in disappointment and went to a private hospital in Mushin, close to the juvenile centre, where he got immediate attention and was treated free of charge. Awwal recounts ordeal The boy said he added small quantity of Izal disinfectant to his bath water and his step mother got angry and put his hand on a burning stove since Sunday and he was not taken to hospital till Thursday when neighbours called the Lagos State Child Protection Network who mobilised the JWC Alakara to rescue him. Information at the desk of Olokunbolablessing..Com is that the fiery-tale wedding of the highly successful Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele [popularly known as Jenifa] has collapsed! One of Funke Akindele's people told Olokunbolablessing.Com that the estranged couples problems started some months back and that it got to its peak few weeks ago when things got worse... The insider said Funke was actually deceived into the marriage my Mr Oloyede, who didn't revealed all about his (past and present) life to the actress, thus taking advantage of her simple attitude. Anyway, while Funke Akindele was trying to take it cool and go about their divorce quietly so as to avoid any negative reactions, her estranged husband, Mr Oloyede took to the social media to break the unfortunate news to the public. In his words: "It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me and ma wife Mrs olufunke akindele, we’ve both agreed to go our separate ways coz of irreconcilable differences. we still best of friends nd we 4ever remain gud friends". But he later dropped a very negative line: "Am doing just fine, gettn along without u, don't need u anymore in ma life. u d greatest mistake av made in recent time." Efforts by Olokunbolablessing.Com to speak with Funke Akindele was frustrated as she is said to be heart broken and hibernating in her mother's home. Anyway, Funke Akindele has finally changed her name on BB from "Mrs Funke Akindele Oloyede" to "Everybody loves Jenifa". **Parishioners recount how Catholic priest was killed for preaching against societal ills. Who killed Rev. Fr. Francis Chidiebele Okoye, a Catholic priest attached to St Mary’s Catholic Church, in Afikpo, Ebonyi State? And why was he killed? These are some of the questions agitating the minds of the parishioners and general public: Even as the anniversary of the gruesome murder of the priest holds on July 31, Fr. Okoye was slaughtered like a sacrificial lamb in the premises of the Church on July 31, 2006. The priest, who hailed from Enugwu Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State and shared an apartment within the Church premises with a fellow priest, was dragged out of his bedroom by his assailants, who took him to the back of the building and slashed his throat. A source said he was decapitated. “It was a shocking act of violence. It was a gory sight. There was no doubt that Father Chidiebele’s attackers came with the intention of killing him outright. They butchered an innocent man like an animal. He was almost beheaded. This is the height of wickedness and man’s inhumanity to man,” one of the members of the church stated. Seven years after, the killers are still walking free, as no arrest had been made in respect of the crime. It was gathered that Fr. Okoye’s murder might not be unconnected with his profound preaching against cultism, political thuggery and corrupt practices, among other social ills. “He was a thorn in the flesh of evil people in Afikpo. On and off the pulpit, he preached against the unhealthy moral temperature of society. Some politicians, in particular, were unsettled by his ways because he warned them against encouraging young people to be cultists and political thugs. Perhaps, that was why they silenced him permanently,” a parishioner, who simply identified herself as Ugochi said. It was further gathered that as torrents of tears flowed across the community that day, a heavy downpour washed away the blood of the slain priest. It was one of the heaviest rains ever witnessed in the community. It was gathered that at the time Father Okoye was being attacked, his neighbour was in the next room. While the former was shouting for help, the later was allegedly praying. In an exclusive chat in his residence, Mr. Francis Ibe Inyanwachi, head master of St. Mary’s Nursery/Primary School, Afikpo, disclosed that when the reverend father was asked what he did when his colleague was being attacked, he said that he was praying. “The priest said that he was praying when Father Chidiebele was shouting and calling on him. He said that he knelt down to pray. That was what he told us. Since I was not there, I don’t know what happened but I know that they killed him behind the house because we saw the blood on the ground in the morning,” he said. Offering insight on the barbarous treatment meted on the priest, Mr. Inyanwachi, who described the deceased as a family friend, said: “After Reverend Father Chidiebele’s ordination, he was posted to Afikpo as assistant priest, to come and help another reverend father. I think normally after one year, they (assistant priests) are usually posted out. So, when his mates were posted out, he was so good I think the reverend father asked the bishop that he (Father Chidiebele) should continue.” “He was so outspoken that he condemned everything that was bad or evil. I think that day he was killed, he had gone from house to house, cautioning some group of students whom I learnt were cultists. He was trying to tell them to come back, that cultism was not good. They said when he came back, he did not even eat. Then he went to Mgbom (a neighbouring village), where one of them asked him to preach to him. Thereafter, he returned to his apartment at the church. I suspect that his attackers were cultists, who didn’t want their members to be retrieved from cultism.” Inyanwachi, whose son is also a Catholic priest, added: “The room of the other reverend father was before his own room. I don’t know how they managed to know his room. They came into his room and brought him out from where he was sleeping. He was shouting: Father! Father!! Father!!! They brought him out and cut his throat or so. I think he died while they were rushing him to the hospital. “That day, I didn’t initially know what happened; it was my daughter who went to Mass at St Patrick’s (at Ndibe) that informed me. They said the Catechist announced that armed robbers attacked