Hello dear, while you are planning your finance pls bear in mind that there may be other charges aside your tuition such as the fees you pay per semester and the medical insurance.
You may want to put those into consideration too. So, don't work with 5k dollars as you are likely to be underestimating.

No. Your tuition balance is 5k. But anyway you don't pay all your tuition at a go. There's a proration element. A simple example: your tuition for 1 year (2 semesters I think) is 16k would mean you pay 8k per semester.

Apart from your tuition, you'll also need to show that you have 15k for your room and board, transportation, books and other miscellaneous expenses. You aren't paying the money to the school. They just want to be sure you have enough money to take care of yourself.

The total cost of attendance ought to be 31,000 but since you have been funded up to the tune of 11,000. It therefore means you need to show financial evidence that you have 20,000 for you to be given I-20.

This is sacrosanct regardless of your intention to or not to stay in school hostel. Once this condition is satisfied, you can then make a decision of where to stay on getting to US.

yep. even on my application status it's saying not yet recommended. it will come soon. the main thing is the department recommending u. I have even registered at my center, jst admission form remaining to complete my file

If u are for MPH, just start attending ur classes already.. Work don choke there sotey some don't even understand if they are postgraduate or undergraduate

don't worry it will come as long as ur dept has recommended u and u r not the only one waiting for the letter. I am also waiting since 1st wk of March. don't have recommendation mail too.but different departments. the pg sch and my admission offer said I shld be patient it will come. jst start attending ur classes

guyz pls help me! I still haven't gotten my admission letter signed not to talk of paying acceptance fee I got a recommendation text message from the department on 26th of February but no mail.. I have been going to the PG school n I'm always being told to come back is it not too late now.. . please help I applied for MPH. please any one with useful info should reply me... thank u

Hello Bobority,

Bank statements are NOT required for an F1 visa. You are welcome to bring those to the interview, but they will most likely not be requested from the officer.

Yeah. Sorry for long silence, I lost my phone. And as for the trip to Human Nutrition, well, knowing that it resides in UI just complicated things... Can't remember when last I visited that area. Believe me bruh, my dept is choking us and we barely have time for ourselves. I'll ask around for peeps in Human Nutrition too, then try to link you up. I think it's the best I can do.
In all, my candid advice is that you come and verify things yourself.

Wait for your admission letter to be signed by the registrar that is when you can pay. My dear no shortcut it's step by step tingy no jmping.

You have no issues. Wait for the pg school to notify you and effect it on the portal. They can be slow atimes

The text message is a way for the dept themselves to contact you to come for lectures. The normal procedure is an online thing on your portal, which will be directed by the pg school.
You should have gotten a recommendation mail,if not, you will get soon. If it delays, try and find out why at pg school since dept themselves are telling you they recommended you.
After the recommendation mail will be a mail telling you that ur admission letter is ready and signed by the deputy registrar, it is at this point that you will be able to print your acceptance invoice and use it to pay acceptance fee. Ones confirmed, you will be scheduled for clearance and registration will commence.
In the meantime, you have to appear for lectures as directed by the dept.
As for school fees, no know knows yet, it was 200k for the set of last session.
