Hello all,
If I opt for the self service upload option on TLS, what other supporting documents am I to upload apart from these: 1) Evidence of fees paid 2) Bank statement (maintenance funds) 3) Qualifications (undergrad certificate and transcript) 4) Passport data page
Am I also supposed to upload a copy of my completed visa application or just take the hard copy along for my appointment?
Thanks. |

To answer your question, provide as many payslips as you have. Do your payslips carry the company letter head? If yes, then you should be fine. hemekhar: Hello House,
I've spent hours reading and also gone through the ACS page. I want to do my skills assessment with ICT Security Specialist 262112, I'm a bit confused however on their payment evidence; Can I just send evidence for the first and last month of each year or am I supposed to send proof for all the months? The narrations on my salary payments did not include my employer's name.
Also, my total work experience is 4 years, 9 months. Can I claim 5 years or should I wait till I clock 5 calendar years?? |

Hello, Could you please expatiate on the emboldened text? Experience4u: I don't think your info is exactly correct. Nomination depends on occupation. Some occupation like Poultry farmer or Fitter can get you nomination at 65 to 75 points while some occupation like ICT Or engineering you will need like 80 to 95 points.
However, by July occupation ceiling will be revised and those occupations on special conditions may be revised back to normal. |

Read the guidelines (those two links showing in the same screenshot you posted) for clarity on what you need to pay. All the information you need for the skills assessment is right there on their website. Ormoretayour: Please anyone with idea of the TRA assessment fees? I think you should include your MSc. The assessment requirements for your occupation seem quite straightforward and are the least complicated I have seen. There's some information on employment in this link below in case you hadn't already seen it: https://www.aitsl.edu.au/migrate-to-australia/skilled-employment-statementThis screenshot is from the FAQ section of the AITSL website and provides more information on eligible qualifications Lislekelsey: Thank you so much! God bless you! Will I be accepted if I put in my msc with no employment experience at all? All my 3yrs experience is before Msc
As to state that offers nomination Victoria is one of them... Checked and there seems to be a rise for need for teachers in Victoria too.

Hello,
What materials are you referring to pls? Is it the one in the dropbox location on the first page?
[quote author=Dwebb55 post=79256578]My appreciation to everyone especially the one that started the thread and black orange that responded to my queries. I sat for my PTE recently using the materials here and my results came out very good; reading 90, writing 90, listening 89 and speaking 83.
What did I do? I downloaded the materials and tried the first exercise. I found it scary at first and then I proceeded to learn online via YouTube. The particular series that i learnt and practiced their methods was by E2learning by a facilitator named Jay. You can get there by typing pte exam practice with Jay and it should pop up.
If you follow his steps and then practice with the links above, I'm assured that you should do well. |

The relevance is that, for a skill level 1 occupation BSc is the minimum requirement. For instance, VETASSESS only recognise BSc from Tier 1 universities like Unilag. If your university is not classify as Tier 1, then it has to be a 5 years program. If it's not, the BSc will be graded as equivalent to their Associate Degree and not BSc. |

How/where do you check what level an occupation is? And what's the relevance of this? Thank you. tunlex01: Welldone bro. In his case, he does not need those questions. Pharmacy is always a 5 year course in Nigeria.
He would not need to submit his MSc to Vetassess cos that would not help his assessment since he's assessing for a level 3 occupation. |

Thanks for replying. The reason I asked is because there seems to be a requirement for additional documentation (CV and signed Nomination Declaration). In the sample CV provided, we are asked to provide contact details - address, telephone number. Is it ok to provide my Nigerian details? Thanks. tunlex01: Just put in your EOI, there is nothing else to do after than to wait for an invite. Victoria will invite when they deem necessary.
Pre-invite for Vic is peculiar to IT and few other occupations. Others can apply directly. |

I think those checks can only happen when you get an invitation to apply for the PR visa. So all you can do now is pray for a favourable outcome with ACS (since you have already obtained maximum points in English). Knight1: Hi @Bodacious1 @tunlex01
Thanks for helping so far. I've submitted documents to ACS for skills assessment. I was wondering if there is any thing I could be doing while waiting for the outcome.
Like Health check, Police check etc.
Thanks |