Father Chidiebele and that they should be praying for him. On her way to the hospital, she heard that he had died. So, when I was coming back from Mass at St. Patrick’s, I saw the girl, crying. I asked what was wrong and she said they had killed Father Chidiebele. That was all. He was a young man. “On the day his corpse was buried, it was brought here before being taken to his home town. It was announced that his people said they would retaliate on anybody, coming from Afikpo. I insisted that I must go. It was only the priest, my daughter and I that went there. We had to stay with the family. There were seats kept for the people of Afikpo in the Church but I alone couldn’t have gone to sit there. I went and consoled the mother. In fact, his mother was sitting in the front row and I went and touched her. After the Mass, we took his remains to St. Theresa’s Cathedral, Abakaliki, where he was buried. I’ve gone several times to see his family. He was very fond of coming to my house but he was a priest for the whole parish. He was a special friend of this house.” Effort to speak with the reverened father, who occupied an apartment next to the late Fr. Chidiebele’s the day he was killed, proved abortive. Our reporter called him several times on telephone but he refused to speak on the matter. Police sources, which craved anonymity confirmed the incident but said no arrest had been made since it happened on July 31, 2006. “You know, it is a murder case; so, it remains open. We are still working on it,” said the source at the Ebonyi State Police Command, Abakaliki. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

Diseased kidneys Healthy kidneys These days, it has virtually become the tradition while watching prime time TV shows to have programmes interrupted for a few minutes, not for product advertisement but for funds solicitation. Nigerians are now familiar with gaunt figures lying critically sick on the bed and plugged to dialysis machine begging for donations from government and kind-hearted members of public. The solicited funds usually run into millions of naira to: Cover the cost of temporary dialysis in Nigeria and subsequent organ transplantation overseas. The latest of such is the music producer, OJB Jezreel, who says he needs about N16m to treat his kidney disease. Physicians say when it comes to size, the kidneys are small. However, as Kidney Specialist, Dr. Mumeen Amisu opines, “The kidneys may be small, but they perform many vital functions that help maintain your overall health, including filtering waste and excess fluids from your blood.” These organs maintain the balance of salt and minerals in the blood, and also help regulate blood pressure. The online portal, webmd.com, warns that when the kidneys are damaged, waste products and fluid can build up in the body, causing swelling of the ankles, nausea, vomiting, weakness, poor sleep, shortness of breath, fatigue, confusion, difficulty concentrating, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, abnormally low urine levels, low blood flow to the kidneys and kidney cell death. “If left untreated, diseased kidneys may eventually stop functioning completely. Loss of kidney function is a serious — and potentially fatal — condition,” doctors say. Experts warn that serious kidney disease may lead to complete kidney failure and the need for dialysis treatments or a kidney transplant when about 90 per cent of the kidney function has been lost. “Once you get a transplant, though, you will have to be on medications for life,” experts aver. Though effective treatments are available for many kidney diseases, physicians contend that kidney disease can often be prevented. Amisu says apart from genetic or congenital causes — which are beyond the control of anybody — two avoidable leading diseases that can lead to kidney disease are hypertension and diabetes. On how diabetes affects kidney health, family doctor, Olu George, notes that when someone has diabetes, there can be excess glucose in the blood. “When glucose levels are elevated for a long time, it can cause damage in the tiny blood vessels of the kidneys. Once this happens, the organs won’t be able to filter out toxins effectively as they should,” George explains. Both Amisu and George say blood pressure is influenced by the kidneys and that how healthy your kidneys are can affect your blood pressure, and vice versa. George explains in-depth, “Hypertension causes artery damage, and the kidneys are packed with arteries. Over time, uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause arteries around the kidneys to narrow, weaken or harden. When this happens, the damaged arteries will not be able to deliver enough blood to the kidney tissue.” Experts say damaged kidney arteries will neither filter blood well, nor regulate the fluid, hormones, acids and salts in the body. Consequently, George says, “damaged kidneys will fail to regulate blood pressure. That is why we always advise people to manage their blood pressure, because it is an important way to prolong the health of the kidneys.” Amisu says kidney damage and uncontrolled hypertension each contribute to a negative spiral because, as more arteries become blocked and stop functioning, the kidneys eventually fail. Those who use drugs indiscriminately should also receive instruction about the possible repercussions on kidney health. Experts warn that those who abuse drugs or alcohol are essentially going out of their way to poison their own bodies. This concerns the overuse of some over-the-counter pain killers and using abusive drugs such as heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, etc. “In the process, they are placing an enormous burden on the kidneys. This is because the kidneys act as filters; and, like the oil filter in a vehicle, the filter provided by the kidneys, though powerful, has limits to how much it can take in terms of impurities,” Amisu says. Kidneys can be injured when an individual has an accident that results in blood loss, physicians say. George explains that, in various ways, “sudden reduction of blood flow to the kidneys, damage to the organs as a result of septic shock during a severe infection, or obstruction of urine flow can all injure kidney health.” Experts also say that acute kidney injury can result from pregnancy complications, such as seizures (eclampsia) and pre-eclampsia (characterised by high blood pressure and