nisai:Apart from Lagos, which others states in your region are actually developed? leave aside your "but Igbos troop in millions to yorubaland" rhetorics or some oluwole rubbish stats your brother in NBS concocted. Bring ace and tangible metrics to prove that states like Osun, Ondo, Ogun, and Oyo are developed. |

35824L:Your Aare ona kakanfo Gani Adams masterminded the slaughter of hundreds of Hausas during this time as OPC leader... the memories are still fresh and the facts are sacrosanct. Yet he was rewarded with a high office and political sponsorships... you yaribanza pigs are the worst thing to happen to Nigeria when it comes to dishing out lies and propaganda. But you've met more than your match in Igbos, we're your medicine. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:48pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
Arrewa:Oh... so I have to merely "travel" and probably sight-see the less developed areas in the North or East to form a conclusively proven theory as to which region is poorer than the other, according to your logic? Wow... I'll surely look to make this fact-finding trips soon then. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:41pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
fulanimafia:You and Arrewa have been reeling out these assertions with not One single statistical proof... Are we going to go with the researched data provided by more credible bodies worldwide or what fulanimafia and Arrewa deduced as facts? honestly this is getting more tiring than I expected, abeg have a good day. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:39pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
Arrewa:Now that's a big take Ok make it easier for the sake of the conversation.... provide your facts to back up that assertion? I'm getting tired of your pointless drivels already. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:37pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
fulanimafia:Yet your postulations don't agree with all the statistical reviews which have placed your states per geopolitically on the lowest cadre (even with all the infrastructural advantages you listed). I mean even if we have to harp about infrastructures... don't forget the North has a larger landmass, arguably enjoys more federal allocations than the SE which has since the post civil war era remained the most disadvantaged and maligned region in Nigeria when its comes to Federal investments, allocations and projects in Nigeria. This isn't some " always playing the victims" narrative , but pure and undiluted facts. Majority of the infrastructures built in the East today were carried out by the Igbos themselves, with little or no government support including our own leaders... unlike your region that has always had to rely on the center for literally everything. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:29pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
Arrewa:Another emotional response, no substance of factual submissions once again, surely we can't have a intelligent conversation. I recognize there exist poverty and backwardness in the SE as is the case nationwide, but we are talking about the proportionality here... if we have to do it the number ratio way, I would easily tell you that for every 5 poor and backward situations in the East... There are probably 20 more across the North. So we are still saying the same thing in essence--which is that there's no indices you can mention where the North is better than the SE, NONE whatsoever. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 2:14pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
fulanimafia:List the areas where the North is better than the SE... lets stop all the cul-de-sacs and get down to the basics. 1 Like |

Arrewa:Your rebuttals unlike fulanimafia have mostly been emotive and devoid of measured inputs of facts. Let me posit the simple question to you as someone earlier challenged you to, On what basis, aspects, indices (facts and figures) and metrics are the North "far better" than the SE? provide your facts through any researched contents available. It's within your prerogative to call the NBS stats fake etc, but lots of credible information from international bureaus done on Nigerias sustainability index, poverty stats etc have always highlighted how poorly the Northern states in all its geopolitical zones have fared compared to the SE. What other facts do you want to have? |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Soldiers Tried To Shoot At IPOB Members To Disperse Them... by Bobonnukwu: 1:55pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
helinues:Where's your proof that the South East people are the informants for the security forces? I'm not sure you've been to the East in recent times... if there was any support and sympathy for the security forces in the East in their "fights" against the Ipob organization, it has surely disappeared completely with the ways Igbo youths are been gunned down by your armed forces... many of the people killed in Enugu weren't even Ipob members, but innocent passer-bys minding their own business. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Soldiers Tried To Shoot At IPOB Members To Disperse Them... by Bobonnukwu: 1:51pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
helinues:Go and proscribe the Fulani herdsmen and bandits ravaging your dear nation FIRST, Ipob is an organization that doesn't share in your ideology of One Nigeria... and they are well within their rights to believe in what they want to believe. Now shooting them continously albeit extrajudicially only exacerbates the situation, and it will get to the point where you will be required to enlist in the Nigerian army to fight for one Nigeria when it gets out of hand. |

