What the applicant is required to prove is that they are in a genuine and still existing relationship with their partner.
They don't even have to be married; they could be cohabiting partners.

My friend and her husband and 3kids just landed this morning. They paid 3715pounds and yes she used her student visa likewise the dependants. The airlines are just moving mad but yes students have resident rights and can travel.

I am that person that uploaded my degree cert instead of waec cert, as I didn’t realize on time that my CAS stated waec not degree certificate.
Despite this, God still showed up for me and my family.

Submitted VAF for me and my family on 4/11/21 (priority visa)
Did biometrics on 5/11/21
Got non straight forward mail for my dependents (husband and 2kids) on 9/11/21
Didn’t get any for myself
Got collection mail for all of us on 12/11/21
Visa granted
It can only be God

I and my husband did the application ourselves. We also opted for self upload. All the information we got was from this platform. I think I need to share this for some family applicants. I got my visa sometimes in August and I hv 4 dependents but the money in my account couldn’t carry everyone so I hv to apply alone and state that I will be traveling alone meanwhile I applied with the balance of 19m in my account after paying my tuition. I came to the UK in September, got my BRP and accommodation paper and sent copy back to my spouse, two weeks after my arrival my dependents group of 4 submitted their application with the same account but not the same statement now with account balance of 18m though I hv some debits and inflows but I never allow the balance to down below 18m for two from from the time I applied. To God be the glory they all got their visa yesterday.

My Advice;
If you do not have the capital to apply together, apply alone and come over get your BRP and other documents to show that you are already in the UK then your family members can apply after.

Meanwhile the system here is different am not trying to discourage anyone but be ready to adapt to difficult situation most especially if you plan to school and work, my school is 7hrs lecture daily with breaks in between so it’s kind of difficult to school and work