significant amounts of protein in the urine). Another pregnancy complications that can lead to kidney injury is the HELLP Syndrome — a life-threatening liver disorder characterised by destruction of red blood cells (Hemolysis), Elevated Liver enzymes (indicating liver damage), and Low Platelet count. Low platelet count reduces the ability of the blood to clot whenever there’s an injury. And if you are a marathon runner or an athlete who don’t drink enough fluids while competing in long-distance endurance events, you risk acute renal (kidney) failure that may result from a sudden breakdown of muscle tissue. “This muscle breakdown releases a chemical called myoglobin that can damage the kidneys,” George says. And women need to hear this: Multiple urinary tract infections can also damage the kidneys! Pregnant and menopausal women are very susceptible to UTI, physicians warn. They advise that to prevent it, women should drink lots of water every day, and urinate often instead of holding it. They are also advised to urinate right after having sex. “How do we prevent kidney disease?” you may ask. Simple: by eating well. A study by a group of scientists, led by Dr. Alex Chang of Johns Hopkins University, USA, reveals that people with normal kidneys who eat bad quality diet high in processed and red meats, sodium (salt), and sugar-sweetened beverages, and low in fruit, nuts, legumes, whole grains, and low-fat dairy are more likely to develop kidney disease. In the study, published in the American Journal of Kidney Disease, Chang says: “Unlike family history of kidney disease, diet, smoking, and obesity are modifiable lifestyle factors that we can all control. By eating well, quitting smoking, and maintaining a normal weight, people can protect their kidneys and prevent future damage.” A word, they say, is enough for the wise. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com www.hannaholokunbola..com

Britain will engage Nigeria on the bill seeking to stop same-sex marriage, British Prime Minister David Cameron said yesterday. He was speaking against the backdrop of the legislation already passed by the National Assembly prescribing 14 years imprisonment for same sex marriage offenders. The bill is waiting for presidential assent to become law. Cameron said yesterday “nothing should be off the table” when it comes to foreign aid and protecting equal rights. He spoke on a BBC programme. Cameron told the BBC that he would be raising the issue with Nigeria’s leaders. “With countries like Nigeria, where we have a very good relationship, a very strong relationship, nothing should be off the table”, the prime minister said. “So when we meet with Nigerian politicians and Nigerian leaders, we should be very clear about those things that we agree about and very clear where we disagree.” Mr Cameron said the UK has a “very good record on equal rights for lesbian and gay people”, adding: “we believe that’s right for every country in the world.” “The matter of your sexuality is something that shouldn’t be a disadvantage to you [just as] your religion, or your race, or the way you should choose your life “ When asked if UK foreign aid should be docked from Nigeria, the prime minister said: “We will have to have some conversations with them, as I said nothing is off the table and we should have these conversations, but we also have some very important objectives with the Nigerians for instance to deal with the appalling rates of poverty in the north of Nigeria which [is] part of a problem that affects not just Nigeria but the rest of the world.” The PM added: “But as I said, nothing [is] off the table; always prepared to have these conversations, and my view very strongly is that we should have proper equality for lesbian and gay people and that should apply everywhere in the world. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

Click for Full Image Size Residents from various parts of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have been coming to catch a glimpse of a baby allegedly born with a miniature Quran at 9, Oguntade Street, Shasha area of the state. Incidents like these are scientifically impossible, but residents of the area say it is true even though some of them confessed that they did not see the baby clutching the miniature Quran, the holy book of the Muslims. They were only told about it. It took efforts for P.M.NEWS reporters to gain access into the one-room apartment of the baby’s parents as a result of the crowd that took over the place. The mother of the baby, Kabirat Lamidi, a 32-year old hairstylist, said right from the conception of the baby, she had been sick. She said when the baby refused to come out after 11 months, she went for a scan where it was shown that she had an object in the womb with the baby. The Ede, Osun State indigene who said she had been married for 10 years, said she was shocked to discover that few seconds after the baby was delivered, she pushed out a Quran. “I have been hearing about such incidents and I have always insulted people thinking it could never happen. I believe it is a gift from Allah,” she said. She said as a Muslim, she was not even dedicated and did not know how to pray, expressing surprise that such an incident could happen to her. The mother of three said she had always given birth in the hospital but that on this day, she went into labour so fast that she could not move. “My advice to people is that they should henceforth watch their mouth. I didn’t believe before now,” she said. Mrs. Saudat Olawuwo, a staff nurse with the Shasha Medical Centre who assisted with the delivery, said she was called by neighbours when the woman was in labour. Mrs. Olawuwo with 17 years working experience, said the woman was supposed to put to birth on 16 May, but it did not happen. “By the time I came the day she was in labour, the baby was already coming out. So I assisted her. “After that, we were expecting the placenta, but the woman began behaving like one about to run mad. I was so confused. “The woman was shouting that she wanted to push again and all of a sudden, the Quran, wrapped in nylon and stained with blood jumped out. “Out of confusion, I ran out and called people who came to see. We also called a Muslim cleric around the area who came and prayed for the baby,” she said. Father of the baby, Luqman Lamidi, said he was in a drinking bar when he was called and told that his wife