Thanks for replying. I actually haven't started the application yet. The thing is I spent about 10 months in the UK last year and up to six months this year, so that's collectively more than 12 months. What I need to confirm is if the 12 months is a continuous stretch or counted across different periods. I think it may be better to apply for a different Nigerian police report and not use the one you got for the UK. NHQGUY: I am currently at that upload section now, was going to ask aswell. Though I am sure its not a UK police report but a Nigerian Police Report, you'll see it written there 'Nigeria. My own confusion is if I can upload the police report I used while coming to UK, it has the United Kingdom as destination written on it. |

Hi all,
I have two questions regarding the police report:
1) how does one apply for a Nigerian police report if one is based in the UK? 2) are you expected to apply for a UK police report if you have never lived there for 12 consecutive months but collectively if all months are counted, they add up to over 12 months?
Thanks in advance.
Also, I would like to connect with any business analyst who got a 189 invitation. |

Good morning guys,
For those who raised 190 EOI for Victoria, have you received any emails from Victoria? I got a response to my ROI this morning and would like to know (from those who have more info or have gone through the process), what the next steps are.
Thanks in advance. |

Thank you. In my case, current employer does not give such letters so I had to resort to using a sworn affidavit for the first assessment. I guess I have to do this again, right? tunlex01: You should get new/recent payslips (bank statement, pension, tax, payslips etc, reference letter etc) |

Hello,
For those who know or have been in this situation, if an ACS assessment result has expired, can one submit the same documents used for the first assessment to reapply for a new assessment especially if maximum points have already been claimed and employer has not changed?
Thank you. |

Is there anyone here considering to or has submitted an ROI to SA for ICT Business Analyst (261111) as an offshore applicant? It seems the only visa category specified for offshore candidates is 491. |

Hi, Thanks for this tip. I only have one EOI but selected all states, so if I create individual EOIs and withdraw the initial one, would there be any adverse effect? stifo2012: I would advice you create different EOI for each state. Every state has her requirements which you may not be able to meet on one EOI. For example, Tasmania will not nominate you if you have selected other states too in your EOI. You could also consider TRA as tradies are high demand. |

Hello people,
I submitted an EOI in April 2020, which I updated in September 2020. Given that EOIs last two years, what would be the expiry date for my EOI - April 2022 or September 2022? Being an offshore applicant and considering how COVID has disrupted things, I am concerned on how this would play out. Also, how does the way Australia's financial year system (1 July XX to 30 June XX) affect things? |

I need to change some money for maintenance expenses. Are banks offering forex for this or I have to look elsewhere?
Thanks in anticipation of your helpful replies. |

It's not necessary to change it. I put an address that's in a different city to my school, and got my visa without incident. What matters is that the TB cert is still valid i.e. less than six months. fakmurphy: I was curious that was why I asked. I put a UK residential address since I wasn't sure which UNi I'll be choosing then. |

Just my two cents. I didn't declare any POF or any pay part of my fees before I was issued a CAS. I only needed to fulfil an outstanding obligation to change my status from CO to UO, after which my CAS was issued. I guess it works differently across schools. LagosismyHome: And when they reject you what would be the purpose of doing this. You would have wasted your application fees, you be sad and then go through the trouble of reapplying again taking more than the time you were trying to avoid. Please how does that make sense
Rules are put there for a reason and meant to be followed. Something as simple as a UK point based system, you see people doing too much and later when there is a problem coming here to cry
What POF did you use for your cas or your school didnt ask ?... anyway me I cannt advice you more than follow the official rules. It is there NOT for DECORATIONS but meant to be followed to the letter T... that the structure of a Point Based system .. the rules states your money must be in your account for at least 28days. If he decides to go against it then o well. Whatever the outcomes then you guys will take it like that . Simple .
If you want to beat any time frame /rush then it better you wait your 28days and pay PRIORITY or supper priority instead of standard application. That a wiser decision |

Congratulations on getting your PR. I know you said it took you 11 months, do you mind sharing the month you lodged your EOI? Thanks. Silverpurple: I will appreciate insight from people here to know if this covid period is a good time to relocate to Aussy...
I recently got the Aussy, 189 PR visa. I stay and work in Lagos earning 550k a month. Is this a good time to leave all and move to Aussy. I am a software developer in Lagos.
Also, I have a wife and infant son.
Thanks for your advice.. |

I don't know if it is necessary, but i highlighted mine (that's just the kind of person I am). Goodies1: Hello great minds,
I'm putting together my documents for submission for assessment. For the bank statement, please is it necessary to highlight salary payments on it before sending in? |

You can find the information you need for assessments on the ACS website: https://www.acs.org.au/msa/information-for-applicants.htmlScroll to the bottom left where you'll see a bunch of links that will point you in the right direction. afrobaby: That is the real problem. I have never requested for my transcript before, I just requested now and was told it would take a while before it would be delivered. I am using my husband's company as the organisation so I can have a copy.
I also saw that ACS will collect $500 for the assessment, oluwa mi, that is on the high O. Anyways, waiting for my transcript first.
What do I need to get from my former employees or do I just submit my CV to ACS?
Sorry for so many questions jare |

Hello all,
I submitted an EOI in April this year which I updated with additional points for English last month. I am presently doing a Masters in a UK university (started early this month). Am I supposed to update my EOI with this information? I am projected to complete the Masters in September 2021.
@Tunlex01, @Bellong for your kind attention. Thanks. |

Posts like this... if you can use the internet (which i've seen that you can), there's hardly much justification for using agents. The information you need to apply for visas is freely available...on the internet. Dadalomo: Pls I have been banned in Uk before after my agent then used fake documents back in 2008 I was banned for 10years , my issue now is I did not know I was banned the first time I applied in 2008 so I applied again in 2012 when I applied again in 2012 I used another agent and he packaged some documents for me like fake marriage documents now I can find the wedding certificate I don't know the date in document , my banned has expired now I plan to apply next year for visiting visa , pls what can I do |

I don't think you can be discriminated against based on your age. I am older than you and am currently doing my Masters. All the best with your application. ThatEdoFemme: Ok thanks. i always stop half way. Afraid my age (35) will be a hindrance if i apply myself. Now i know you all got admissions yourself. whats the average time for response from the Universities after an application? |
