Singer 9ice has officially declared his intention to run for a
political office in the 2015 Nigeria General Elections.
9ice has aspirations to contest for a seat in the Federal House of
Representatives for Ogbomosho North/Ogbomosho South/Orire
Federal Constituency in 2015.
This was confirmed after the singer shared his primary campaign
poster on Instagram. The poster shows the 'Gongo Oso' maestro
looking ceremonial, in a traditional white garment, an orange
coloured native cap, brown trousers and a shoe, in a setting
which reeked of opulence.
News of his political ambition had broken out in January 2014,
with the singer confirming his switch from music to politics in an
interview with newsmen.
“I’m leaving music, I need to go into something more challenging.
Music is no longer competitive for me, I’ve done all that needs to be
done in music”. He revealed to Hiphopwold.
9ice who is famous for his use of the Yoruba language in songs,
follows a well-trodden path, which has had many entertainers
give up their talent for leadership.

Tonto Dikeh has expressed shock at a purported interview where she
allegedly dissed Genevieve Nnaji.
The star has said that the interview is false and she never
described Genevieve as eternally single.
She protested via Instagram and said she does not even grant
interviews to soft-sell magazines.

THE candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the August 9
governorship election in Osun state, Chief Iyiola Omisore, went missing
yesterday at a radio debate where he was supposed to square up to the
incumbent,Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Aregbesola is flying the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the
election.
Also unavailable at yesterday’s debate organized by the International
Republican Institute [IRI]was Alhaji Fatai Akinbade of Labour Party (LP).
The absence of other leading contenders in the election left the candidate of
the All Progressives Congress [APC], Rauf Aregbesola, having all the time
allotted for the “Manifesto Hour” programme to himself.
Although Akinbade, sent his running mate to stand in for him the
debate organisers disallowed him from participating, saying the rule was that
candidates would not be represented by proxies.
The Unity Party of Nigeria [UPN] candidate, Ibrahim Adeoti, who was not
invited to the debate, was allowed time to speak even when he was not initially
invited.
He walked in on his own and insisted to be allowed to speak.
Organizers were shocked at Omisore and Akinbade’s failure to turn uo.
”We wrote to them and up to 20 minutes to the beginning of the programme,
they were still giving us the impression they would be attending,” said Ezenwa
Nwagwu, an official of the Partners for Electoral Reform, who moderated the
debate on behalf of the IRI.
“We even started the debate 45 minutes late just because we were waiting for
the PDP and LP candidates to show up.”
The Director of Media and Strategy,Omisore’s Campaign |Organisation, Diran
Odeyemi, claimed his principal was not properly invited.
”It was only this morning (yesterday) that our candidate (Mr. Omisore)
received a text message reminding him of the debate and that he was being
expected at the OSBC studios,” Mr. Odeyemi said,adding:”We did not receive
any letter from them. We have a rally today in Ikirun and as I speak to you,
we are on our way there.”
But Mr. Nwagwu rubbished Mr. Odeyemi’s claim, calling it “mere political
shenanigan”.
“We invited them properly,” Mr. Nwagwu said. “It was not verbal invitations.
We wrote them letters and the records are there. If we did not properly invite
them, how did the APC candidate attend? How did the LP candidate get to
send his running mate?”
The Labour Party admitted that Akinbade was invited but explained that he
could not personally attend as he had another appointment to keep,hence the
decision to his running mate.
”In order not to create a vacuum, he sent his running mate but the organizers
did not allow him to speak,” said Kayode Oladeji, the spokesperson for Mr.
Akinbade, the LP candidate.
“As far as we are concerned, we fulfilled all righteousness. It is the
organisers thst should explain why they did not allow our candidate’s running
mate to participate.”
However, Mr. Nwagwu declared that rules were clear from the start.
“We had made it clear that only candidates, and not their running mates were
expected to participate. There was no room for running mates and they all
know that,” he said.
Aregbesola told listeners that the best thing to have happened in the since
its creation are his programmes which the PDP wants to destroy.

Amagiya says, Pastor Chris Okotie may not be the people’s favourite but has

in his service to God and humanity.

No doubt, the ageless multi award winning pop Musician, Chris
Okotie; now known as Rev. Chris Okotie is a very wealthy man; who
loves seeing the faces of people light up whenever he gives.
He doesn’t need any introduction to Nigerians as his album ‘I need
someone’ brought him to limelight in the 80′s. It would also be
recalled that Pastor Chris left singing secular songs for gospel songs
more than 30 years ago; after he repented.
Today, he writes gospel songs and he sings to worship God. It is also
worthy of note that Rev. Chris is also a writer as he wrote the best
selling book titled “The last outcast” which was a sell out. Pastor
doesn’t have a choir in his church yet awesome songs are produced

parks and its extensive fallow land is worth billions of naira. He has
other choice properties in the United State of America worth millions
of dollars.
The church auditorium is a beautiful, large edifice, built to house more
than 2000 people or more. Although, Household of God Church is not
as crowded like people would have expected it to be, but they have
the ability and movement of a batallion as Rev. Chris would always
say that “God doesn’t work with the crowd, but with selected few who
are ready to work in the his vineyard”.
INVESTMENTS
Rev. Chris Okotie believes strongly in investing in the lives of people;
he is described by all who has made contact with him as an intense
giver. He also believes that “God who has called him would take care
of him”.
So he doesn’t believe in any investment except in the service of God
and humanity. But even at that; he is arguably one of the richest
pastors in Nigeria; as he collects very expensive wrist watches, wears
expensive suits, ties, perfumes and shoes.
Rev.Chris spoke extensively on this very issue in one of his sermons.
According to him ” working in line with God’s will and direction for
my life has made me buy more expensive cars and wear more
expensive clothes than most of my colleagues”.
CHARITY
Pastor Chris spends a lot of money on charity as he is enjoys giving.
He jokingly told the church on one of such Sundays that he spends
over two hundred and fifty thousand naira each Sunday buying gifts
for people.
The Yuletide seasons are not left out as he spends millions through
the church making Christmas season beautiful for the less privilege in
the Society.
Pastor and the church has a yearly grace programme; on the
programme they organise an award event known as Karis award for
people who did amazing things in their field of specialty.
CARS
He is an unrepentant car freak; as his cars are estimated to be over
N400m. He has cars such as BMW, to exotic models of Range Rover
and Mercedes Benz. Recently, he added a Rolls Royce Phantom, 2014
edition to the fleet in his garagewhich cost him a whooping sum of
N80m. That was to be a personal gift to celebrate his 27 years on the
pulpit and 30 years as a born again Christian.