had delivered a baby with a Quran. He said he did not believe until he came and saw the Quran covered with blood. “I arrived home and saw a lot of crowd and could not even enter. In fact, I am surprised that a drunk like me could produce a child that came into this world with a Quran,” he said, adding that he had become a changed person. Chief Imam of Oguntade, Shasha, Alhai AbdulRafiu Opeloyeru Oyedokun, said he was the one who tore the nylon from the Quran after he was called to the place. “When I came, people were still doubting if the object was a Quran or not, so I tore the nylon with blood on it publicly and everyone confirmed it.” Click for Full Image Size Crowd at 9, Oguntade Street, Shasha, where a baby was said to have been born with Quran As the yet to be named baby boy lay asleep, P.M.NEWS noticed that each time the Quran is placed on his chest, he consistently lifted his hands up and would not drop the hands until the Quran is taken off. There was a big controversy in May last year following the alleged birth of a baby boy said to be clutching a miniature Holy Quran at birth. The baby was born at a white garment church in Mushin, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria. While some disputed the claim, others said it was possible. A large crowd gathered at 1, Sonde Street, Ijeshatedo, Lagos home of the boy’s parents as news of the birth spread rapidly. His mother, Mrs. Kikelomo Ilori, 32, a Cosmetologist, told P.M.NEWS that he was born after she had carried the pregnancy for about 10 months. “When my baby was delivered holding a Quran in his hand, the nurse said the Quran should be thrown away. But I insisted my mother must see it before any action could be taken,” Kikelomo, who is a Christian, further explained. Corroborating the story, Senior Rev. Victoria Yetunde Dada said during the pregnancy, Kikelomo was always coming to her for prayers and counselling. “I advised her not to abort the pregnancy because she might die in the process. Again, I told her the foetus was sent by God and will be great,” Apostle Mother Dada told our correspondent. Reacting, Medical Director of Bodet Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, Dr. Bode Tawak said scientifically, it was not possible for a baby to be born holding a Quran. “How big is the baby’s hand to hold the Quran? How big is the Quran? How did the Quran get into her mother’s womb? I don’t know how a Quran can get into a womb. But there are things you can’t explain,” Dr. Tawak responded. He said while the incident cannot be explained medically, in Nigeria many mysterious things happen. A Kaduna-based medical practitioner, Dr. Munir Yusuf said from a medical point of view, it was not possible, but added that depending on the size of the Quran, it was possible metaphysically. He explained that if the Quran is small enough to pass through the diameter of the vagina, with the child, it is possible. In the same vein, a herbal medicine practitioner, Chief Dr. Bola Adegunloye believes nothing is impossible, but said too much importance must not be placed on the incident. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

I have been through so many sexual harassment growing up from homosexuals. It is really frustrating, not all guys that behaves like a girl or look like a girl are gay.. Pandemonium broke out inside a Newark-bound United Airlines flight on Tuesday after a passenger started shouting and repeatedly mentioning the name of the now wanted NSA info leaker, Edward Snowden. According to one of the passengers in the plane, about 10hours into the 16hours flight the man stood up and started saying all sorts, including a claim that he was carrying poison in him and had poisoned everyone inside the plane with him... A passenger identified as Jacques Roizen and few others, including a flight attendant, successfully restrained the man but with fear that they may suffer more from the poison he claimed to be carrying him. The man, whose identity is yet to be revealed by security agencies, was met at Newark Liberty International Airport around by more than a dozen federal law enforcement officials. His hands were zip-tied behind his back as he was led out of the flight onto the tarmac, where several police vehicles and ambulance were waiting. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and a blue shirt. He is believed to be American as he was said to have shouted out his name, date of birth and Social Security number. He claimed he is an employee of a U.S. embassy in the Middle East. The authorities are still trying to establish if he has any ties with Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former security contractor who leaked classified information to the media regarding two US government surveillance programs. Edward Snowden, you may which to know, fled to Hong Kong on May 20 and he is believed to still be hiding out there. As at the time of reporting, Olokunbolablessing..Com gathered that the passengers in the plane are being studied if they would show any sign of disease or any strange ailment. source www.olokunbolablessing..com

"What he did is just disgraceful and a person like him could not be allowed to be part of a religious institution because what he did goes against all that Christianity stands for. Some members were threatening to beat him up but they were restrained by the church elders." The Pastor of Faith Ministries, a church in the Matobo District of Matabeleland South, has been expelled after her impregnated six married women who were members of his church. Pastor Derek Ngulube was shown the red card by the church's elders last month bringing to an end his reign of sexual terror. Pastor Ngulube is reported to have impregnated the six within a period of one year. His antics were brought to light after a visiting Pastor prophesied that there was an elder within the church who is in the habit of bedding married women. After a 'witch hunt', it was established that Pastor Ngulube was the elder who had been fingered in the prophecy. A source said on being questioned, Pastor Ngulube opened up and said he was indeed the one fingered in the prophecy. "He tried to deny the allegation but later came back to his senses and said he was the one in the prophecy," said the source. It is reported that Pastor Ngulube also revealed that all the women he had bedded fell pregnant. On hearing the news, the church's elders were left with no choice but to expel him. The source said that the husbands of the women that Ngulube claimed to have impregnated were summoned by the church's elders and had the shameful news broken to them. Contacted for comment, Pastor Ngulube said he was sorry. "I feel bad and I want to say I am very sorry for what I did. If I could be given another chance I wouldn't repeat the mistake. I also welcome the punishment that the church leaders gave me." sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

