Nigeria is in a dire state at this moment, and from my experience as someone who analyses intelligence, I have gloomy predictions for Nigeria, But on the brighter side, these predictions could be reversed if proper measures are taken to bear the grunt of the cataclysmic impact of the barage of problems that could face us next year. Here they go

1) Nigeria Might Likely break Up next year, the divide would be more on the Religio/ethnic lines. I.E christian south/muslim North,

2) President Jonathan might Likely win the Elections, and General Buhari could possibly incite Northern Nigerians to fight for their rights, Thereby leading to Ethno/Religious tensions that might inadvertently lead to the break up of Nigeria.

3) The United states of America might set up a permanent African Command (AFRICOM) base In Northern Nigeria, and the likely reason for the setting up of the base would be, because of Increase in terrorist Group activities like Boko Haram, Al Shabab, Al qaeda in The sahel, etc, But it would be a front (war by Proxy) to cause more trouble in Nigeria that could likely make Nigeria end up like The Iraq and Afghanistan of today.

4) Nigeria might end up forming a unity government, inorder to forestall peace and unity between the north and south. Thereby leading to Nigeria having both A president and a prime minister.

These are my predictions for next year, although they might look gloomy, but these are the near worst case scenarios of things that could happen to Nigeria, come next year, there are more predictions, But these Four are my top most, feel free to add yours.

I don't agree with a lot of these protestant pastors but I don't have a right to call them fake until they have been exposed as one; case in point Rev king, Zoe, pastor Eddie long, Ted haggard, etc if someone decides to follow a pastor because he has permed hair, has a nice car or has a nice suit that's their business.

bolaino, I think your are getting it wrong. Let me tell you why.

First, before you conclude that anything is wrong you must look at the thing and not what anybody has done with the thing. Christianity and Islam are two belief systems with an established way the adherents ought to behave. If we must be logically correct in tagging them as most dangerous then you must first have to show that that which they practice is actually set as how they ought to in the various religions.

Let me help with an analogy. Nigerians, majority of our people, are known and have shown to be incompetent and incredibly corrupt even though this very way of life which promotes evil runs contrary to the Nigerian Constitution. Imagine a brother now comes up to say that The Nigerian Constitution is the most dangerous then we, who understand the constitution, will have to examine his understanding of it. Is it even dangerous to begin with? That would be the first question.

I used the constitution because it functions the same way with the belief systems. Both try to establish some moral code.

The Nigerian situation is pathetic, and saddening, How did we get to this point? I sometimes wonder how we live with ourselves. Everyday we keep hearing the same old news of problems here and there, with no improvements In sight, if it's not boko haram killing soldiers, it would be soldiers killing boko haram, or pdp accusing apc or apc accusing pdp, is this how we are supposed to continue living? Nigerians live in denial every single day, we see our problems increasing but we seem not to care, just the other day, I heard an isreali diplomat calling places in the world that are over run by bombings and terrorism, he actually likened abuja to baghdad and co. When I heard him say this on Al jazeera I nearly cried for my country, because few years ago, I was watching the same Al jazeera and I saw bomb blast in baghdad and I was like " thank God say Nigeria no go fit be like this ooo" but today we understand what it means to live in a society where any time you are in a crowded place the thought of a bomb going off goes through your mind steadily, how did we get to this current situation? Anytime you watch the news you get sad, it's either you see and hear clueless Nigerian leaders making Ignorant statements on how to handle the current situation in the country,And with the unfortunate request from our president for an external loan of one billion dollars to buy military equipment to fight boko haram, I know that our situation seems to be hopeless, na now dem won buy weapons? how many people will have to die before the loan is granted, or how many properties would have to be destroyed before the weapons are even brought to the country, how long will it take before the army are taught on how to use these new weapons? How sure are we that Osama bin laden's son, abubakar shekau will not come and collect the new weapons that will be bought? How sure are we that chinese weapons will not be bought? We are faced with many uncertainties, but as is usual with us Nigerians, we are non chalant. The sad truth is the situation in Nigeria is worsening, is it the health sector? Let's not go there, or is it the educational sector? Nigerians, we have to be pro active, we have to learn to hold our leaders accountable, our problem in Nigeria is leadership, nothing more nothing less, if we had good leaders the Nigerian situation wouldn't have deteriorated to this extent. Nigerians are looked on with disdain in different parts of the world, the other day I heard someone making a joke that, the devil is scared of Nigerians. Although We are being told that our economy has become the fastest growing in Africa, and that Nigeria is progressing, But I don't know if there is another Nigeria, or if it's this same Nigeria that we are all living in, that has the fastest growing economy in Africa, is mtn project fame or Nigerian idols part of economic developments? Is gulder ultimate search a part of youth development? What is happening to this country?
