sure you can use the fan with AC current. I don't know what overcharge and discharge protector means but it stops charging after a long while and also stops working if in operation for a number of hours

that's exactly what overcharge and discharge protector does. Also, pls how long can it work once fully charged?

QASA 18inches,mine going 3 years strong and still working perfect,but I have changed the batteries twice in the last 12 month,but first follow come battery lasted 2 years no issues.
And you can charge and use it at the same time,it would blow even faster while charging.

Thanks a lot Sir! Changing batteries twice in the last one year is quite a big turn off. A think a battery of 12v cost 6,000+ on Jumia so spending 12k to maintain the fan within a year is not really cool.

it actually works when there's electricity. there's another port for charging it with solar panel and other DC source. while charging through that port is when you will not be able to use it. it is a great fan BTW.

I think I'm likely to go for that Lontor brand.

Albeit, I meant can you use the fan with AC current(NEPA or Gen) whether charging simultaneously or not? Does it have overcharge and discharge protector? Thanks a lot for the info!

I own a lontor brand for the past 6months, it's been serving faithfully this far. only that you can't be charging it on DC while using it at the same time

I was on guest mode, I had to login because of your senseless comment. Wait, it seems we Nigerians can't be satisfied no matter what. They gave their candid solutions and acted best as statemen. And I think their suggestions and opinions are really worthwhile especially that of Prof. Wole Shoyinka. They deserve some encomiums rather than vituperations and invectives.

Personally, I don't believe in death sentence... I believe in making people suffer and regret their actions while they're alive. Pls my 32 inches led tv is 41 watts, my standing fan is 75 watts and my home theatre stereo is 65 watts. These are my basic needs. I think we should have approximately 200 watts including lightening. Pls can the 500 wattage suffice for all this basic needs? Thanks.

Wrong! not out of insecurity or lack of money... It's simply awkward addressing an elderly person in such manner. There's a way I address my younger ones, there's a way I address my mate and of course, there should be a way I should address elderly ones in the society.

Can you address your dad the same way you address your siblings or children far younger than you?

I ask people older than me same. If you feel offended, its your headache, not mine.

Personally, I think it's awkward greeting elderly ones with 'how are you'

I treat others just as I want others to treat me. I can't imagine a 10 or 15 years old telling me 'how are you' instead of 'good morning/afternoon'