Nigeria's political landscape is set to witness a serious battle of some monumental dimension as the Senate has vowed not to succumb to President Goodluck Jonathan, OluFamous.Com gathered, on the amendment of the constitutional provision on tenure of office, saying it must start in 2015. Consequently, President Jonathan’s re-election bid is now hanging in the balance... The Senate Committee on Amendment of the 1999 Constitution have insisted that the single term proposal must begin in 2015 and not 2019. Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, told Punch in an exclusive interview that the date would not be changed. He was reacting to comments by the Political Adviser to the President, Ahmed Gulak, who was quoted as saying that the single tenure proposal was targeted at the President and first term governors. Ekweremadu, who is the chairman of the committee, said the proposed amendment could not be targeted at Jonathan but all Nigerians, who stand to benefit. Responding to Gulak on Tuesday, Ekweremadu said: “The argument should be: will it serve the best interest of Nigerians and help promote our democracy? Will it engender sustainability in the system? “Let us be objective and not subject it to people’s whims and caprices. It is the people’s assessment of the recommendation that I think will help us. Once we begin to have a subjective assessment of it, we are going to run into problems.” Also speaking, a member of the committee, Senator Adegbenga Kaka said: “I don’t know what our problem is in this country. As early as 2011, it was President Goodluck Jonathan who first proposed a single term that would preclude him from the race. If it was proposed, and our committee included it in its proposals to the Senate, what is the issue? “We, like most Nigerians, agree that the cost of running elections in this country is too high, what we have done is simply to say, instead of spending so much money, in fact wasting so much money on re-elections, let us do things differently. “This money can put to better use by improving the lives of our people. We should look at the message and stop looking at the messenger." sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

BANGKOK (AP) — Thai police found 14 albino lions imported from Africa and hundreds of other protected animals in a warehouse near Bangkok and have arrested a pet shop owner. Birds, meerkats, tortoises, peafowls, capuchin monkeys and other species from overseas and Thailand were found at the warehouse, police Col. Ek Ekasart said. They said Montri Boonprom-on, 41, faces charges of possessing wildlife and carcasses and could face up to four years in jail and a fine of 40,000 baht ($1,300). Ek said Montri owns an exotic pet shop at Bangkok's renowned Chatuchak weekend market and was previously convicted of wildlife trading. Montri told reporters the lions were shipped legally and were to be transferred to a zoo in Thailand's northeast. He did not explain why only 14 lions remained at his warehouse, while the documents showed he had imported 16. Thailand is a hub of the international black market in protected animals. While the country is a member of a convention regulating international trade in endangered species, Thai law does not extend protection to many alien species. Police also found a hornbill and a leopard, both protected by Thai law, which were packed in a box and were scheduled to be delivered to clients on Monday. "We have been monitoring the location for a few days after the neighbors complained about the noise from the animals," Ek told reporters during the raid in a residential area of Bangkok's Klong Sam Wa district. "And if you looked through the gate, you could spot lions in the cage." The animals were confiscated and will be under the care of the Department of Natural Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

A tired German bank employee fell asleep on his keyboard and accidentally transformed a minor transfer into a 222 million euro ($311 million) order, a court heard. The Hessen labour court heard that the man was supposed to transfer just 62.40 euros from a bank account belonging to a retiree, but instead “fell asleep for an instant, while pushing onto the number 2 key on the keyboard” – making it a huge 222,222,222.22 euro order. The bank discovered the mistake shortly afterwards and corrected the error. The case was taken to court by the man’s 48-year-old colleague who was fired for letting the mistake slip through when verifying the order. The court ruled that the plaintiff should be reinstated in his job source www.olokunbolablessing..com

Recently, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde reportedly said she inherited her ‘brain damaging’ hips from her mother. The piece of news was well reacted to by many movie buffs who gave divergent views on the issue. No doubt, Omotola’s ‘hips don’t lie’ because the ‘blessing’ has caused serious brain damages to some men who go crazy sighting Capt Mathew’s legal property. Blessed with cute daughters, it is expected that they will also take some things away from their classy and sexy mother. A pastor from Murewa reportedly took pictures of his wife's privaté parts upon her return from church as a way to inspect if she had had s-éx with another man at church. The man of God and 'Mai Mufundisi' are currently based in Epworth. Pastor Philmon Chitewe, who leads an unnamed church in Murewa, is alleged to have used force to take pictures of his wife's vágina out of suspicion that she was having s-éx with other men behind his back. As if that was not enough, Pastor Chitewe went on to chuck out Mai Mufundisi Olivia Rukai from their matrimonial house on accusations that she was demanding MORE S-ÉX and having a s-éxual relationship with other men. This was heard at the Harare Civil Court where Olivia had dragged the man of the cloth seeking a protection order against him. She complained that Pastor Chitewe