IamWonderful:Even a half-wit can clearly tell from the intonation of the person making the video and the scenery of the environment that the incident took place in the East. And its funny how you throw in the ration game now, seems like you are disappointed your armed heroes didn't just spray those boys with bullets right? I mean they seemed eager for engagement with the way they fearlessly advanced on the unarmed protesters with their guns blazing... seems like they got more than they bargained for this time. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Soldiers Tried To Shoot At IPOB Members To Disperse Them... by Bobonnukwu: 1:43pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
helinues:It seems you're so enthusiastic about shooting at unarmed IPOB "terrorists", why not just make yourself useful by enlisting in the Nigerian Army so you fulfill your heart desires? seeing as your brave and well armed soldiers ran away like poor kittens when the "terrorists" charged at them... I'm sure you must wish you were the uniformed one with the gun right now. |
Politics / Re: Beware Hausa And Arewa Minorities by Bobonnukwu: 12:46pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
fulanimafia:I see and understand your points which you detailed articulately. But how can you explain the other telling factors (outside of the population and low federal allocation excuses you used) to explain the fact the Northern states for years now have continued to underperform in all the academic indexes despite having the lowest cut off marks for all their institutions? surely that's not a "population" or HDI type problem to use and underpin your explanations. Your region has produced the more Presidents, legislators both at Federal and state levels, even Military rulers and definitely receive larger federal allocations than almost all states in the East (if I'm not mistaken), yet perform very poorly on the sustainability of basic standards of living... it's surely a problem beyond just the scope you preen with. 1 Like |

Politics / I'm Officially Retiring From Tribalism... by Bobonnukwu: 6:14pm On Jul 07, 2020 |
For those that care to listen, I'm officially announcing my retirement from tribalism and bigotry henceforth. Not only is it draining, pointless and toxic to my well being and self-growth, it has ended up tilting towards a more paradoxical twist in recent events in my life. I've fallen in love with a Yoruba girl, met her at in my last semester of pharmacy school here in Texas, and e be like say na this girl I go marry... her parents absolutely love me and call me "Omo Ibadan", I was born in Ibadan. Sad thing is I wasn't born with hate, all my closest friends, neighbors, childhood besties etc back in Ibadan were Yorubas and they loved and accepted me like no other. My dad met Tai Solarin before he passed away and he motivated my dad to be a better man till his last days. For those who know the owner of Exide battery in Ibadan... he was my dad's closest friend. I'm still in contact with his family members till today. Nairaland taught me hate and I can't make excuses for how pathetic I allowed myself to be misled by the hate that exists here. This girl has been my light through my darkest moments in life, even when man no hold shingbain, she has been supportive and understanding through those tough college years... I'll say no more than this but I've found my peace and I'll protect that girl like a Queen that she is. F**k tribalism, it can kick rocks! I'm done with Nairaland and it's toxicity for good. I wish you all ALL the best in your endeavors. I'm out! 51 Likes 3 Shares |

Ritchiee:[/s] Another long epistle of baseless rants replete with lack of facts and appreciably sound logic. Dude If I make a list of well known Igbo business tycoons who have a made a name home and abroad, it will easily rubbish that list of nobodies you painstakingly listed there , I'm not for the list compilation nonsense otherwise this thread no go contain both of us. Here are cognitively delivered facts/tweets from a sound Yoruba man who is honest enough to know his facts via research. You were never and will NEVER be a competition or form a worthy comparison anytime soon to the Igbos when it comes to commerce, business and industry. I have inundated you with facts of all the business and manufacturing industries homogeneously owned and controlled by the Igbos in the East, unlike the South West where the ownership of major firms and businesses are evenly distributed and not dominated by the Yorubas! even Ladipo has been taken over completely by the Igbos who have now displaced your brothers and forced them to wail and lament to Tinubu to come save them... if the Yorubas had anything or were anywhere close to having business acuity as you claim, they shouldn't be struggling so badly to dominate the Ibos even on their own turfs! you had your chance to completely displace the Ibos in the areas of commerce and business management skills after the Nigerian civil war when you flooded all the civil services, service and manufacturing sectors, economic auxiliaries, banks, corporations, markets etc with your brothers at the expense of the Ibos who were struggling due to severe post war anti-Igbo policies initiated by the government to cripple the Ibos for good... Ibos had to deal with the upheal task of getting back to all the mainstream nerve-centers of Nigeria, and we rolled up our sleeves and to the nitty-gritties of rebuilding with little or no support... you succeeded only for a short while, but the Ibos completely caught up and are now ahead of you however marginally in all the indices of achievements you can mention now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjgchZExv2E

Ritchiee:Fantastic nonsense. How many businesses, manufacturing, production and service industries in the whole of the SW on a percentage basis are indigenously owned by Yorubas? all over Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti states all the major major and petty businesses are either owned by Igbos or other Nigerians and foreign investors with few sprinklings of Yoruba owned businesses...major importers and distributors in Lagos ports are heavily populated by Igbos as well. Meanwhile Go to major industrial hubs like Nnewi, Aba, Onitsha, Akwa etc and see how Igbos monopolize and control 99% of commercial industries... Yet you have the guts to compare yourselves to Igbos? Lmaooo, simple task just conduct a poll or survey on social media and ask which tribe is best at commerce, economics and business in Nigeria... then come back and show me your result. |