I uploaded my transcript myself to ACS (I had requested for a copy from my university since 2018 and I've been using the same copy for a number of other things since that time). As long as the copy you have is stamped and verified/signed by your university, you should be fine. Knight1: My total points for State nominated 190 Stream is 90; but I haven't found the requirements (especially the minimum points required for Victoria - Melbourne) For 491, it's 100 points.
Also, I read somewhere that Australian Computer Society doesn't accept student copy of transcript for skill assessment In case you are familiar with their process, Do they expect to be mailed the transcript from the school, or it's okay if you somehow have a copy for yourself?
Thank you.

Yes, thanks for clarifying about the NSW 190 requirements. I was coming from the angle of ICT business analyst profession, but since he's/she's thinking of assessing as ICT project manager then it's worth considering. cc @Knight1 tunlex01: 12 month living and work requirement for NSW is for few occupations not all the occupations. Most occupations only require high points to get 190. For SA 190, you need 95 points in total with 8 years experience and superior English.
As you rightly said, 491 is the new gold. If 190 comes..that's awesome; if not, take 491 and move. |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Bodacious1: 10:35pm On Feb 08, 2020 |
I don't think the POF applies across all states. The conditions for 190 across all states though are quite "interesting". For instance, NSW requires you to have had a job in your nominated occupation in NSW for at least 12 months before applying for 190 (double check sha just to be sure). Not sure what your total points are, but seeing as your English is superior proficiency, I suggest you also check out https://www.migration.sa.gov.au. That's the link for South Australia (SA). If your points average 95 (inclusive of state nomination), then 190 for SA may work for you. Alternatively, you may consider the 491 route. Knight1: Thank you very much. Apparently, they need AUD30,000 as proof of funds. That destabilized me a bit. Is it the same across board for all states, because I'm already shifting eyes to NSW |

Lol, a special good case. As per ACS guidelines, I can only submit pay info for myself (which I already did anyway) not for the deponent. If you can remember or suggest anything else, I'll be grateful. Thanks. sbank: Yours is a special case o...I'm wondering why offer letter was not enough for your assessor. Payslips, bank statement showing salary payment, tax clearance or pension.
You should also re-attach the offer letter when submitting.

Hello everyone,
So I received the following response from ACS on this issue:
The Evidence of employment of the deponent of the statutory Declaration is required – The Offer of employment is not sufficient
Apart from the person's ID card what other evidence can I provide? Note that I had earlier submitted the person's employment offer letter.
Thank you

[quote author=Bodacious1 post=86251778]Hello people,
I received the results of my ACS assessment this morning.

The only thing I saw is to attach the referee's appointment letter which I did. I'll check again though for any other thing. Thanks a lot. topacs: Go for a review, but before
then check the ACS revised guidelines as regards not been able to get reference letter on letterhead, I believe it's stated that the person referencing you must attached their ID cards or something like that, U can check and get the real details before u apply for a review... |

I should have indeed. Thank you for your help, I will update as events unfold. tunlex01: Jeez..this should have been submitted to give credence to why you used a stat declaration.
The information on ACS website is not clear to me if it's a review or an appeal.
It's best you send an email to ACS explaining the issue and asking which of the options to go for.
Whether it is appeal or review, you should submit every proofs, all scanned in PDF format and attach the printed email and the statutory declaration. |

@bellong @tunlex01 Bodacious1: Hello people,
I received the results of my ACS assessment this morning.
My first employment was assessed as suitable for all the years I worked there; however my second (and current) employment was deemed not assessable (reason - "due to insufficient documentation"). I have worked at my current job for almost seven years so I find this quite worrisome.
More so, I submitted the same kind of documentation (payslips, pension statements and bank account statements) for both employments. The only difference is I submitted a reference letter (written by HR on company letter head etc) for my first job, while I had to submit an affidavit for my current job because my employer explicitly informed me that they do not issue skills attestation letters.
What do you advise I do? Request a review or appeal from the ACS?
Also, please how many points does this educational qualification amount to: AQF Bachelor Degree with a Major in computing
In the meantime, I plan to first contact them via email regarding this result.
Thank you. |