preached what he did not practice and had turned her into a punching bag. "I am married to him but he is abusing me. It has been hard for me to leave him because I was afraid to tarnish his image since he is a pastor. But he has been failing to live within what he preaches. He accuses me of having an affair with our son. He threatened to take another wife despite the fact that we are legally married. We had our wedding in 1990 under Chapter 5:11," said Mai Mufundisi. Pastor Chitewe had no kind words or his wife accusing her of bélittling him in béd. He said Olivia told him that he was weak in bed and was failing to satisfy her each time they had s-éx. "She said I am not good in béd. She said I was failing to satisfy her in bed each time we have s-éx. I never chuckéd her out of the house but she left on her own. I never assaulted her," said the man of God who was allegedly accused of having poor s-éxual tricks. Pastor Chitewe said he still loves his wife and wanted her to return to their matrimonial home. He begged for the court to 'sweet talk' his wife so that they would return home together soon after the hearing. "I still love her and I want her to go with me after this hearing. I am staying alone and I need a woman to stay with. If possible, talk to her so that we can go home together after the court," said the Lord's servant, a sentiment that touched quite a number of people who were attending the court session. Magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti ruled in Olivia's favour and ordered Pastor Chitewe to desist from abusing his wife. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

It was learnt that the police from SARS at Alakara Division arrested Akanni along Agege Motor Road, Mushin during their random stop and search in the area when they found in his possession the gun wrapped in a nylon bag. When asked why he was in possession of the gun at the station, it was reported that he confessed that he used the gun to hustle because robbery was his business. When he was arraigned in court, he wept bitterly and explained that he promised to marry his fiancée this year and was hustling to raise money for that purpose before he was arrested. Akanni told the court that he joined armed robbery gang at a tender age immediately he completed his primary school education in Badagry and had no opportunity to attend secondary school. “I learnt tailoring for four years but I did not have money to open my shop. So one day I followed my brother, Tunde, to Mushin to hustle and since then, I have been in Mushin,” he said. He said when he first got to Mushin; he did menial jobs to make ends meet. He was a load carrier and later a bus conductor before he became a full time armed robber. Akanni said he was introduced into armed robbery by some men he met at a joint where he went to smoke indian hemp. According to him, the men introduced him to ‘bad guys’ in the area and they started working together before they formed a three-man robbery gang. He identified two other members of the gang as KG and Alobo and said their meeting points were at Akala and Akinbaiyi axis in Mushin. Akanni said the gun recovered from him belonged to KG who gave it to him before he was arrested. He said he promised the police to assist them expose other members of the gang and how they operate in Mushin area including their armoury with the assurance that he would be set free. But he said that the police betrayed him and charged him to court. Akanni said he was not sure whether he had killed anybody or not, but confessed that he had injured some people during their operations. “I don’t think I have killed anybody but I know I have attacked some victims during operations just to rob them of their belonging,” he said. He revealed that there are other armed robbery gangs in Mushin with sophisticated weapons and armoury and the most dreaded gang is the one led by a disabled man popularly known as Opi. Following the confession he made in in court, the prosecutor, Inspector E. Ayorinde, informed the court that he wanted to amend the charge and seek for an adjournment. The court subsequently granted his request and ordered that Akanni should be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons in Lagos. The matter was adjourned till 24 June. [PM NEWS] source www.olokunbolablessing..com

Tragedy struck on Sunday at the Trinity Spare Parts Market in the Olodi Apapa area of Ajegunle, Lagos, as no fewer than 150 shops, including their materials, were consumed by an inferno. It was believed that the fire was caused by an electrical power surge in one of the shops at a section of the plaza some minutes after 3pm. Our correspondent gatherred that the infreno started from a shop on the ‘B’ line of the market few minutes after the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, restored power to the shopping complex. The Speed Well Plaza is estimated to accommodate no fewer than 200 shops, mostly spare parts traders. A resident of the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “This whole incident started when PHCN restored power here around 1.00p.m. “Not long after that, I saw a thick smoke coming from one of the shops on B line, though I didn’t know the fire was going to be this big and spread to other parts of the plaza.” Some of the affected traders, who spoke to our correspondent amid sighing, expressed shock at the mid-Sunday fire. They lamented the extent of the destruction, adding that for them to get back to business, the governmentr would need to assist them. A distressed trader, Mr. Izuchukwu Agwu, said, “I am finished. As you are seeing me here, I have lost everything I have to this fire incident. “Unless something is done, I am heading back to the village and you know what it means – suicide. I sleep in my shop and I have no other business here.” He added, “I was lucky not to have been in there when the fire started. Who knows, I might have been burnt. Now, what else do I have? I am heading back to the village tonight.” Policemen from Trinity Police Station with other security personnel provided security at the plaza as fire fighters from the Lagos State Fire Service and those believed to be from Julius Berger Plc battled to put out the ragging inforeno. The Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe, explained that the fire was aggravated by the inflammable materials stored in most of the shops in the spare parts market.

Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement Unit) says it has begun a fresh crackdown on touts, popularly called agberos, who collect illegal dues outside motor parks. Task Force Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, said on Sunday that since the state Road Traffic Law 2012 prohibits collection of dues by union members and others outside their parks, the task force had a duty to enforce it. He said, “The government will not allow miscreants to behave lawlessly. There is no room for miscreants and criminals in Lagos State because we will make life uncomfortable for them.” Sulaiman said the task force arrested 46 agberos between Mile 12 and Agric Bus stop on Ikorodu Road, who were collecting illegal dues. He said, “Magistrate Jadesola Adeyemi of the Special Offences Court in Alausa sentenced the 46 miscreants to 50-hour community service for constituting an environmental menace. “We believe that the punishment will serve as a deterrent to others who might want to constitute a menace to law-abiding Lagosians.” The task force boss said the unit’s officials had been going round the state in under-cover vehicles to make it easy for them to nab violators of the traffic law. He said, “They (agberos) should stop collecting illegal dues from commercial vehicles outside the parks. They left the road before and are now back and we are after them.” The PUNCH had on Tuesday published an expose on the return of the agberos on Lagos roads despite the traffic law. It was alleged that the agberos obeyed the restriction order for only one month. sourcewww.olokunbolablessing..com

Two weeks after 35 governors converged on Abuja to pick the chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, the controversy still rages. At present, there are two chairmen of the forum. While Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who won the election, is insisting that he is the authentic Chairman, Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang, who was affirmed by some other governors after the election, said he is the only chairman. And each of the governors claiming to be the true leader of NGF has supporters... In the election held on Friday, May 24, Amaechi polled 19 votes, while Jang garnered 16. Some governors, led by Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio, who had earlier secured endorsement for Jang, from the Northern Governors’ Forum, South South Governors Forum and South East Governors Forum, had come out of the meeting to declare that Jang was their chairman. They had released a resolution signed by 19 governors affirming the Plateau governor as NGF Chairman. Following the disputed victory of Amaechi, the NGF is split. Indeed, since after the election, the polity has been embroiled in crisis. For one, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC), citing Governor Amaechi’s alleged refusal to obey the directives of the state’s chapter of the party to reinstate a council chairman, had bore its fangs. Rising from an emergency meeting, the NWC clamped suspension on Amaechi. Despite the party’s action, Amaechi appears undeterred. He had gone to court to challenge this and did get an order stopping the PDP from taking further action against him. Meanwhile, Jang has convened a meeting of the NGF, which had in attendant governors in his camp. He had also commissioned a new secretariat as well as visited President Goodluck Jonathan. Fresh facts on disputed election Saturday Sun gathered that there was an election on May 24, whose results gave Amaechi victory. Before the election, it was gathered, governors had shouting bouts on whether the election would hold or not. While governors, who supported Amaechi, especially from the opposition political party, insisted there must be an election, others in Jang’s faction wanted an affirmation. Sources at the meeting revealed that the argument was so intense that some governors, especially in Jang’s camp, contemplated a walkout. Eventually, when it was agreed that there would be an election, the Jang group asked Amaechi to step down, so that another chairman would act as chairman and conduct the election. It was gathered that Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who had stated, last week, that Amaechi is the duly elected NGF chairman, had persuaded the Rivers State governor to step aside for the election, but he refused. Sources said that one of the governors even moved a motion for the former exco to be dissolved, so that Amaechi would step down, but the Rivers governor remained adamant and asked the Director General of the NGF, Mr. Asishana Okauru, to start distributing ballot papers for the election. With the ballot papers distributed, the governors were required to tick beside the name of the person they voted for. And Amaechi polled 19 votes, to Jang’s 16. Some governors and past governor told Saturday Sun that the May 24 election was the first time the chairmanship of the NGF was ever decided with votes. In the past, the governors have always used consensus to decide who would pilot the affairs of the forum. A governor, who does not want his name in print, stated that past chairmen of the forum had been removed without much ceremony. He stated: The first chairman of the governors’ forum was Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi of Nasarawa State. The day he was removed as chairman, we had a normal meeting and one governor just said that it was time for Adamu to go. Before you know it, others supported and a change was effected. Akwa Ibom State Governor, Victor Attah, was then made chairman. But the day he was removed, it was more dramatic. We had gone on a recess and were having lunch. Attah went to ease himself in the toilet when someone said that he should be changed. When he returned, the governors present had agreed that Attah should go. “With Attah removed, Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State was made chairman and he was there for two years. When he handed over to Bukola Saraki of Kwara, it was also by consensus. It was in a meeting in Benin, and Igbinedion just announced to those present that Saraki was taking over from him.” The governor stated that it was after the change of guards in Benin, from Igbinedion to Saraki, that governors decided to formalise the leadership change. A committee, it was gathered, was set up to study the United States Governors Forum and draft a constitution. Members of the committee include Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Sullivan Chime of Enugu and other lawyers among the governors. Sources revealed that the committee adopted the US Governors Forum constitution, which stipulates that the vice chairman of the forum would take over from the chairman, after two years. When this was agreed, it was gathered, Saraki was the chairman, while Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi, was vice chairman. Violation of group’s constitutional provision Competent sources told Saturday Sun that when it was time for Saraki to step down, in 2011, PDP governors insisted that the NGF chairman must come from the party. This had technically knocked Obi out. However, South East governors were asked to nominate somebody from the zone to take over from Saraki. Saturday Sun got a letter written and signed by four South East governors, in 2011 nominating Governor Obi as their choice. The letter, signed by Barrister Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Theodore Orji (Abia), Martins Elechi (Ebonyi) and Ikedi Ohakim (Imo), nominated Obi as their choice of NGF chairman and asked the forum to accept it. The letter was addressed to Saraki. It was gathered that at a meeting in Ilorin, where Saraki was to hand over, seven governors were in attendance as well as six deputy governors. And since PDP South East governors refused to take over, insisting that Governor Obi was their choice, the post was rezoned to South South. And Amaechi was picked. The re-election saga If the NGF adopted the US Governors’ Forum constitution, which stipulates one term, political watchers are asking questions on why Amaechi sought re-election. Members of the Governors Jang faction said that the constitution may have been changed without the governors’ approval. According to them, when Amaechi wanted to register the NGF with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), they were told that the constitution needed to be presented. They alleged that the constitution may have been changed to provide for re-elected. According to one of the governors in the Jang faction: “There was no time governors sat to look at the constitution and okay it. Amaechi told us that the constitution was needed for the purpose of registration of the NGF. Nobody paid much attention, as to the content, since we had agreed that we were adopting the US Governors Forum constitution.” APC’s role in the matter Competent sources said that governors in the opposition parties were the ones that ensured that Jang lost in the election. It was gathered that the governors, in Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigeria’s Peoples Party (ANPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), who are working for the registration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), agreed that all of them would attend the meeting. Checks revealed that the meeting of May 24 was the first time 35 states were ever represented in the meeting. In the past, the meeting hardly had up to 15 governors/deputy governors in attendance. And the meeting had always held, since the required quorum is 12. Political analysts believe that the APC governors have seen the NGF crisis as a way to reap from division in PDP, towards 2015 elections. Leaders of the party are upbeat about winning the presidential election in 2015. They believe that the implosion of the PDP would make this easier. One of the leaders of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said in Zaria, where a higher institution honoured him, that with the outcome of the NGF election, Nigerians should imagine what would happen in 2015. It was gathered that top APC members held social parties to celebrate the victory of Amaechi at the NGF. They interpreted Amaechi’s victory to mean that the PDP leaders are already losing grip, since the party could not get all its governors to speak with one voice. A leading politician in PDP told Saturday Sun that those celebrating the victory of Amaechi are politically naiïve. He said: “ In the first place, does the yet-to-be registered APC look to you like a party that can survive? Let Nigerians wait until the party produces the presidential candidate before calling it a party. It is like bringing goats, lions and other animals under the same roof. The signs of disagreement are already revealing itself in that party. One of the parties wants to dominate the other and I can tell you that one of the parties is a reluctant partner. They are performing experiment with that party. Most of the parties involved have plan B. They can never trust each other. “Secondly, when President Goodluck Jonathan declared emergency rule in three states, one of the parties involved in the merger decried it and called on legislators not to support it. The legislators ignored the party and supported the emergency declaration on patriotic grounds. Some of the parties involved in the merger actually publicly stated that they supported it. That tells you that those they bank on are independent minded. They will be disappointed at the end of the day because the PDP has always weathered the storm and all attempts to form one party from many parties failed since independence. Not even the alliance of those involved in the merger can succeed.” The party chief explained that the inordinate ambition of some PDP governors has made them blind and the party knows details of their treacherous acts of hobnobbing with opposition parties, with the ultimate aim of destabilising the party before defecting. He wandered how those banking on the ticket of APC could hope to secure the ticket. “Look at it from this angle. You don’t need a prophet to tell you the role of the opposition and the collaboration of some PDP governors after the PDP Governors Forum reached agreement to present Governor Jang as the consensus candidate. When 19 governors reached a consensus, how did 19 become 16? We heard of how governors in the opposition turned themselves to tough guys while trying to subvert the established practice of reaching consensus by the forum. You can imagine the role of those President Jonathan referred to as rascals in the past. The PDP will remain intact?” The Obasanjo’s interest in 2015 polls Political observers believe that the NGF crisis has a lot to do with the PDP presidential ticket for 2015. The thinking is that the triumph of Amaechi may make tit difficult for Jonathan to pick the PDP ticket easily. Others believe that Jang’s chairmanship of NGF would make things easy for Jonathan. However, those who have followed the activities of NGF over the years say that the chairmanship of the forum will not make any difference in the choice of who picks the ticket. They cite the 2011 election when Saraki was chairman of NGF and yet could not get the governors’ support in his bid for the presidency. As 2015 draws nearer, it is believed that President Jonathan is doing everything to ensure that he picks the PDP ticket. Those in his camp think that he would get the ticket. They point to the fact that all the governors who are with Jang in the NGF are PDP members, while only a few of them in the party are with Amaechi, whose big support base is among the opposition governors. Feelers from the North, however, indicate that political leaders in the zone want to make a bid at 2015 presidency. In this regard, some politicians from the North have been mentioned as likely contestants in PDP. They include Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, who is believed to be working with Amaechi in this project. Others are Governor Babangida Aliyu and Rabiu Kwankwaso. It’s believed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is one of those egging Lamido on to vie for the president. He came short of saying this recently, when he eulogised the Jigawa governor, saying: For Sule Lamido however, we found a job for him, he was able, willing and competent to do the job.” The Amaechi-Jonathan war The general impression is that the presidency is against Amaechi. Some say that this is why the Rivers governor has been having one problem or another with the authorities. Recently, the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) grounded the state’s aircraft. Not long after that, the court sacked the PDP Rivers exco and members of a faction opposed to Amaechi took over. Last week, Amaechi was suspended by the PDP NWC for his failure to reinstated sacked local government chairman. Investigations revealed that South South leaders are the ones much angry with Amaechi over his perceived romance with northern politicians towards 2015 elections. Leader of the Ijaw people, Chief Edwin Clark, is one of those not happy with him, but he would not want anybody to say that President Jonathan is fighting the governor. Clark had told this reporter: “If he (Amaechi) wants to contest for president, he is free to do so as deputy to anybody. It is a free world. But it is wrong to say that the President who is the Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces is fighting the Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi. What is happening is that the party in the state had problems. It is an internal problem within the state.” Former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Solomon Alamieyeseigha, on his part, said that Amaechi should not fight with the president, adding: “I told him (Amaechi) face to face that it is unwise to fight the president because after God, it is the presidency.” But is President Goodluck Jonathan really next to God in Nigeria? What do you think? source www.olokunbolablessing..com

Whatever is between them, I hope they get over it soon. See the tweet and video below: source www.olokunbolablessing..com
